I regret to say that I would not recommend staying at this property. Beware! Here are my reasons:
1. **Outdoor Space**:
- The outdoor area is very undesirable. The yard is unmaintained, with high grass and weeds invading the flower beds. The windows and patio area are covered in bugs and droppings. While I understand that living by a lake can make upkeep challenging, this is a rental property and should be clean and usable. Even if you overlook this, the bugs are relentless and will swarm you everywhere. Other reviews mentioned mosquitoes, which I initially disregarded, but they are indeed a serious problem.
- The pictures are misleading. Instead of a view of the lake and mountains, all you see from the house are overgrown bushes.
2. **Bedding**:
- The bedding was unacceptable. They claim the sheets are washed, which might be true, but the comforters are clearly not cleaned, and I have pictures to prove it.
- I contacted Vacasa about the bedding via email and text numerous times, but nothing was done. On the second day of our stay, I was promised new bedding, which never arrived. Throughout our seven-day stay, I never heard from them again.
If you decide to stay here, I wish you better luck than we had. Our fondest memories in the home will be getting eaten in our sleep by mosquitoes.

This property is fantastic!!
The view of the lake and the overall location was perfect for our family!

We stayed here while vacationing at Yellowstone National Park. The cabin is well appointed, comfortable, and in an ideal setting if you prefer a quieter place just a short distance away (15-20 minute drive) from the typical tourist town trappings. The inspiring mountain views are best after a very short walk to the lake shore behind the cabin. This is a great place to relax after long days of touring the national park.

Very large home with peace and quiet and amazing views. Beautifully rustic with modern amenities.

We spend some time in this cabin each winter for the past 4 years. We love the quiet, remoteness, and surrounding beauty.
The home is a wonderful spot to pass some time. The wood burning fireplace, awesome views, large living area/den, great kitchen, and spacious open floor-plan can't be beat.
We enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including snowmobiling, hiking, and visiting Yellowstone in winter.
Plan to visit in summer however the cabin is booked solid for most of summer it seems.
A great hidden gem this cabin truly is, we are very happy that its shared with the public.
Thanks!

Our stay at the cabin was overall great. There was ample space for us to sleep and hang out. It had a basically furinished kitchen which made our stay more comfortable. It's about 15 or 20 minutes out of town so we were able to make full meals. Restaurants and stores were mostly open some were closed for the winter season. Close to the lake. You can see a partial lake view from the great room window. The rest of the lake is covered by vegitation but is a short walk to the water to see. There is a boat slip that comes right to the back yard. Outside fire pit. We enjoyed the fireplace on occassion which added to the atmosphere we were looking for. The cabin is a short drive to the Yellowstone West entrance (15-20 min). We eneded up spending all day at the park and therefore checked in after dark. The cabin was a little hard to find in the dark at first. GPS took us to a different cabin. Follow the roads for Rainbow Point Campground. Just after the actual campground loop C there is a private drive to the right just before the turnaround. That is the driveway, second cabin on the right. The dirt road is a little rough this time of year and it had lots of water filled pot holes. Would stay here again.

We had a blast on our vacation. Perfectly located right out of west Yellowstone. The views from the living room are beautiful, along with the whole house. Very accommodating.

The cabin is beautifully done and has most everything you would need. The views are stunning from the big windows.

Perfect!
The cabin was just as we expected. It was clean, well stocked and modern. The location is by far the best part. It’s about a 15 minute drive from the entrance to the park and food/shops. It’s secluded off a dirt road and surrounded by beautiful mountains, trees and lakes. The WiFi is not very good, but all other amenities are as described. Will hopefully be back again soon!

Very private and quiet.
Only negative is the hot water heater couldn’t not keep up with a family of three.

West Yellowstone
We were excited for a family getaway out to Yellowstone including some skiing at Big Sky. The home was very nice, very clean and easy to get into. Located on Lake Hebgen in a fairly remote location, it was the perfect escape for a week. The downside with the property was the lack of communication with the property managers/owners and the unusable fireplace. A key property feature for us when we were looking was a wood fireplace and unfortunately we could not enjoy the fireplace due to it completely smoking out the house. (We confirmed the flu was open) - I recommended to the property manager that someone should really inspect the chimney prior to renting the property again and there has not been a response yet. We did not receive any responses about use of the fireplace while we were there and tried contacting the property manager multiple times. We still have not heard back and are looking to obtain some kind of partial refund due to this being a key reason we picked this home. If you are planning a summer stay and not worried about the fireplace or communicating with the property folks then it is a great place for sure and only about 20 minutes to the Yellowstone Park entrance!

Beautiful
This was a beautiful home with incredible views. It’s located just outside west Yellowstone, close enough that your still able to enjoy the town but far enough out so you feel like you have your own personal spot. The only downside it the driveway…. Could use a little work. But other then that we truly loved our stay here.

Rainbow Point Sabo Cabin
The house was BEAUTIFUL and very private but unfortunately you do not have a view of that beautiful lake. You must walk 50 yards through a path that opens up on the beach--NO LAKE VIEW from the house except a tiny glimpse when looking at the owners house next door. The house was clean and well maintained and had quality bedding and down comforters. They left pantry items from the previous tenants so that was nice. We had misc. breakfast items, pancake mix, eggs, beer, condiments, spices, jam, peanut butter, marsh mellows and a variety of other shelf stable items so that was very nice surprise. They do not have a Keurig but a SLOW drip coffee pot--bummer--but they did have a couple of small coolers to use. They are 10 minutes from West Yellowstone so super convenient and a very beautiful setting. The bedroom with the two beds is huge and has the private bathroom, the other two bedrooms are very small with no where to put your luggage but on the floor--no dressers. I suggest they buy hotel luggage racks to keep in the closets! I would DEFINATELY stay here again. The closest store is in West Yellowstone so get your provisions there. They did a great job providing everything you would need including laundry soap, shampoo, firewood with starter sticks, matches, extra blankets, blanket throws for the couch, --plenty of everything except luggage racks, a Keurig, and a view of that lake!

Great location, spacious, all amenities needed to have a great stay! Views are amazing when using trails to water edge - but bugs are thick in backyard which limits outdoor time exposure.

Great scenic location.
You will love this place as it is in great shape and a perfect location. Just a short drive from West Yellowstone but far away enough to make you feel like you are in a Great Lake/wilderness setting. We will definitely be back again.

Lovely stay
We enjoyed our stay in this well-appointed home. It fit our group of 6 comfortably, and we enjoyed our trips into nearby Yellowstone Park. We spent a couple of days by the lake, enjoying watching the wildlife (beaver, fish, water fowl), fisherman, and lovely views while the children splashed in the water. It felt like we had the lake to ourselves. Mosquitos were quite thick some days, as we expected. We would most definitely stay here again.

Very clean and comfortable
Plenty of soap, shampoo, trash bags, paper towels, etc. The furniture is high quality. The beds have good mattresses. Previous occupants left lots of coffee, tea, filters, cooking oil, and spices. The views out the windows are beautiful. Very quiet location.

Bones and View are great, furnishings left much to be desired
The view this house has in the living room is great. The location was mostly good--it's quiet and picturesque, but getting in and out of the neighborhood involves a couple of miles of dirt road and potholes. The furnishings in the house left a lot to be desired, though. My mattress was on its last legs, the furniture was ripped, the grill was dirty and full of grease and there was no patio furniture to really enjoy outside. They did provide snacks in the pantry and bear spray, which was great. Overall it was both satisfying and a bit frustrating because there was an opportunity for this to feel like a luxe experience that was missed because of simple details and fixes being overlooked.

Incredible.
This cabin was truly a getaway. It's serene, modern, and beautiful. While there were only two of us staying, there is ample space for a much larger party to stay here - the common areas are wide open, windows cover almost the entire back of the house providing a beautiful lake/Mountain View and the front of the house is completely private. The bedrooms can be total caves when you're wanting to sleep, or you can let tons of natural light inside - it really is a versatile, well-thought-out space with so much to offer. The caretaker of the property lives next door and he's very helpful and friendly. We cannot recommend this place enough.

Winter Snowmobiling trip.
The property is located on the lake... but what you dont see.... is the house is surrounded by sheds and more homes.... all around the property. The cooking supplies were non-existent... coffee pots did not work... we called for a new one and we were informed that the coffee maker would be looked into... never got a call back. The house needs a little T.L.C. walls are beet up and couches are worn out. The cabin has a fireplace...... but bring your own chainsaw... due to no firewood being provided. This house has a amazing listing... which made our expectations high....

Great Experience
Rainbow Point Sabo Cabin was an awesome location, close to town and the entrance to the park but yet private and secluded when you are done for the day. It had all the amenities, all COVID precautions had been taken. We were very comfortable and had a wonderful time. We would definitely visit again.

West Yellowstone Vacay
Our family of 4 (mom, dad, and 2 teenage sons) stayed in this home mid August and had a wonderful time exploring Yellowstone National Park. This home is very comfortable with visually beautiful surroundings. Quite stunning, especially at sunrise and sunset. Although this home is on the lake, you can not see the lake due to the heavy trees and vegetation. This however, does not diminish its beauty. There is a path from backyard that leads to the lake.
This home met all our needs being away from home. It is a very open and spacious floorpan with plenty areas to store all your things. The furniture is very comfortable as well. I cooked plenty meals and found everything I needed. Everything was is great shape except for the carpet in one of the bedrooms (with king bed). Also, make note that they converted the Master bedroom with attached bathroom into a guest bedroom with 2 double beds. Not a big deal but this left my husband and I sharing a smaller bathroom off the hallway with one of our sons who slept in the other guest bedroom. Not a big deal as I mentioned, but a bit awkward.
This home is very conveniently located to Yellowstone National Park and also the town of West Yellowstone (about 15 min). It is a very charming town with lots of cute shops to explore and restaurants to eat at. It also has 2 small grocery stores that we visited often and found what we needed.
My review would not be complete without mentioning the fly and mosquito problem when going outdoors. We chose this house because of the proximity to the lake. Our sons love to fish and we thought it would be most perfect location for them. We envisioned nights out my the lake fishing and sitting by the fire having a glass of wine..........this did not happen :(. We were incredibly disappointed but found a way to make the best of the situation which meant family movie night each night! We could not go outdoors AT ALL without being swarmed by flies and mosquitos (thousands of them)......they literally attacked us even though we saturated our bodies in bug spray. Even unpacking the car after each day was a challenge. At first, we thought we'd power through it but no, it is too uncomfortable. I dismissed the reviews that mentioned mosquitos but I wish I hadn't. Perhaps it was the time of year but locals did say this area is particularly bad.

Great family time on Hebgen Lake
We are boaters and had a wonderful time on Hebgen lake. The Rainbow Point Sabo Cabin was perfect for our family. Everything we needed was provided. This cabin does have a boat doc but we didn't use it due to the shallowness of the water. But the public launch at the Rainbow Point campground is just around the corner so it is very convenient. The cabin is near stagnant water so you have to be prepared for the mosquitos. Once you accept that challenge, you'll have a great time. Once you're out on the lake the mosquitos are no longer an issue.

This property is beautiful!!
We loved everything about this place!! My one suggestion would be to replace the double bed mattresses. They are worn out, and are similar to sleeping on a box spring, or at least purchase some much needed pillow tops. As expensive as this house, top-notch beds are a must.

Lovely Cabin! Right next to the shore of the lake in summertime. Highly recommend going there!

Wonderful, quiet location about 10-15min. Away from W. Yellowstone. Spacious, and clean home!
We really enjoyed our stay. Wished we had a roll of paper towels to get us started and maybe a snow shovel so that we could get to the BBQ. Other than that, it was a very pleasurable stay.

We love winter. West Yellowstone is all about winter. Big time snow here. This cabin literally sits about 6 miles off the highway. It is totally secluded. Peaceful. Beautiful. The only noise at this location was from the ravens. We loved it here. I would honestly like to buy this home. Location is incredible. Views are incredible if you can get lucky enough in the winter for the cloud cover to break. The house had all we needed or wanted. It was very comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the couches looking out the beautiful window taking in the views and watched it snow as well. It was the perfect get away. Thank you!!!
