About this house rental
Welcome to Port Royal Landing! We're so glad you've decided to explore the Low Country and stay with us. Beaufort/Port Royal has so much to offer. Our completely renovated cottage is the perfect spot for you to come to relax and explore everything the Low Country has waiting for you. In the mornings, watch for the most amazing sunrises over the water as the sun peeks over the horizon directly outside the back of the house. In the evenings, sit back on the deck or sun porch and enjoy the breeze. Watch the vast marsh life at all times of day right from the back deck - various birds, including ibis, herons, egrets and pelicans; dolphins hunting and swimming; and even the occasional alligator slowly gliding through the marsh grass. Turn your cell phone off and let all the stresses of your day to day just melt away. The house is comfortably suited with enough room for 3 couples or a family. Enjoy spacious and open rooms that are well appointed with everything to make your stay enjoyable. We've fully stocked the house, complete with a well-stocked kitchen where even the family chef will feel right at home. Extended rental and snowbird special 25% off.
Port Royal Landing is a wonderful little neighborhood filled with wonderful people. You may just come back year after year to see your new friends. A marina, shop and newly renovated restaurant and bar (Fall 2019) are just a few steps away. Bring your boat to Port Royal Landing marina where weekly/monthly slips are available at a very reasonable price and you'll never have to step into your car the whole time you're here. This really is a fisherman's and sailor's paradise. By water, downtown Beaufort and the city dock is only a few minutes north and downtown Port Royal is a few minutes south. Hilton Head is just beyond with Charleston and Savannah all an easy days’ sail.
If you'd rather spend the day lounging on a secluded beach or walking the sand looking for shells and driftwood, Hunting Island Park is just a short drive away. The hiking here is like no other as you wander through the many trails that feel like you are in a tropical, prehistoric fairyland. We've provided a year round pass for your use which gives access to the park free of charge (one carload). Downtown Beaufort and Port Royal have everything you could want if you do decide to venture off the water. Find phenomenal food, drinks, shopping, and lazy park swings at the waterfront. The surrounding area is kid-friendly with a number of parks just a few minutes’ drive. Entrances to the Spanish Moss Trail are only a few minutes from the house as well. And not to be missed is the Port Royal Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings (9am-12noon) where you can find a fantastic assortment of fresh, seasonal produce along with local coffee, sweet tea, baked goods, fresh pasta and so much more!
The entire Beaufort/Port Royal area is rich in history having been influenced first by the Spaniards, then the French and finally the English. There also is no other comparable place to see the unique Gullah culture, both in craft and food (www.bonappetit.com/story/bj-dennis-gullah-geechee). Visit www.beaufortsc.org/guides/history for more information. Historic Bluffton is also a great quick trip with history, shopping and great food.
If you're visiting for a military graduation, welcome and congratulations! The gate for Parris Island is a short 8 minute drive from the house. The patriotism of the area is apparent and nothing gets our attention more than the sound and rush as fighter jets thunder overhead on a regular basis. We're a military family and are grateful for you and your loved one's service. Ask about a military discount.
Pilots can fly into Frogmore International (KARW) just across the water. Ask and we'll be happy to help make arrangements for a car and tiedown service at the FBO.
Sorry no smoking. No motorcycles, trailers, or boats in the driveway due to neighborhood covenants. We're happy to help arrange parking in the marina parking lot.

We loved our first day and last day in Beaufort and Port Royal. We had a great house that had a wonderful porch where we crafted and played games and watched the Olympics. The rest of the days were rain, rain, and more rain. Thank you hurricane Debby. The parks were closed as well as many shops due to flooding, but we made the best of it. Time together with sisters was priceless. Our host, Josh, was great. He was always quick to respond to any questions I had. The property was very good and our rainy time there was no fault of any one except Mother Nature! We will come back and try again. We know there was lots more to do than what we were able to do.

This house was perfect. The views were beautiful. The house is super nice, spacious, and very well designed. There was plenty of room for us. The location is perfect. It’s close to Beaufort, downtown Port Royal, and it’s a nice drive out to the islands. The access to the marina next door is easy. If you are bringing your boat, this house plus the marina is a great combination. We can’t wait to book this location again!!!

Very nice, convenient to Marine Corp base.

We had a wonderful time! The view is amazing, and the sunrises are worth getting up early to see.
The cottage is near downtown Beaufort, Port Royal, and Dataw Island where we keep our boat year round. However, we kept our boat at the marina during our stay. The marina staff were very easy to work with. It was nice to be able to walk down to the boat while we’re were staying at the cottage. Thanks Joshua and Stephanie!

Our trip to visit family in the Beaufort/Port Royal area was wonderful. Our stay was made even better by the view and the accommodations at the waterfront cottage .

Celebrated our friend Cheryl's 60th birthday. Loved the house, the area, the farmer's market and Hunting Island State park. Great restaurants and fun shops. Very well appointed home. Will visit again.

This was our first time visiting the South Carolina coast rather than going all the way to Florida. We highly recommend it if you like to get awary from the touristy areas and enjoy the southern hospitality. We really enjoyed the small town atmosphere with plenty of activities available.

Josh's lovely 3 bedroom house is on a quiet street in a small neighborhood. The neighborhood abuts a busy street but there is no noise from the road except a bit from the nearby bridge during rush hour. the entire house is newly renovated and furnished with upper tier furniture that is not stained or broken and is very comfortable. All the kitchen utensils were clean which is always important to me as I am a retired med tech. The beds are super comfortable and the linens are high quality, not the scratchy burlap Walmart linens. Large master bedroom and bath that open onto the enclosed porch which opens on to open air porch. The view is of the marina and the intracoastal. What more could you want? It is as close to perfect as we have seen in the area and they allow well mannered dogs. My only minor issue was that the kitchen implements could be sorted and eliminate about half of the stuff. Large number of miscellaneous glasses that fill up cabinets and have been collected over the years. The cabinets were too full to put away our food so we left it on the kitchen table and ate elsewhere. Just a minor inconvenience. We will be back next year!

What a beautiful place to gather family members together from Maine to Oregon for our granddaughter’s graduation from boot camp.
May I suggest a coffee mug tree out by the coffee station. We played games and caught up on family time as we watched the boats and dolphins in the water way right at the back of the property.
I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Perfect for our family vacation. The house is located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, but with easy access to dinning, shopping, and various entertainment venues. It's very well stocked with the essentials and then some, making it feel like home away from home. The views were incredible. We loved our stay in Port Royal!

The Port Royal property, with a beautiful view of the water and marina was relaxing and had all we needed for our stay. Able to take a quiet walk/run in the morning. It was a perfect place to visit the local historic area, plus a short travel to Hilton Head and Charleston. Couldn't have asked for more!

Perfectly located cottage neighborhood surrounded by moss draped live oaks with stunning sunrises over the river and marshes. The beds are indescribably comfortable so don’t sleep in and miss them!

The house was very comfortable and situated very close to both Port Royal and Beaufort. Being on the water was so relaxing. The neighborhood is tucked away and private. The neighbors are super friendly. Actually everywhere we went we were greeted by friendly folks. Josh got back to me right away and talked me through using the dang remote at one point. User error but he was very calm and accommodating and everything worked out well. All in all a great experience!

This was our first trip to South Carolina and we could not have chosen a better home. We were impressed by the beauty of the neighborhood and the beauty and convenience of the home. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. The location is convenient to everything in the surrounding areas. We are so thankful we were able to stay here and we look forward to our next visit. Thank you!

Our family had a wonderful week at this property. The house is exactly as it appears online. The porches are so nice and give lots of options to have different groups of people to use. We had a toddler with us and he loved the porch areas, especially the little lizards on the outdoor porch!
The kitchen is great for cooking and had anything you may need. Would definitely stay again. A very relaxing week in a beautiful area!

This property was a great fit for our stay during my sons Bootcamp Graduation. We had a family of six in the house and we all fit comfortably. It was beautiful decorated, clean and had a beautiful view of the water. It was nice to sit in the sun room in the morning, drink coffee and watch the sun rise.
The location was very convenient, close by the base only about 13-15 minutes away. Also close to downtown Beaufort.
We had a wonderful stay!

The house has been beautifully renovated - lovely kitchen and bathrooms. Being on the wetlands was wonderful - we spotted many dolphins, egrets, even an alligator swimming along the shore!

We stayed for two weeks in this charming paradise. The house was immaculate, inviting, and provided every need. The neighborhood has a small circle where we walked our dog — I could not stop looking up at the beauty of the trees as well as enjoying the gorgeous yards of the neighborhood. Everything you need is in close proximity, just a few min drive. My husband would take his morning run on an easy path to Beaufort and back. I only wish we had discovered the marina restaurant earlier in our stay. The absolute BEST part was our view of the water from the deck, sun porch, den, and main bedroom. From sunrise to sunset we watched birds, dolphins, tides changing, sailboats, and just enjoyed the peaceful breeze.

Watching sunrise over the river was amazing! With this home, you have the option of watching from the deck or from the enclosed porch. Or you can watch while eating breakfast on the porch!
We felt comfortable as soon as we arrived. The house was clean, tidy and well-equipped. Although I brought my reading material with me, I was interested in the variety of books on the shelves.
Port Royal Landing is a quiet neighborhood with friendly residents. We enjoyed many walks while we were there. And it’s convenient to supermarkets and restaurants.
Joshua & Stephanie provided detailed check-in info and were cordial and responsive to inquiries.
Looking forward to visiting again!

We spent the month of February in this waterfront cottage, mostly on the heated, enclosed back porch surrounded by beautiful views of the marina, marsh, and boats floating by. The cottage is set up for comfort with cozy, overstuffed indoor furniture, a padded sectional on the porch, and sleep-worthy beds in every room. The kitchen is well-appointed with sufficient pots and pans for cooking any number of dishes (we did bouillabaisse, roast chicken, shrimp, monkfish, sea trout, oysters, scallops and more; try Seafood Express for fresh seafood, on Ribaut just around the corner from the house). The wine refrigerator on the porch is great for storing bottles to keep room in the kitchen refrigerator for food. AND this is the first VRBO I've been to with such fabulous wine glasses--white, red, and champagne! We had unusually good weather for February and so spent most of our time outside exploring, but on the couple of days of non-stop rain we were able to entertain ourselves with the Roku TV on the porch and the living room TV set up for signing into all your own streaming accounts. Very handy.
Our one minor suggestion would be to have a coffee table or ottoman in the living room. It would add to an already comfortable room.
We would definitely consider renting this home again. And you should, too!

Our stay at Port Royal Landing is one of the best places we have every vacationed. Although we were there for our son's Parris Island Graduation, it felt like a true vacation. The property was impeccable, the views were awesome, and the overall process was just flawless. Thank you for a Great Experience !!!!

This beautiful home gave our group everything we were looking for and more. All the bedrooms were equally luxurious with their own view of the waterway. We loved sitting out on the sunporch, and the deck captured the warmest rays of the November sun. We loved sitting out there watching the birds, and even spotted an alligator. This will be our top choice for our next visit.

In one word this house is amazing! Everything was immaculate and believe me I’m picky about that when staying somewhere on vacation! The kitchen was the most well stocked of any home we have visited on vacation. The downstairs bed was so comfortable and the shower was so nice. The view off the back deck was beautiful, from the gorgeous sunrises to watching storms roll in. If you are in the Beaufort area this is the house to stay in.

Everything about this property was great. The home was beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. If we had any suggestions for improvement (which would be limited) it might be for more comfortable seating on the beautiful glass porch overlooking the water & marina. Would recommend to all.

This is the second time our family has stayed at this rental and we love it. The house is always clean and decorated so cute. It is a great location and I love having coffee in the morning and our glass of wine in the evening on the back porch.

We really enjoying this house and especially how convenient it was to the beaches, Port Royal, downtown Beaufort, restaurants and fun activities. It was perfect for us. We had our fishing boat pick us up right at the local marina, just a short walk from the property. Love this house and we will definitely rent it again.
