About this cottage rental
You will feel the wonderful energy and fall in love with this beautiful cottage, quirks and all.
Originally one of the first shops in Nannup, and now a part of the Nannup Heritage Trail. This quaint cottage has old world charm with all original features such as tongue in groove wood walls and elevated ceilings, jarrah floors, cosy kitchen with ornate original Metters stove, original metal claw bath and pedestal sink, jarrah, pressed-tin and zincalume feature walls. It is a bit like walking into yesteryear.
The cottage has three bedrooms, two with a queen bed and the third room has a single bed. Every room is furnished in a quirky and colourful retro chic style. There are two reverse cycle air-conditioners in the cottage and ceiling fans in the front rooms.
There is a bathroom with bath, toilet and handbasin. There is a separate shower room.
There is a step into the laundry/bathroom area.
Heating in winter: there is a reverse cycle heater/airconditioner in the front part of the house, and another in the second bedroom. Between the two they heat the whole house. There are electric blankets on each bed and each bedroom has an oil filled heater. There is also an electric heater in the bathroom.
Extra blankets are on the beds as well as doonas.
There is a box of toys in the third bedroom and a massive backyard ready for a game of cricket.
It’s a hop, skip and a jump to the centre of Nannup where you will find shops, historical pub and cafes. Better still you are a minute away from the Blackwood River walkway taking you through nature at its best.
Nannup’s main street is quaint yet cosmopolitan and you'll certainly meet some characters.

Very easy to communicate, great information and location to make your stay relaxing.

We found the cottage easily, its located centrally in Nannup. Such a cute place with lovely comfy beds. Its a bit of yesteryear with the old metters stove (no longer in use) still in the kitchen. If you re after a coffee fix after a good nights sleep, the shop across the road makes great coffee.

Great place to stay, but would have expected an exhaust fan in the toilet/bathroom when considering it's close proximity to the kitchen.

The property was easy to find and hard to not love everything about it. Poppys place is full of charm and will take you back down memory lane. It provided everything we needed and more. Our stay was during winter so it was wet and cold outside but lovely and cosy inside. We would definitely come back to Poppys place.

Lovely cottage
This accommodation was lovely and provided everything we needed.
Very close to the centre of town and walking distance to cute cafes and shops.
The only issue we had was we were there on very hot days, and although the aircon and fans worked incredibly well in the front two rooms, even with the fans running the back two rooms were incredibly hot.

Walking distance to everything in Nannup
This is going to be a great spot for the new mountain bike trails. There was a new locked shed for bikes and easy access to all the shops.

Wonderful retro cottage
My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing weekend at this gorgeous little cottage. Everything was clean, well set up and the icing on the cake was the electric blanket on our bed to keep us warm at night! The owner was very professional and the cottage is situated in town so we were able to walk everywhere around Nannup which is such a lovely town. I would highly recommend this cute retro cottage to anyone.

We loved our stay in Poppy's Place, it was small but had everything we needed. Location was great as we could stroll around town but it is on a major road and trucks do go past from the early hours. Loved the cutsy retro feel but hope you like firm mattresses as the beds were pretty solid! A great weekend away!

My friends and I had such a lovely weekend away in this beautiful cottage! Lots of heating available so we were warm and comfortable, with easy walking distance to everything in town. Particularly enjoyed the bath!

Absolutely lovely
Loved this property. So many details to enjoy and truly feels like home. Great outdoor spaces too. Very convenient location. Wish we could have stayed longer. We definitely hope to return.

Retro cottage ('the blue house on the corner') is divine. Stylish retro interior design. Well stocked & decorated by owners there's no need to take anything apart from food & drinks. Loved fairy lights at front of property. Even had an LP player which I loved with records - Shirley Bassey, Neil Diamond, ABBA, Glen Campbell & more! Location is ideal - walking distance to all Nannup main street cafes, shops & pub.

It was great to go back in time-reminded me of my early days as a new migrant living in East Perth, in a cottage similar to Poppy's Place!The gardens were beautiful and it was a peaceful and restful stay.

Apart from my height disadvantaged friend who did not feel safe climbing in to shower in the bath we really enjoyed the ambience.

Home away from home
We enjoyed this nice cozy house for 2 nights. It has it’s own charms and we felt so relaxed.
It’s clean and tidy inside. The front garden is well maintained with many beautiful flowers.
It is placed in the middle of town and we were able to explore cafes and shops by walking.
We also enjoyed cheese shop and lavender farm nearby, easy to get there by a car.
We are looking forward to visit there for relax holiday again.

Watch for the blue wren..
This cottage was a great place to stay. It’s central location to the sweetest little county township of Nannup was a bonus. Sitting on the verandah out the front surrounded by the delightful, well maintained cottage garden, watching the birds, including the blue wren that visited was bliss. We found the cottage clean, tidy and equiped with all the necessities. Oh the beds were so warm and comfy, along with the crisp white linen . Thanks for having us.

Perfect step back in time
This gorgeous cottage has everything you need for a rest from the rat race. You will feel like you gave stepped back in time with the 50’s inspired decor but the beds are luxurious and the shower superb. Perfect location in town. We loved it.
