Clean and well set up place to stay. We found a local restaurant around the corner and had a great time in a local area.
Super clean and Host lovely. We took a taxi from station to Uji Tea Inn as it was so hot.
We walked to station the next day around 10 mins.
We were happy with our stay and have no complaints at all.
If you are looking for a unique place to stay this place is good at a good price and spotless clean

The beautiful house and the owners were super kind and helpful. I will forever remember their kindness. You will feel right at home and all amities are provided!
Nothing! Futon takes a bit of getting used to but that is if you never have used one before.

Very clean. Affordable washer/dryer (¥300 for both). Nice space to smoke (even though I don’t smoke haha). Owners are friendly. The street that the house is on is lovely and the small streets nearby (going east) are pleasant to walk.
The owners are nice but they are always in the kitchen/common space - so if you are shy or you like some alone time when you eat or cook or get some ice or a drink of water - then you will see them always.
Also the place doesn’t really have nice tea, the complimentary tea/coffee is passable but not great.
There is no bath, but shower is fine. Shampoo but no hair conditioner!
It’s a good place to stay for one night, but we stayed a whole week and were really looking forward to leaving.

The room was nice and the futon was comfy to sleep on. The location was perfect as it was easy to get to Kyoto and to explore Uji. I loved the opportunity to see a place that I wouldn't have otherwise seen.
It would have been great to have more facilities in the room, like a kettle so that I could drink tea in the morning.

The hosts were very kind and helpful. They recommended a tea shop nearby which was very good. The house was clean and cozy.
The location was a bit too far from the JR/train. We have to walk for almost 30 minutes. Apart from that, everything was fine.

The owners are so friendly and energetic. The common area is shared by everyone and it really makes you feel welcome and comfortable. They helped me learn how to sort recyclables and the ins and outs of the genkan and getabako. The tatami mats were clean and fragrant. It couldn't have been a more perfect summer stay.
The roadway outside is a little narrow for how quickly cars drive by but this is a common occurrence in Japan. There's a slight walk to either the JR or Kintetsu rail station but it's worth it for the view.

Beautifully kept house which is kept immaculately.
the four person room is a little tight for four (although definitely feasible)

The inn was decorated nicely and the rooms smelled very good due to the natural materials they were constructed from. The staff was very warm and welcoming and I felt right at home. The common area was a good size and the kitchen was spacious. The toilet, shower, and sink areas were very clean. It was easy to come and go as I pleased and the secured, keycode protected door made me feel safe.

Super good value for money! Ms Lin speaks Chinese which helps so much. She is also very helpful.
The room does not have good sound proof.

The owner was very helpful and was able to fulfil all our requirement, I like the 24hr hot tea/coffee machine, During our last day, the owner was able to quickly change a washing machine to allow us to quickly do a proper wash before a grand public event, This was the best inn I stayed in Uji and will come back again in future. We appreciate his permission to allow us to hold our luggage before we left Kyoto.

This charming 100-year-old house was very cozy and homey! I loved the traditional Japanese ambiance and the comfort. The inn was very clean, and the owners were very hospitable and sweet — they were clearly very passionate about refurbishing this old house, and they told me about the history of some of the inn's antiques. The free coffee and tea (in cute cups!) was a nice touch, too.
Can't be helped since it's an old house, but the rooms aren't soundproof; the walls are thin. This is pretty common for traditional houses, though, so if you want a traditional Japanese experience but are a light sleeper, I recommend bringing earplugs.

It was amazing, thank you for everything.
