Ideal place to stay in Woodend which was a perfect base for exploring the region, we stayed three nights.

Fire was a treat and the owners very helpful.

The timber slat blinds were noticeably dusty but otherwise the property was very well presented

Disappointing

Good proximity to shops.

Ground floor apartment. Could hear upstairs clearly when guests were above and strange movements like animals when they weren’t. The kitchen was advertised as functional but stove tops barely work. Lost dinner twice in trying to cook. Microwave and fridge dirty on arrival. Stuffy air on arrival too. Also- location felt very exposed to main road and rail line with no security. Felt vulnerable. Property was abandoned two of my three night stay. Light bulbs not working for several lights. A little bit of love and the place would be much better. Cleaning needs serious consideration.

Superb

Lovely quiet location, warm, comfortable, most of what I needed, not right in the centre of town but a reasonable walking distance for the average fit person. Host not on site, but easily contactable and helpful when needed.

I couldn't get the stove to work, but that might have been my fault. (Just like the problem with the 'locked' door on arrival was also my fault.)

The property is closed to almost destinations we would like to visit. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate. We was able to check in early and the house generally was tidy and cozy

The carpet look like was not cleaned well. And it would be better if the pantry could have salt, sugar and oil

Comfortable, clean, and quietly luxurious

The space was modest but roomy and beautifully appointed.

The windows were a little hard to wind open, and the blinds were tricky to use.

Very relaxing...

Great accomodation, modern, clean and in a quiet street. Close walk to the shops and restaurants. Comfy beds. Good space for the family to be together for meals and also to chill separately (across the 2 apartments). Jen was a great host accomodating request for the sofa bed (which was ready on arrival) and helping with local horse-riding.

Very comfortable with all necessities. Good communication from host Jen. Exceptionally clean. Great location to main street of Woodend.

A little noisy with trains but not enough to cause concern as they don't run all night.

Walking distance to the township. Comfortable and relaxing place to stay. Loved the big sofa

We did find the stove struggled to heat up to cook our bacon and eggs so they were a bit of a flop. Maybe it was us!!

Exceptional

It was quiet, clean and central. There are stairs to the top floor which I was made aware of before my stay. Jen is a fabulous host and her eye for detail is fabulous. Loved my stay here & will be back!

There was no milk provided, so bring your own :) It wasn't an issue for me.

The town of Woodend is delightful! We had not stayed there previously but we were thrilled to see so many great restaurants and places to visit.

overall this place was spacious and cosy, however could be a little problematic for light sleepers as you can hear neigh

enjoyed making use of the big kitchen space. the couch in the living room and the bed were both incredibly comfortable. location was perfect for morning walks to the town centre.

a bit problematic for light sleepers as you can hear the footsteps from the neighbours upstairs as well as the trains that pass through the town.

Very good

The lounge and kitchen area was spacious and comfortable with all we needed. As it was quite cold it was good that the heating worked well and we enjoyed the addition of the wood heater as it made it feel cosy. We were only there for two nights but it would have been excellent for a longer stay. The grounds were pretty and it was close enough to walk in to town to eat out. The bed was good, large and comfortable. We never met the owners so we can't really comment on them. They did communicate by email and organized our entry early into the apartment which we appreciated.

There were some minor things that need upgrading. The heater part of the heater/ light in the bathroom didn't work. One light in the bedroom had a blown globe. The surrounds of the shower are showing age and wear and mould. If you are paying over $200 a night you expect these things to be better maintained. The wood outside the door for the heater needs to be under some cover as it got wet. There needs to be some instructions for the use of the tv as it was unclear whether we could log into our own subscription for Netflix. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend the accommodation but these small details do need fixing.

Very pleasant stay. I would recommend it for a quick get away or a longer stay.

Very spacious apartment with modern facilities. Full cooking facilities with all that you would need for a longer stay. It is within walking distance to the main town of woodend with walking paths all the way. Very comfortable.

The property is close to a trail line and on a semi main road. It is easy to get to but there is a fair bit of traffic on the road and trains coming past. It wasn't as quite as I would have liked but it is in a town after all.

Cosy and in prime location

It was in a prime location, 6 mins drive to a wedding destination (Mount Macedon Winery) and within walking distance to the Main Street of shops. It was peaceful not much noise, cosy and had everything we needed. The bed and couch was super comfy and loved that we had Netflix to watch :)

Will be booking again!

The room layout was fantastic, the amenities were perfect, Jen the host was fabulous in her communication, location great, everything perfect. Wood fired heater a real bonus.

Nothing really. A spare extension lead might have been handy as I needed to plug in my Cpap machine but that's pretty trivial.
