About this house rental

The two story Truman Annex Porter House is the largest of our Key West properties and features 4 bedrooms and a private pool. Upstairs has 3 bedrooms and two full bathrooms plus two balconies and a laundry room. Downstairs features a 4th bedroom with custom made all wood queen Murphy bed that includes a high quality pillow top mattress & large flat panel TV plus writing desk and another full bathroom, dining room, full equipped kitchen, living room, front porch, back patio, AND your own backyard PRIVATE POOL! This house has plenty of room to accommodate up to eight guests. Amenities include 5 TV's, DVD, music player with music library, Amazon Echo (ask Alexa to play your favorite music), and complimentary secured internet service. Rented to those who want the best we have to offer...plus a private pool!

Except for festivals such as Fantasy Fest, Meeting of the Minds, and Powerboat Races, we generally require Saturday-Saturday rentals so if your dates are not Saturday-Saturday please email us with your dates prior to booking so that we can check our calendar to see if an exception is possible.

Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home in the Truman Annex. My husband & I were celebrating our 20th anniversary. We honeymooned in Key West & always said, “if we ever go back, we’re staying in the Truman Annex.” We brought my Mother-in-law, Sister-in-Law & her husband. There was plenty of room for all of us. The Murphy bed on the main floor was great for mom. We slept in the King en-suite & housekeeping converted the 2nd bedroom to a King for my Sister-in-law. She basically took over the whole front of the house on the second floor creating her own en-suite with a King bed, full bath (2 steps from the bedroom) & used the 3rd bedroom as a dressing room. LOL The living room & breakfast room area has updated furniture that is not shown in the photos on VRBO. A very large sectional sofa, breakfast table & bar stools at the kitchen bar. 3 coffee makers(Keurig & 2 regular automatic drip), a large 4 slice toaster, blender, loads of cabinets & dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils & silverware. French door refrigerator with 2 freezers is huge & has ample space for food & a case or two of water. Hair dryers were in the bathrooms. Washer/Dryer on the 2nd floor with plenty of bath towels, wash cloths, hand towels, bath rugs & pool towels. Do yourself a favor & buy Pedialyte for adults if you are staying during the hot summer months to avoid dehydration & a trip to the ER or one of the iv stations. It has more electrolytes than sports drinks & water is not enough.

The property was great. The only thing that was disappointing was that the pool heater was not functioning. So needless to say, we were not able to use the pool on the property. They had a community pool which we did use but it was for the residents, and we felt a bit out of place. The condo itself was perfect. The location ideal. Craig and Cindy were wonderful hosts. We would go back!

We enjoyed a fabulous week at this property. It was so nice to have room to spread out and relax both inside and out. Most afternoons we cooked an early dinner on the BBQ and then headed to Duval Street for shopping, drinks, and entertainment. It was so nice to be just blocks from Duval Street. We appreciated the efforts of the cleaning staff to provide us with a clean and organized space. We would happily stay here again.

We came in at 8pm Saturday night was hard to see the code to get kes but we made it through. Everything inside was clean and well maintained. Pool was big enough for 7 of us to enjoy. House was close to everything we wanted to do. Only issue we had was the propane tank was empty so we could not grill. We had a grea stay and would definitely stay again!!!

What A Great Place!!!

What A Great Place!!!

Over the years I've been to Key West around 10 times and I've stayed at major hotels, guest houses and other private rentals. This place was by far the best. We were a group of 6 people, 2 couples and 2 singles so the 4 bedrooms were perfect and you can't beat having your own private pool and backyard. Everything was simple and very well managed. The owners were quick to confirm our dates and answer any questions - just great communication throughout the entire process. You can really tell they care. Even with the additional cleaning protocols they have in place for COVID the house was ready on time and as promised. So check in was smooth and easy. The place was very clean and the property is well maintained. It's close to Duvall Street, Mallory Square, Sunset Pier and you can walk almost anywhere else in about 15 minutes or less. I am a tour operator in NYC and a business coach who helps companies deliver great customer experiences so my standards are very high and Craig and Cindy nailed it. BOOK THIS PLACE! You will not be disappointed.

Perfect location

This is an immaculate home in a gated community. Duval is just steps away, but you can come back and relax away from the noise. Property managers are very responsive and provided a lot of great tips for our stay. It was less than a mile walk to the marina and the same distance to get to Fort Zach beach the other way. The rooms are spacious and have comfy beds. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a lovely home in a gated community with a private pool. We felt very safe both in the home and community. The home is comfortably furnished and has ice cold air conditioning. The Swimming pool makes for a refreshing afternoon in the August heat. The location is just perfect: close distance to the main street where the restaurants and shops are located and yet quiet in the evening.

Everything was so nice and the owners were so accommodating. The location was great within blocks of world class dining. Blocks from Duval and also the pier. We saw only a couple of things that could make things easier. Most all the literature we got were a list of don’ts. We could have used a few details about what to do. Do park bikes in the rear. Parking in the front is not allowed. Do park car in front of the house. Do take your trash and recycling to the bins off Porter. The back lights are on a timer. Things like that. Still, notice none of these things were that big a deal. This was a 5 Star property and a 5 star experience. The pictures online do not express the beauty of this place. AWESOME 👏�🏽�

Wonderful, clean place to stay. We had a party of 7 , very comfortable and plenty of room. All amenities necessary available. Best part is great walking distance to everything including dining, entertainment, attractions and excursions. Very nice quiet neighborhood. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Everyone loved this rental property! It was nicely decorated, comfortable, and a convenient location. We enjoyed the pool after a long, hot day of fishing, and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. We would definitely rent this house again!
