House was clean, spacious and great proximity to Glacier National Park, only took us 10-15 minutes to get to the park gate each day. Our only knock on the house was that we were hoping for something a bit more private. There is a bar/restaurant very close to the house (Dew Drop Inn) and there was construction going on next door. We still enjoyed the house, but for the price we paid, we were hoping for a bit more privacy. Other than that, house was 5* other than neighborhood.

I would give this property and the owner more than 5 stars if possible! Great location, plenty of room for everyone, and perfectly located. Todd is a wonderful host as well as a great person!

The cabin location is so convenient to West Glacier. It is very spacious, with plenty of room for sleeping, eating and hanging out. It is far enough off of the highway to avoid load traffic noise. Even though the Owner was out of town when we visited, he had help available for us to take care of our needs. One note, if you need the washer and dryer, let them know in advance so they can unlock the laundry room.

This property was in a great location to the Glacier NP West entrance.

Wonderful stay at the Bears Den. Home was amazing and very comfortable! Very well stocked in kitchen, seating and beds. Couldnt have asked for more. Whole family agreed this was one of the coziest rentals we've visited!!! Thank you!!

We came as a family to hike, go white water rafting, see wild life and take a quick trip to Canada. Accomplished all of it and this house suited our needs. It was well stocked and Todd was very responsive to all communication. I was thinking this was in the middle of the woods and it was not, but it was still pretty private and quiet.

We loved staying at the bear den. It is a great location for visiting Glacier! The house is large and comfortable and has all of the kitchen equipment you will need for making meals.

The property was wonderful! It is so charming and comfortable. It had everything we needed and then some.
We had a group of eight adults, a two year old and a two month old infant. There was plenty of room to stretch out and move
I have stayed in many VRBO’s and the Bear’s Den has been my favorite.
The owner was great! He checked on us to make sure everything was ok!
We could have not asked for a better property!

Six adults needed a home base for a Glacier National trip and this was perfect. Within a few miles of the West Glacier entrance, plenty of good restaurants around, Columbia Falls is about 10 miles away and Whitefish is about a 30 minute drive.
The kitchen has plenty of dishes and cookware, toaster and coffee maker should you choose to eat in.
Plenty of room for everyone! There is a train fairly close by but we never saw it.

Location is close enough to the west entrance to Glacier Park yet is still quiet, peaceful, and secluded.
We had a mix of myself, my wife, an adult child, a couple of teen children, and my parents. We had plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable.
The cabin is well equipped with everything!
Nice cabin, nice people, and great location.

This house fit our needs perfectly. There are two large rooms downstairs with double beds and a loft area with more beds (a ton of sleep sleeping room). The kitchen is fully stocked there’s plenty of eating space inside and out great camp fire pit, Ample towels and supplies. My kids said those were the comfiest reclining couches they’ve ever been in especially after a day of long hiking.

Spacious and beautiful cabin close to west Glacier entrance. Kitchen stocked with an abundance of items so we were able to make many meals there. Fire pit out back was nice and enjoyable to use along with the gas grill. Happy to have lots of both kitchen and bathroom towels readily available to use. Nice washer and dryer that worked great. Would be nice to have a few board games available for use although we brought our own. Highly recommend this cabin for a trip to Montana!

We loved our stay. We brought 6 adults and 4 kids ages 4-13. Bedroom arrangement was as described. House was very clean, although it had a bit of a cluttered feeling in the kitchen which could use a thorough pairing down—I counted 11spatulas! and there were a few broken or outdated items—but the provided spice cupboard was handy and there were plenty of dishes.
The location is very convenient to the West Glacier entrance and the little store across the street had all the basics, including a cute Montana cashier/owner who was super friendly.
The rental owners were so gracious and helped us with our needs quickly. We were there over the 4th of July and they invited us over to the neighboring yard to do fireworks with them. My kids were sooo happy. The fire pit comes with PLENTY of firewood and nice benches to enjoy the Montana stars each evening. We had a wonderful time. There’s plenty of table space inside as well as places on the front deck, the back deck, and even a picnic table in the large yard to spread out during meal time.
My only advice would be to swap the king bed upstairs with the air hockey table so that those in the bed retain a bit of privacy if people come up to use the loft bathroom. Also, totally my own fault, but I did not notice that laundry facilities were not included with this rental (at least during our stay) so we had to drive into town to use the public laundry. Just an fyi to other moms out there who may not plan accordingly.

Fantastic location to visit Glacier National Park. House was very roomy and comfortable for our family. Slept four upstairs in loft with a bathroom and slept eight down with a full bathroom and jacuzzi.
Hosts were wonderful and accommodated all our needs quickly. House is FULLY stocked! It was a great spot to rest each evening with fire pit too. Loved the woodsy, quiet location too.

"Shiloh Valley Bear's Den" was everything we expected! We reserved it a year in advance because it had room for our entire family (8 people) to spread out IF they decided to travel with us. It ended up that only the two of us and our oldest grandchild traveled. Our granddaughter mentioned several times how perfect the space in the home was IF everyone had been there.
We appreciated the fact that our three cellular services were strong at our "Base Camp" so that we could reconnect with "The World" after each days adventures in GNP where spotty cell service is an understatement! In addition to that important factor, the property is properly stocked with your basic needs so all you need to bring is your food. I would guess the property is about twenty years old so IF you want "fancy/updated" accommodations this might not be the place for you. It was great for us!!
From this Base Camp we drove to every U.S. entrance to GNP (in order of personal preference for future guests): West, Saint Mary, Camas Creek, Two Medicine, Many Glacier, Polebridge, and Cut Bank. West Glacier definitely gives you the most activities and we would share with future guests to spend time at Glacier Highland Restaurant, a hidden gem located directly across from the Amtrak Station. They serve three meals a day and have a gift shop with the best selection of souvenirs we found throughout the park. IF they had a website, we would order more to be shipped!

We stayed in Aug. 2022 and spent several days hiking in Glacier. Loved coming back to the cabin to grill out after a long day hiking. Enjoyed the jacuzzi and kids loved the air hockey. Everything we were hoping for in a vacation and enough room for all of our children to spread out! We had a group of 8 but more would have fit comfortably! Loved that cupboard had spices in it, since I had forgotten to bring some.

Lovely home. Sleeps 12 and we were three...had lots of room to spread out. Owner very nice and responded quickly to any concern. Good location between Whitefish and West Glacier off main Highway 2. I would recommend and stay again.

Great location for Glacier National Park and area. Lots of space for a group to spread out. The place is comfortable but a little tired. Beds were not the best as well as some questionable bedding with blood on it. There were dirty dishes in the cupboards., so we had to wash things before using them.

I can't express enough how much this beautiful place felt like home for the week for our very large family. Just a few short minutes from the entrance of Glacier National Park, made it such a convenient place to stay and an easy route to anything we wanted to do. Tod was great to work with and "fully stocked" is an understatement. Everything we needed was there. Every type of cooking utensil, size pan, etc was available for evenings of great meals for our family. We also really liked the grills and blackstone on the back porch. Perfect. The kitchen was big and the table sat all 10 adults easily. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I meet that needs space for a growing family or a very fun group of friends.

Had a great time during our stay! Group ranged from ages 3-65. Location is close to Glacier and other area attractions. Todd was very accommodating! Kitchen is fully stocked for everything you may need to spend a night in. Grilling and hanging out by the fire after a long day in the park was perfect for us. Plenty of space and things to do for everyone of all ages. Will definitely be returning!

Warm Family Cabin By Glacier National Park
Todd is a wonderful host to share this family cabin just minutes from Glacier National Park. We stayed with a group of 8 adults, including family and friends and had plenty of room. The kitchen is well stocked and we made good use of the grill. Also loved the large fire pit with benches where we gathered several nights to roast marshmallows.

Perfect
This place was even better than expected. My family was amazed at how nice it was when we arrived. It’s larger than it appears in the pictures. There were only three of us, but as stated, it truly would sleep 12 comfortably. In addition to bed space, there are plenty of dishes, linens, towels, and places to sit for everyone. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit, but there was ample seating around it and enough firewood for an entire summer. Tod checked in with us shortly after arrival to make sure everything was ok. Another reviewer had mentioned the proximity to train tracks, and you can hear them from the house, but they weren’t loud enough to disturb the sleep of anyone in my group. The location was amazing for exploring the west side of GNP and the price is fantastic.

Everything you need!
The second you walk in the door you feel welcomed. Everything is provided and it's only 4 min from the west Glacier entrance. We have been there 3 years in a row because it's that nice and you can get away to a quiet place after a busy day in Glacier.
