Lovely home with terrific views, spacious and beautiful inside, comfortable beds, well-furnished kitchen, stunning views of Georgian Bay, responsive owner, perfect for getaways and hikes.

This is a beautiful home with a beautiful view. Unfortunately it did not look like it did in the listing. There were weeds grown up all over the property making it look slightly abandoned. Once we went inside it was rather obvious that it had not been cleaned properly. We spoke to the owner right away and he offered to have someone come to clean the next day or a partial refund. There were two holes in the ceiling on the second floor, the shower on the second floor had a squeegee that had been left there so long that there was a large stain around it, the tv and dvd player did not work, the handle on the washing machine was broken so we had to use a screwdriver to shimmy it open.

The house is as beautiful and spacious as described and the views of the water from the house are magical. Unfortunately, there were multiple issues with the maintenance of the house, including: the washing machine was broken, the barbecue did not work. Kitchen cabinets were faulty and one in particular, which was hanging off centre when we arrived, actually broke into pieces, one of which glanced off my 11 year old niece. The toilet on the third floor was noticeably stained and the towel rack was coming out of the wall on one end.The floor of the shower on the second floor was stained/discoloured. There were three barbecue lighters none of which worked. There were multiple lights with burnt out bulbs and no replacements available in the house. The paint on the outdoor picnic table was badly flaking. The linens are threadbare and some of the towels, though washed, had permanent staining. The area just beyond the porch of the house described as a sitting area with wrought iron furniture was unweeded and not conducive to sitting. Given the obvious pride taken with the house decor and the cost of the rental, which was significant, we were very disappointed in the lack of attention to maintenance. Every one of these issues could be (and should be) easily addressed and step should be taken as a matter of course to ensure they are in good repair before a rental.

This home is lovely and has terrific views. We were comfortable and enjoyed the swimming and the 3rd floor balcony for afternoon reading in the shade. A beautiful and spacious home inside, arts and crafts style antiques. Some antique furniture was less comfortable, but there were comfortable chairs on the middle floor and upstairs for us! Some kitchen appliances and dishes/pots needed cleaning before use.

The property immerses you in the majestic beauty of Georgian Bay and the Bruce Peninsula area. Remote enough to enjoy the natural beauty of the area, and close enough to small communities to enjoy the regions many tourist offerings. Beautifully decorated with multiple levels inside and out that all enjoy stunning views of Georgian Bay. Owner was responsive to all questions before and during our stay. The stay was just for my wife and I so plenty of room. Came home refreshed and appreciative of the beauty of this region and this home.

The cottage is beautifully furnished with all the amenities you would need. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well organized. We very much enjoyed the view from the kitchen dining room table overlooking the bay as well as the southern view by the seating area. You will need to bring your own bedding, pillows and towels as well as kitchen towels. There is a washer and dryer as well with soap. We really enjoyed our time there.

Had a perfect getaway from the city with our family. Secluded and beautiful.
Great place for hikes, swimming in Georgian bay and nature everywhere.
Although it is listed as a cottage, it’s better described as a wonderful house!

The award winning cottage is situated just a half a kilometre from the Bruce Trail which is why we rented it, but we were rewarded with an incredible view of Georgian Bay and just an amazing experience overall.
Our guests for the week agreed that the European styling of the cottage made it very comfortable for everybody, with lots of nooks and corners to get away and read.
