Very friendly staff and great location. Cosy and clean!
A little hard to find.
8.0 / 10.0
Its a cheap and cheerful small hostel, friendly staff, people from all over visiting while I was there. Close to the centre of Tirana and the main square, but far enough away that you are not kept awake at night with the noise of the clubs etc.
Shower door on outside bathroom doesn't lock so there were only 2 showers that I felt happy using while I was there. Could be an issue when the hostel is full.

Aircobditioner was working.
That they use "their own" currency converter. Higher than the international one. They Convert the country's own currency into euros and vice versa. so they get more money. Says nothing about it in the information. Hard to find the door to the hostel.

The location is reasonably close to restaurants and the fish and meat markets which was great. Also only about ten minutes from the city centre and night areas.
Not very security conscious as the drawers under the beds have no keys, only a couple tiny lockers.
Its quite a cold hostel, and they only turn on the heat at night around 11pm.
As the whole place is wooden beds and floors, it can be quite noisy for people coming and going, you can even hear the noise from above and below...so bring earplugs or headphones.
Hostel charges you to convert euro into Lek, which felt a bit opportunistic and wrong, and works out more expensive.
Kitchen has no hot water to clean.
Not very sociable in the down season as everyone stays in bed or out, trying to stay warm. They should heat the common room to entice more social aspect.

Nothing
The heating is only on from 11PM to 9AM. Moreover, they take the remote control and leave it on a turn on/off mode with low temperature, leaving guests to suffer a cold night.
The tap water is freezing cold!
The payment system is super informal. Even if you pay, expect a different person to come every hour and ask you why you didn’t pay.
Apart from that, the Spanish volunteer girl is friendly

We were able to drop our luggage since we were there before check-in time. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cleanest hostel i've been in so far.

private twin room with balcony is spacious and cozy. staff is helpful and bathrooms were kept clean

We stayed in the double bed room upstairs. The kitchen of the hostel is very well equipped, the common area and the outside patio is comfy and the stuff was helpful.
The room itself could use some small updates which would make the stay much more convenient such as a bedside table, maybe even a small lamp and a power strip.
The drain of the shower was clogged.

The staff was very helpful when we had questions and flexible when we wanted to stay an additional night. For three euros it is also possible to get your laundry washed.
We stayed in the hostel twice. First experience was very good. The second time we stayed in a double bedroom with its own kitchen in a building next to the actual hostel. Unfortunately the kitchen is not very well equipped. There are dozens of glasses for different types of alcohol but only two plates and one pan and one pod which both miss handles and matching lids. The oven did not work and we felt like the apartment was not properly cleaned before our arrival.

Good location, affordable private room. If you want a more laid back atmosphere in Tiranna it's worth going here.
It can get noisy at night given the common area is close to all the rooms - would be good if there was a curfew. Private room was basic but did the job.

Close to supermarket, clean bed, good wifi
There is only one shower and one toilet. The key to the front door won't open…let's put oil.

The guys volunteering are kind and there was always someone around at any time.
Beds and pillows specially were quite uncomfortable. The room had basically no window. The mattress had no proper cover and that felt dirty.
