Immaculate Modern European-Style In-Law Unit. This thoughtfully designed, compact basement space features four windows, a kitchenette, a shower with a Jacuzzi tub, a queen-sized bed, hardwood floors, and elegant Italian tiles. Enjoy a private entry leading to a large tropical yard with an outdoor Jacuzzi and fire pit. Free WiFi with 1 GB Fiber, the fastest available. Although cozy, the space is efficiently organized, making it ideal for visiting scholars or families of UC students. Convenient transportation options include bus, BART, car, and walking. Non-smokers only, please. As a special touch, you'll be welcomed with a bottle of wine and chocolates.

This unit is so creative in its ability to offer everything you need. Our favorite was the microwave with attached toaster. The location is superb with easy walking to surrounding commercial areas. The backyard was amazing- beautifully planted with outdoor seating areas, grill and pizza oven. I wish we had been able to enjoy it more. Our host was the best - informative, helpful and fun to chat with. Overall a great trip.

Greg & Blanca were accommodating hosts, even allowing me to check in early after a long flight from the east coast. They have a beautiful backyard with bamboo, lemon and palm trees. Though I didn't use them the outdoor jacuzzi and grill looked inviting. Inside, the queen bed was comfy, the shower provided ample hot water, and the complementary wine, tea & coffee was a welcome surprise. The location, being a couple blocks from both San Pablo and Solano, was ideal.

We had a terrific time here. The unit is like a superbly appointed little yacht. We had everything we needed and more. Very comfortable bed and chairs, lights everywhere, towels galore and very nice owners. We did not meet Greg but Blanca (who was warm and funny and personable) gave us the complete tour and Greg responded to all texts and emails. Gorgeous back yard. Palm trees, beautiful tile work everywhere. A very nice place to sit at dusk with a glass of wine. Even an elaborate pizza oven. Cheers!

We very much appreciated the cozy apartment that Greg and Blanca provided us. All was very clean and comfortable. The bed was super comfortable! Although we did not use the outside grounds, the outdoor pizza oven and grill truly impressed me! I would have liked to make some dough and pull together some tasty toppings for an authentic brick oven.
Thanks so much for all the hard work it takes to create and maintain such a lovely place.

My husband and I just finished our third visit at Gregory and Bianca's lovely and distinctive space. It is a small space ingeniously and thoughtfully executed with a very comfortable bed, lovely big shower and tub, a small desk and provisions for refrigerating and heating very simple meals. The yard is lovely and the neighborhood safe, attractive and very walkable. It is the perfect spot for us to stay then visiting our grandchildren.

Unit is a small space thoughtfully designed and elegantly decorated. Backyard is landscaped to perfection. Hosts available and could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. Hope to return to this place.

This well-planned apartment was thoughtfully equipped with all we needed for a comfortable and very convenient stay for us during a visit for our daughter's graduation. We were able to walk nearly everywhere, many amazing restaurants in this area! (Good thing we were walking.)
Our hosts were very friendly and always ready to answer any questions. A busy week for us with family in from far and wide so not much time to visit but very nice folks. Would stay here again !

The property is charmingly set up, but it is cozy. Enough room with seating benches, desk, arm chair. There is a kitchenette and a big shower area. Pretty much a full sized fridge and freezer. One of the big attractions, though, is the spacious backyard with the grill, pizza oven, and hot tub. The other big attraction is the kindness of the hosts. Greg communicated quickly and was very welcoming and attentive. He was out of town for our stay but his daughter was there to show us the unit and was super friendly. Loved our stay here and would happily return. Excellent proximity to UC Berkeley. Safe, residential neighborhood with open street parking.

My husband and my stay in Albany at Blanca and Greg’s property was lovely. They are terrific hosts, with a clean, beautiful, well kept property. They were gracious and welcoming, even inviting us to join them one evening for a backyard party featuring their outdoor pizza oven. While it is a small unit, we were comfortable. And it is so conveniently located, you’ll walk everywhere. Would recommend!

Reading the reviews had me cautiously excited about renting the place and let me tell you once I arrived it did not disappoint! First let me say, Greg and Blanca, thank you for opening your home to us. Blanca met us upon our arrival and she was so welcoming just like meeting s old friend. When we entered the yard I felt like I was transported to little Italy they really took care in the design. The quarters were cozy and had everything you could possibly need. We truly enjoyed our stay and how close we were to the vicinity of our daughters apartment in Berkeley -just 5 minutes away. I look forward to our return and hopefully your home will be available for our stay! ☺️

A lovely stay.Bianca and her husband were lovely, friendly, and helpful .the garden outside was gorgeous s little oasis. The apartment awash clean and comfortable, beautifully decorated. The kitchenette was so useful to have. Overall a wonderful stay.

Basement stay in Albany.
Very clean, comfortable bed, it is against the wall, if two are staying. Which makes getting in and out of the bed a bit of a challenge. Well stocked with paper products,, and towels. We did not cook or use the backyard but it is beautiful. A bit of a problem communicating on the site with Cell phone reception. Not sure what would make that easier. In a basement but very quiet.

Great little space!
The space is great! Very modern and cute with plenty of room to hang out and sleep. Only issue was figuring out how to get in, but we had a super late flight so it was dark dark. Host had offered to meet us to show us the property so not fault. Oh and parking is almost non existent! Plan to come in a little early to get a space.

This property served my husband and I very well. It was just the perfect spot to stay cozy during our stay. The property was very clean and well equipped!! Greg and Blanca have done a very nice job with the place. Thank you Greg and Blanca for the nice card, cakes, and wine that greeted us upon arrival.

Better Than Anticipated
Gregory and Blanca were great hosts with an amazing little getaway spot. The neighborhood was quiet and parking was fairly easy. There are plenty of awesome nearby food and shopping options. Greg was great with answering any questions we had during our stay and gave us the privacy that we wanted for our anniversary trip. The jetted tub was a great plus, and the sleep number bed was an unexpected bonus. It was a great trip across the board.

It’s a perfect place for one person or for a very close couple
You’re in a basement so expect to hear some footsteps upstairs. That’s the worst thing you can say about this place. Do you have a hot tub outback and a Jacuzzi tub in your room. The ceiling inside the apartment is not low so it works for a tall person. Everything electronic is either Dyson or Apple. Everything works. There is cooking stuff and dishes if you need them. This is a compact but efficient space. It is a very short walk to some Paulo

A charming studio, perfect for one or a couple. Well equipped with high end, aesthetically pleasing stylish decor, the unit has a perfect bed, fridge, kitchen devices. On a quiet street, you will have a good sleep. Pretty garden too.

Sweet Spot in a Great Spot
This property is a great version of what it tells you it is: it is a very compact and thoughtfully laid out place for one or two. The craftsmanship and details are lovely and the essentials are there. The yard and Hot Tub are a great bonus as is the complimentary bottle of wine which was very nice. We will be back!

This in-law apartment is perfect for one person or a couple who are particularly close. The small space is decorated with a Bohemian vibe but don’t let the word “small” deter you. Every inch is perfectly planned for the most efficient use of space. Every amenity is available, including a Sonos sound system, media system with streaming options, sleep number style bed that was incredibly comfortable, and a kitchenette with microwave, Foreman grill and Keurig.
Besides the bed, the biggest perk is the oasis of a backyard. It is lush, private, shaded and fully equipped with an outdoor kitchen. Simba, the local feline, met me with a purr while I enjoyed sipping my coffee on the patio in the morning.
The parking is on street and I didn’t have any problem finding a space close by. The neighborhood is very diverse, safe and comes with a grocery store and coffee spot close by. The location made it an easy 30 minutes into SF during off hours and a quick 10 minutes to my Dad’s off of Richmond Parkway. Great people to work with, quick response to any questions.

Work Trip
I stayed in Gregory and Blanca's in law unit for a week and it was wonderful! I was in California for work and unfortunately since I work crazy hours was not able to enjoy the hot tub or beautiful oasis of a back yard. The unit was cozy, plenty of room for one person, had a comfortable bed, a keurig and coffee/tea and a good size refrigerator which is important so I have meals ready for work! I returned home at all hours and I always felt safe in the neighborhood. Greg and Blanca greeted me in person to ensure I had everything I needed and showed me how to use everything in their back yard. They even offered to buy me a new iphone cord when I lost mine (it was at work). Very nice hosts, cozy and comfortable unit and safe neighborhood with easy access to the east bay and SF! I had a car and always found street parking close to the house. Would definitely stay again when im back for work!

Whether you're traveling for work or play, cooking in or dining out, this place has everything you need, in a cozy but cleverly designed space.I'll try to cover some more niche things the other reviews left out...The Neighborhood - I felt perfectly safe parking my Tesla on the street, and I never had trouble finding parking within a few houses of the AirBnB.The "office" - Decent chair. No back issues after sitting in it most of the day. I could fit 2 monitors and a keyboard on the desk. Wifi was fast and consistent while I was there.The "kitchen" - I actually cooked most of my meals for the 2 weeks I was here. A true gem! The best hide-away suite I’ve ever found.
Greg and Blanca are lovely hosts. The space was perfect for me - small but had everything I could possibly need for an almost weeklong work stay. The accommodations were beautiful - clearly Greg and Blanca have great taste and are skilled craftspeople to have envisioned and created such a lovely suite.
