Tight lines is a gorgeous property. The location is perfect. It’s right next to the central square. The porch is wonderful and the wood everywhere is lovely. It’s very comfortable, functional and nice. It is also located next to the basketball court and work out facilities which our teenage boys used extensively.

The tv in the living room is too small and isn’t a smart tv. After a long day at the beach and seaside town center, we wanted to watch a family movie together. The tv is very small and we couldn’t use our streaming account.
The location is fantastic & loved the house!

My family (husband and 7 YO son) and I stayed for a week at the Tight Lines cottage in November. It was the best vacation.
Things we loved: walkability and closeness to beach, pool, shops and food; biking everywhere; community pools are amazing; food trucks made for a great dining experience; access to private beaches. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed. We mostly enjoyed our meals out but had a couple of dinners and found we had enough kitchen supplies. There was enough room for our family of 3. The bunkroom is downstairs separate from the primary bedroom in the loft.
Things we recommend: I added a bike rental from bumblebee rentals for my son. Delivery was great and we used the bikes everyday! Check out the pools and community activities. The facilities are beautifully maintained and worth the extra money to have access. Try all the food trucks! We would grab food and then eat on the beach. Try to get lost on the walk paths. Check out paddleboarding at watercolor. Just a quick bike ride away.
This was our first time in the area and we would highly recommend the area and this cottage rental.

Loved the location. The mattresses and pillow need to be replaced. And needs new bikes. But overall would stay here again if just 4 people. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and beach

Summer Vacation 2022
Our family of four had such a great time staying at “Tight Lines”. Very clean, comfortable and the location was so close to all the action. We have stayed at several different properties in Seaside over the years and this was definitely one of our favorites.

Was an okay property.
House was kind of snug for four people and is really starting to show some wear. Overall it was okay - not great but very workable.

Perfect spot and cozy!
We loved the location and charm of this place. All the essentials (other than a pack-and-play) were there. Great place to stay if you have a small group. I'd stay here again.

OK place. Falls short of expectations
The size of the property was adequate for our family which consist of two elementary age kids. The property reminded me of college living. Floors were dirty on arrival, furniture and beds wore out, pots and pans from a thrift store that should just be thrown away. The dryer would not dry clothes. All that said we made the best of it and made good memories with our children. I just expected more for the investment made. If the owners would just make a little investment in the property they could greatly improve a person's stay. We will definitely stay in this community if we ever go back but will seek a different property to rent.

We love the location! Close to everything!!!
We loved our stay! We weren’t at the house much but the location is so nice and close! There is a shower in the bunk room which was a little strange. My biggest complaint was the rude neighbors and the 8 pm curfew for my teens. Overall the house fit our needs and I would stay again!!!

This house was perfect for us and so convenient to everywhere we wanted to go for the 30A SWF.
I always love staying in Seaside. This house was just the right price and location for us for our long weekend. Had a great experience with the maintenance we needed while there.

Great location, near everything.
This was a nice vacation property to rent. They layout is a little strange, but almost every rental I've been in, in this area, kind of has that same vibe. I almost think it's done that way on purpose. The kitchen was a little small, if you like to prepare fancy meals, but the outside space was really nice. The one parking space was at the door, and easy to get in and out of. You can walk easily to the beach or the shopping area. I found the need for beach ID bracelets a little weird. Not sure when that started in Florida. Overall, we were satisfied. The price was sure right.

Cute little cottage with quirks
Cute little cottage with quirks.
I think it is important to note that there are no bedroom doors (upstairs, loft, or downstairs) and that the downstairs shower is IN the bedroom....directly across from the bunks.
The location was nice and there was parking right by the house.

Terrific location. Short walk to everything
The carriage house is cute and laid out well for the size. We had three teens and did not have issues. My only comment would be to replace living room furniture with a sectional and the TV on the wall. This would give more comfortable seating for 5 guests. Otherwise, the loft was nice extra room. I would also suggest putting a shower curtain the the bedroom downstairs. And a door for privacy.

I came to Tight Lines with my 3 sisters. Had a wonderful stay. You can’t beat the location.
Overall very good house. The mattresses and pillows could have been nicer but it would not deter me from coming back.

Fantastic location, house could use some love
Amazing location to walk anywhere in seaside or watercolor. House is adequate, but furniture is quite beat up and could use some repairing or replacing. The location of the extra shower downstairs in what seems to be a closet is also strange and would likely cause humidity issues in a hotter month. Despite these shortcomings, you absolutely cannot beat the location though.

We love Seaside
Tight Lines is small but how much time do you spend inside when you are at the beach. It was clean and met all our needs except one. It lacks in bowls. It has many pots and pans but few bowls so bring your own. I know that is petty but that was the only negative.
We love Seaside, 3rd visit, and when we return we will consider Tight Lines again.

Its the little things
Its a small, clean property and perfect for two people. The wifi didn't work and although maintenance came out and promised a fix, it was not fixed after 4 days of our stay.
Its the little things that don't cost much that could bump this rating up. There is nothing but coffee in the house when you arrive. Nice to provide coffee, but there were no coffee filters! Also there is a hefty cleaning charge, but its required that guests clean the cottage before we leave or be charged. Finally, I think the bed blankets need to be washed or changed out.

Dirty And Horrible Wifi
The location of the house was great (close to town, beach, pools, and fitness center) but the cleanliness of the property was horrible. The floors inside the house were so sandy that it was clear they had not been clean. Dishes in the kitchen were left dirty also. Many things were broken in the house. For example: One of the table chairs and the radio. It says free wifi for the house but plan on using your data plan. Everything loads so so so slow on the wifi or won’t load at all.

June 2017 Stay
Tight Lines is a GREAT value! The location was perfect and the cottage was extremely clean. When we come to Seaside, we don't necessarily need to have a luxurious place. I will say that the bunks might be better suited for smaller kids--I have two "full-sized" teenagers, but they were still comfortable. Also, kind of odd that shower was in the bunk bedroom, not in the bathroom. But, when you are at Seaside, who cares!? It was a cute cottage and we loved the porch.

April 2017 Stay
Our stay at Tight Lines helped to make our Easter trip to Seaside perfect. We are a family of 5 and the house fit us comfortably. The central location was ideal! We also loved the amenities that were part of our reservation. We will definitely choose to stay here again for future trips.

September 2016 Stay
We absolutely loved our stay in tight lines! Sure, it's a bit of a quirky layout and it's not the newest house in seaside but it has been updated nicely and let's be honest, you don't go to the beach to stay inside! It was clean and quiet. We had a leaky ceiling one day but sandpiper quickly responded to the issue. We loved renting from them. The only thing I would suggest - if you need to connect to the Internet while staying there, I would bring your own hot spot or something because even though it says it has wi-fi and you can easily connect to it, the signal strength is so bad that we never actually got it to work. Overall, I would highly recommend this property and we will hopefully be back soon! Thank you for the best vacation we've had as a family of 3!

July 2016 Stay
Lovely! Everything was lovely! The cottage was adorable with plenty of room, and the location was great because it was close to the town center. The weather was perfect with 90 temps and a nice breeze. No jellyfish or seaweed made for a fantastic time in the water!

Needs some work
Tight lines is an appropriate name for this property. We stayed here for 9 days; 2 adults, 2 high school age kids and a 3 year old. It was tight. There really isn't anywhere for a group to sit in this house. The living room consisted of a loveseat, a wicker chair and another chair that had broken legs (which made it unusable). The washer and dryer is a stackable unit...the washer works fine, but the dryer is pretty much shot. It took over 2 hours to dry one beach towel. I spent A LOT of time juggling laundry to ensure we had clean beach and shower towels. Not something you want to necessarily mess with while on vacation. The TVs in the house are really small as well. The living room could easily hold a bigger one if the tiny TV cabinet was removed and the TV wall mounted. The upstairs master bedroom has a window that overlooks the living room, but no curtains. The loft room can see directly into the master bedroom through this window. Also there is not a door to the master bedroom...it is open to the hallway that leads to the upstairs bathroom and the lofted "bedroom". KInd of awkward/odd. The ironing board was also broke. Oddly enough, there wasn't a broom to be found at the property...and being near a beach, sand naturally gets inside. Would have been nice to be able to clean up a little bit. Lastly, the internet service at this property was really, really bad during our entire stay. Tight Lines is a companion property to Going Coastal, and its internet is supplied via a wifi range extender based off the Going Coastal wifi. Problem is, if Going Coastal's internet isn't working, neither is Tight Lines'. The wireless internet at this property was down/offline way more than it was up and running. When it was up, the signal was very, very poor. It made it pretty much impossible to get online and take care of any work matters that I needed to deal with. Pretty frustrating.
All in all, if the house had some updates made to it, it would be a great little cottage. As it is, it is just "OK". We probably wouldn't seek to rent this particular property again; we come to Seaside every August.
I will say that the Sandpiper maintenance people were very nice and quick to respond. No complaints there, this property just needs some TLC and overall updates and it would be much nicer.

Great place to stay! Very convenient to pools, beach, and seaside square
I love this place!! The house is great. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of room. My kids rode bikes all over town and had a great time. Everything is perfect...if I was asked to give any improvements they would be to install blinds on door to deck, a door or curtain on the door of upstairs bedroom, and a curtain on window overlooking downstairs in upstairs bedroom. Other than those minute items we absolutely loved this place!! Would love to come back.

Disappointed
This house is in need of repair. The trundle bed was broken and the bedding was gross when we arrived. Housekeeping brought clean linens for bed. The rug in kitchen looks awful and stained. The downstairs bathroom is tiny- almost claustrophobic.
We had planned on cooking dinner most nights- no way in that kitchen. Too small.
We were a family of five and that's about three people too many for this house.

Great Location Makes Average Digs Tolerable
My best friend and I stayed at Tight Lines in May and had a wonderful time. When you walk out the front door, you can see Seaside's bike shop in the square - it's that close…yet in a wooded, quiet spot. The screened-in porch was nice. The house is dated and modestly decorated, though I can tell the beds are fairly new. It's definitely not luxurious, but it's fine…if you're planning to spend your time outside. Be prepared for the rental company to send inspectors out, so don't be freaked out. We had 2 visits. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit. If you go, do yourself a favor and have a sunset dinner at Fish Out of Water or Vue on their waterfront dining decks.

wonderful weekend in Seaside
We stayed at Tight Lines over a three day weekend for my brother's wedding. The cottage is adorable - clean, spacious, very well appointed. One of the reasons i chose Tight Lines was that my grandmother was traveling with us and needed a bedroom and bath on the first level.

30A Songwriters Fest
We three music lovers enjoyed our stay at Tight Lines during the 2014 30A Songwriters Music Festival. The cottage is perfectly located in the heart of Seaside, so that we were able to walk or bike to most venues, and take the shuttle to others. The cottage was cozy and comfortable, just as it looked in the photos online. The rental agency staff was very patient and helpful when I couldn't figure out the lock box or locate the extra towels, and the greeters were delightful in welcoming us to the property. I would stay here again - in fact, it was hard to leave! The only downside was the tight parking situation, but that is just a general Seaside thing.
