Good value for money, close enough to travel but also quiet enough to enjoy some peace from the huddle and bussel

It was secluded but close enough to shops, takeaways and main roads to get to the places we wanted to visit. It was lovely and peaceful on an evening

Nothing we didn’t really like to be honest, just the odd niggle that is more about us than the apartment. Sofa was low once sat down and only a couple of glasses in the kitchen for meal times. Solved that by picking up a couple when we went to Tesco for supplies.

good to go home! we didn't stay till Monday, left on sunday morning!

what beakfast?

the chairs were uncomfortable, too low for us elderly gents with arthritis, had to use pillows to get a good height for comfort. the sofa - no chance, if i sat on that i'd never get up! the dining chairs, ha!ha! were kiddies chairs! the beds were not comfortable, bunk bed hard to get into - and out of! shower no good, couldn't get leg over bath!

bad communication and lack of information during the stay

Check-In was flexible (key box outside)

- no information at all during the stay (like WiFi, check-out information, important things to know... and stuff like emergency numbers or the nearest hospital...) - bad communication during the stay (due to the lack of information at the beginning of our stay we needed some infos). we were not able to speak to someone when we called and the text messages we got haven't been helpful or were shortened and not really kind

How close the local amenities were. The fact that the apartment was nice and clean and very spacious. Easy to contact the host too.

There was no explanation as to where the keys were located, we were told a different an apartment to start with until I called asking where the keys were…the front door to the building doesn’t work properly which meant every time we tried to get into the building we were out there for 20-30 mins trying to get the door unlocked unless one of the neighbours helped.

The floor was dirty and some windows could not be closed. Also on the first day the Heater didnt work.

Had free upgrade due to boiler breakdown at this property so this review is not for this property. Upgraded property was amazing, can't comment on this one.

Great communication, great place, will definitely stay there again.

Bbeautiful spacious property which was a substitute to the one originally booked. Confortable, clean, well appointed, warm- had everything we needed.

No negatives.

Good location but over-priced in terms of the facilities in the flat.

There was plenty of parking Easy access to the city centre The block of flats and surrounding area was quiet It was close to supermarkets Nice art on display

Electric storage heaters which only warmed a limited amount of water, so the hot water kept running out. The main bedroom had more clothes storage than necessary for a holiday (a wardrobe and 2 large chests of drawers) but no bedside tables. It would have been better to removed one of the chests of drawers and moved the furniture round to fit in bedside tables. The toilet made a constant dripping noise Carpets were stained Mould on the shower screen Very limited glass wear (only plastic wine glasses), not much crockery No dishwasher

Disappointing

Good location; Tesco, Aldi and Lidl all within walking distance. Convenient for visiting Durham City Centre and close to family we were visiting. Plenty of clean towels and bedding provided, as well as toilet roll and milk.

The property smelt damp and musty. There was mould in the bathroom and overall it needed a deep clean; it was not up to standard. A number of light bulbs were not working, the extractor fan in the bathroom was broken and the majority of window handles had also seen better days. Overall it is run down and very overpriced, unfortunately. Also had difficulty accessing the door to the property as the lock is not functioning properly. Other properties may be in better condition; these comments relate to No. 15 on the ground floor.

We visited durham to see family. The apartment was in close proximity to where they lived and the town centre. The host's were great at communicating with us and leaving they etc. Secure car park to leave the car and the neighbourhood was quiet.

The apartment was ok, but that's it. The beds were very soft and the whole place smelt of damp and stale cigarettes. There we no working lights in the living area, we had to use the lamp from one of the bedrooms. It was ok for what we needed, I don't think it was good value for money.
