About this house rental
Dramatic sustainable house designed for relaxed holiday living by Mapleton local Philip Boorman who has many awards for his outstanding Architectural work and modern furniture designs.
Located on the escarpment in the centre of the 125 acre site. This privileged isolation has allowed the house design to be opened to the volume of the surrounding private space by the extensive use of timber framed bi-fold doors and windows. Solar panels generate the power supply and roof water is collected in tanks for filtered reuse within the home.
When John Seccombe obtained the land by way of the selection process in 1904 the original survey plan of the day noted that "All the country here on shown is of an Extremely Rugged and Broken nature." This rugged landscape has protected the area from the encroachment by subdivisions for over 100 years, providing flora and fauna with largely undisturbed area for species listed as endangered, such as the Coxen Fig-Parrot and the Regent Honey eater\'s to thrive.
Location
Boorman Eco is located 3 mins to the mountain village of Mapleton and:
10 mins to the vibrant village of Montville
30 mins to the world famous Eumundi Markets and Coolum Beach

Great location, no noise other than the sound of birds. Michael great host, house had everything we needed. Plenty of space for our dog to run - she didn't want to chase another ball by the end of our stay!
Can't wait to get back again.

Absolutely stunning place. We came with our dog and she had a fantastic time. The pictures don't do the place justice and Michael was lovely, making sure we found the place and didn't get lost!

A very well presented and clean property with a beautiful view over the valley and hills. So great that we could bring our little dogs. Beds very comfortable with nice linen.

We came with our puppy Fido for our 10th wedding anniversary. We needed a total break from the real world and that was exactly what we recieved. Our friendly host Michael gave us a personal escort to this wonderful hideaway in the forest. The home, amneanities and cleanliness was outstanding, right down to the pre chopped firewood for the fire. It rained for the whole of our stay but we did not care, the low cloads and mist on the mountains views are spectacular. Thank you for allowing us to share a little piece of heaven. We will return if our host will have us again.
Gabby, Brendon & Fido the wonder dog.

Our third visit did not disappoint. While actually quite close to Mapleton, it feels very secluded. Beautiful views and birdlife. Michael, the host, was very helpful when trying to sort out some logisitcs.

In one line I would say the best location and property.

We really enjoyed the spaciousness of the property. If anything, the photos undersold just how beautiful and well designed it is. We enjoyed the incredible bath tub and all enjoyed our weekend in the ambience and peace of the locality. We will be coming here again and will recommend it to friends. The property manager was very punctual and easy to talk to. Thank you very much for hosting us.

It's not just that the property does not have internet - that was known - it's that there is really no internet with 1/2 hour access for much of the day.

We have stayed at this property before and have always wanted to return but it's usually booked out with good reason! Finally we were able to book a three night stay :) Beautiful clean house, incredible views from every window, especially the main bedroom at night the stars are amazing. Comfy bed, great shower, kitchen has all the things you need. The fireplace is fabulous to have on in the evening. Our three little dogs love all the space to roam. Switch off your phone and unwind to the sounds of the bush and birds. Thank you so much to the very friendly host for everything! We cannot wait to return for our third stay.

The house has three single and one double bed, very open plan living, very neat and tidy. Kitchen with everything but a dishwasher and there's even a fireplace. It is an amazingly cared for acreage with the most serene and scenic views. Just beware that with some providers you might not have reception nor internet.

A beautiful place for a relaxing weekend getaway. We had a lovely stay and enjoyed the tranquillity of the mountains. The house was nicely laid out and built to enjoy the views. There was plenty to do in the area, and the local town had lots of lovely dining options. Our dog also enjoyed exploring in nature. The host was friendly and accommodating. Thank you Michael for a wonderful weekend away.

As soon as you arrive the stress just melts away. Perfect place to regroup. You don’t need to bring anything but food and drinks. Loved it we will be back.

If you want tranquility this is the one. Just left alone to look out over acres of beautiful mountains and bush land. Highly recommended

Our second time back and we’ll be back again! A little pocket of paradise. Highly recommend! Good for the soul!!

We were a bit surprised about the long steep driveway on arrival, but in a good way. It is a long way into the bush and you are completely alone and away from the world, but only a short drive to the Mapleton Pub for dinner and supplies. The beds were comfortable, and the fire was lovely. One minor thing - not enough seating in the lounge room making conversation amongst friends awkward without pulling over kitchen or outdoor chairs. A second comfy couch would make it perfect.
