About this house rental
Really a unique place! You really feel like you're way out in the country.
Walk down to the river, skip stones on the pond, sit and listen to the birds. Fantastic fireplace, a great kitchen.
We have 2 bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a sofa bed, the "Library" has a trundle bed with 2 twin beds that can connect or not. In the living room there is a sofa bed that bends back to become a full bed. We also have a few Queen size raised air beds to set up in a large tent or on the porch.
For more than 4 guests, the price is $50/ night for each extra guest. 8 guests are a full house!
We love dogs, and have had guests brings their dogs for the last 9 years.
But the house always gets torn up, screens ripped, etc.
If you want to stay, and have a dog, and you can assure me that your dog won't bark all the time and be quiet, and does not shed, let's talk about it.
Some of the time I stay in my vintage RV at the other end of the property. I value my guests' privacy, so you will not see or hear me, unless you need me! My iPhone is the front desk!

Gorgeous property immersed in nature! The backyard was Eden filled with the sounds of birds and trees swaying in the wind! Had a wonderful time relaxing here- especially time spent chilling on the screened back porch. The hot tub was also a bonus! The house was clean and comfortable. I had a few questions about how to operate the hot tub, and Donna responded immediately. I would definitely return. The location is also perfect - not far form the beaches, restaurants, etc. Loved my time here! Thank you Donna!

Sweet little cozy cabin in the tranquil nature. Our host was so very sweet and helpful! She guided us around the property with her cute little dog Freda! There is a river and pond in the far back of the property. We had coffee on the screened in pario every morning and watched the deer and various birds. It is a beautiful and quiet relaxing retreat of a property/home! The rooms were clean and fresh, and amything you needed was available to you. She had the air conditiiner on and waiting for our arrival! Thankyou Donna for a wonderful place to stay!

Five of us travelled to Michigan for the long Memorial Day weekend. We had activities planned for everyday. We visited the Air Zoo, Warren State Park, Airway fun center and many more. It was wonderful to go out during the day and enjoy everything Michigan had to offer. But, in the evenings we had a wonderful quiet spot to retreat and relax. The property is lined with large trees, flower beds everywhere, a garden, and plenty of wildlife. One day we came home to deer in the front yard and the local birds provided endless entertainment. The house was cozy and relaxed and felt like coming home for the night. We had a wonderful time, Donna was very accessible during our stay. Also, we had a lot of great food while staying here but the Journeyman Distillery nearby, was everyone’s favorite meal during our stay. They had great Detroit style pizza. We loved our green space getaway and Donna was a wonderful host.

Donna, the host, was awesome to communicate with. Before and during our stay. Very friendly and laid back.
We had perfect weather to spend most of the first afternoon just on the screened in porch and that was very relaxing.
Pulling into the driveway, our initial impression was "man, this place could use some yard clean up." But because the front yard shrubbery was a little over grown and there were a few branches on the garage roof (but we did just have some storms within the week of our stay).
Then entering the home through the screened in porch and getting the homie feels, we quickly got over the initial curb appeal. The home was decorated uniquely and very cool.
Thank you for offer up your home to us!

My husband and I had the most delightful stay in Donna's unique, art-filled home. Each room is filled with pottery, hand-crafted woodwork, original art, colorful tile, and whimsy. We loved finding new treasures each day. The large screen porch became our favorite spot, perfect for reading, bird watching, talking, and just savoring the peace of the surrounding yard and woods.
Donna is delightful. She left us totally alone, only coming over to sit on the porch when we asked her. But once she was there, we three became friends! We shared book titles, solved the world's problems, and then planned the next time we'd come back.
We highly recommend this lovely home to anyone looking for a break from life's fast pace!

Wonderful bachelorette weekend
I stayed with a group of 6 others at Donna Blue's property and it was an overall great experience. She was super communicative with me and left detailed instructions that were very helpful. The home itself is beautiful and comfortable- the perfect place to escape for a few days. We especially enjoyed the screened porch and garden, as well as the extensive art/music collection. The whole group was appreciative of the coffee stocked for us. We had the pleasure of meeting with Donna Blue and experiencing her calm, welcoming spirit. I would highly recommend a stay here and plan on coming back in the future.

An absolute delight!
We had an absolutely amazing time. Donna was a fantastic host, and it was truly a delight to meet her. The location is nice, close to everything you'd want to do but far enough away that your time on the property feels relaxing. The pictures don't capture all of the charm and character of the house.

Delightful
We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Donna's house. The house and grounds have such a great energy and I would heartily encourage those who need to recharge to book this place for a couple of days. We left a lot of our stay unstructured so we could do what we felt like in the moment, and there was never a time when we were bored. There are books, records, a cozy fireplace and plenty of lovely scenery to fill the day. I'm so thankful to have stayed at such a nice place and have nothing but nice things to say about Donna, who is wonderful. We're already planning our next stay here and can't wait to come back!

Great Getaway
What a relaxing week! Donna’s such a gracious host and the property is so quiet and peaceful. Out in the country but only a 15 minute drive to Warren Dunes, close to hiking trails, Fernwood Botanical Garden, and other family attractions. The house is very inviting with everything you could ever need in the kitchen and comfortable beds. We spent a ton of time bird watching and playing cards on the screened-in porch. Just a perfect place to unplug and unwind.

Rural getaway
The screened in porch is the best attribute because you can enjoy the flora and fauna without bugs. The kitchen was well equipped. Close to Red Arrow Highway with plenty of stuff to do if it rains and it’s not a beach day.

What a relaxing trip at Donna’s property. She has a peaceful, calm and in-nature feel to the house. Just put on a jazz record and watch the birds out back to recharge the soul. We’ll be back

Heaven in Michigan
These photos don't do this house justice, my wife and I adored this house. The screened in porch, the hot tub, the backyard, the kitchen, and everything else!!! I loved the kitchen shelves and the quiet outside, compared to the noise of Chicago. We only used the AC for a couple hours as it was close to 90, as there was a nice breeze flowing through all the time. Donna, you have a very amazing, artsy, eclectic and beautiful home, we will definitely stay again.

Serenity
Perfect quiet getaway with lots of nature! We enjoyed sitting in the screened in porch or the back porch swing and watching all the species of birds, squirrels, and bunnies wander around. A beautiful vinyl collection that we thoroughly enjoyed over and over again. We even went into Three Oaks and checked out a couple small art galleries, an immaculate bakery, an ice cream shop, and the Journeyman distillery which has golf in the back!! We enjoyed our wonderful stay and Donna was such a delight! Her house is one of many interesting artifacts that show how much she traveled and how love she was by many she came into contact with over her life. We so look forward to making this cabin a yearly getaway for our group!!

Restorative Getaway
My husband, daughter and I loved this home. . . It was comfortable, beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the fireplace, the hot tub, the beautiful yard, the smell of evergreens and seeing lots of stars at night. It was a perfect weekend getaway from Chicago and we hope to return. Thanks Donna!

Peaceful Retreat
We picked Donna's charming house due to its proximity to a venue where we would be attending a wedding. It was the perfect place to recharge between wedding festivities. So quiet and peaceful. Loved the garden and all the birds coming to feast at the multiple feeders. Our dogs loved exploring the property and meeting Donna, who was such a gracious hostess.

Serene!
My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our time at this beautiful, tranquil home away from home! Donna's Blueberry Fields is truly unique! It is located not too far and not too close to many specialty restaurants, shopping and sight seeing! We look forward to staying in her lovely, clean peaceful home again! Thanks Donna!

Restful stay.
House and property were as described. A lovely property. The house was perfect for two. Lighting for reading needs to be much better. Owner could have provided written information about areas of interest in the surrounding area— hiking, Botanical gardens, restaurants, markets, etc. and more directions for using the TV.

An idyllic escape
My wife and I came across this place quite by accident, but what a happy accident it was. The house is situated in a quiet rural setting that allows you to escape from the frantic pace of the city. The screened in porch is wonderful for sitting quietly with a cup of coffee in the morning or playing games with friends into the evening. The house is lovely and definitely has the feeling that an artist resides there. The property has a nice place for a fire and a short walk down to the river.

An Oasis
The home is lovely and welcoming. The property tranquil and beautiful. So many different kinds of birds we have never seen entertained our eyes. The sounds at night are pure nature at her best
Donna, the property owner, is a beautiful human--authentic, kind, and funny! She leaves you to your stay and the enjoyment of beauty, nature, and peace.
We stayed for a week so were able to also venture about the neighboring towns for bike rides, hikes at Warren Woods State Park, and go into Three Oaks, just a 10 minute drive. Tons of great places to eat and to antique and galleries to peruse!
Enjoyed making fires in the evening outside at the fire pit and just relaxing. Cant wait to visit again!

Three Oaks Oasis!
Our family of four had a terrific time staying at Donna's home during our recent trip to Three Oaks, MI. We truly enjoyed our time at this beautiful place.
Donna is a friendly, warmhearted, and thoughtful host! Her home was clean and had everything we needed to make our visit as comfortable as in our own home. From the moment we arrived, we felt like we were visiting family.
Donna has a great sense of style. Her place is beautifully decorated with comfortable furniture and artifacts from around the world. This place is eye-candy for artists and nature lovers looking for a unique and pleasant experience. We hope to come back soon!

Great quiet getaway!
The house is clean and well kept. Everything we needed was available. The house stays cool and shaded during the day. A quick 7 min. drive to Warren Dunes State Park. We enjoyed listening to the frogs, crickets and birds in the evening. The hostess, Donna, is wonderful! Couldn't have asked for a better trip!

Bachelor Party Weekend
Our group of 9 guys looking for a relaxing and secluded weekend away for a bachelor party had an absolute blast on this property. We wanted to enjoy one another’s company while playing yard games and this yard definitely didn’t disappoint. Pictures don’t do justice to this property, it was larger and more beautiful in person. Donna was a wonderful host who was nearby at all times if we had questions or needed help with anything, and went above and beyond when it came to the check in process and cleanliness preparations for our and other guests safety. The property is very close to sawyer and local breweries and coffee shops, which were exactly what our group was looking for. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a serene weekend away!

Country Fantasy
We loved our time at Donna’s bucolic retreat in this gorgeous section of Michigan. The property is long on charm, wildflowers, and birdsong, and the house is very cozy and well equipped — perfect for relaxing.
We had a great time making elaborate dinners, preceded by drinks on the lawn, and followed by stargazing and hot tub soaks. Our dog had the time of her life!
Bring your bikes and peddle over to Twin Maple Farm for some just-picked fruit.
The town of Three Oaks, just an 18 minute drive, to eat at Froehlich’s and Viola, sip a cocktail at Journeyman Distillery, and catch a show at The Acorn Theatre or a film at Vickers Theater.

Cozy and secluded
The home gives a vibe like you have been here before. The home is unique and warm with amazing decorations. The backyard is absolutely gorgeous and extremely open. Once you sit in the back yard it's only you and the sounds of frogs in the pond. You felt as if you found a little bit of paradise with all the lightingbugs flickering in the moonlight. I highly recommend anyone to come in and stay! The owner is very polite and extremely friendly! :)

Very peaceful to be staying at Blueberry Fields. I'm an artist and loved all the small things to look at! The grounds (and bird's songs were like a meditation. Thank you, Donna for opening up your doors to us!

Pure Michigan
Had a perfect peaceful weekend. Beautiful grounds and Donna is an awesome host. Our dog loved running around the yard chasing Freida and the chipmunks. Within 30 minutes to everything that SW Michigan has to offer. The house is a classic Michigan cottage and Donna has filled it with unique art and collectables from her travel's around the world. Sitting on the porch while listening to the rain fall and watching the Bluebirds flying around is pure heaven. This is Donna's home that she has opened up for all to enjoy and not your typical income focused rental property. It is Pure Michigan and was perfect!

The property is beautiful and well kept up. The house is incredible with a chef’s kitchen!
BLUEBERRY FIELDS is an AMAZING FIND! We just had such a great time there. The house is situated where it's so private and quiet, yet very close to the lake, restaurants and breweries.
We didn't want to leave the land, which is gorgeous. The kitchen is well-stocked and we made great meals, soaked in the hot tub while seeing the sunset, and kept walking around the house looking at the beautiful art all over the house. Last night we made a small bonfire and listened to the birds. We will definitely be back. Thank you Donna Blue!
