About this apartment rental

This studio apartment is located in the heart of downtown Sitka adjacent to St Michael's Cathedral within walking distance of everything you need; restaurants, bars, shopping, harbors, grocery store, library, hiking trails and Sitka Fine Arts Campus. Across the street visit the Sitka Library or Harrigan Centennial Hall where you can watch the Russian Dancers perform during the summer months, visit the Sitka Historical Museum or attend a performance of the Summer Music Festival.

The apartment is located on the second level of a downtown commercial/residential building. The main floor has a coffee frozen yogurt bar, a consignment store and on the lowest level a Mexican American Restaurant and a Food Co-op. The second level is a combination of long term apartments and vacation rentals. The building is locked in the evenings and accessed with a pass key. The building has an elevator for tenants and guests only and the elevator key is provided after check in.

The building has 2 entries and will be locked in the evenings. The apartment is located on the second level so stairs will be necessary to access the apartment when checking in. An elevator key is provided after check in. Guests have an access key to use on the main entrance on Lincoln St. when the building is locked.

The studio has captivating views of Sitka Sound Eastern Channel, surrounding mountains and the Rockwell Lighthouse.

The apartment has everything you would need to be comfortable and feel at home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal, just bring the food. We provide basic spices, coffee and tea. There is a tv with a Roku stick to add your favorite streaming app. And if you need it, wireless internet is available.

All linens and towels are provided, and a shared coin op laundry is available on the same level as the rental unit.

Great location with a lovely view! Easy access to everything including an easy 1.5 mile walk from the airport. The apartment was cozy and had everything we needed including a kitchen with all the necessities. Internet was spotting most of our stay so if that’s important you might want to check with the host. We loved it and totally recommend!

The apartment is very functional with a wonderful view of Sitka Sound. Easy walk to restaurants, shops and local attractions. However, cabs and shuttles are full of cruise ship passengers, so there were none available to/from the airport. Kind local citizens gave us rides. Otherwise we were advised to walk.

Beautiful views of the ocean and mountains from this upper apartment!! Eagles frequently soaring overhead and roosting on an island tree close to shore! Very close to downtown shops and restaurants! Comfortable bed!

We were able to walk everywhere and we had a great view of the water! Bed was comfortable, kitchen well-stocked (although we didn't have reason to use anything) and there was a coin-operated washer/dryer down the hall (we did use that).

This little place is the perfect place to stay in Sitka! You are right downtown and can walk to anything you want to do. The views out the living room window NEVER get old! There are boats and wildlife constantly going by. We saw 10 eagles fighting over a fish and honestly, it’s an Alaskan memory for the books. Right outside the window! Actually, we ended up walking over there to get pics because it was so incredible! We cooked our own food and the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was clean and comfortable. Loved it! Would highly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay in Sitka. The VRBO is central to downtown Sitka. It was so fun to be able to walk everywhere. The view from the apartment is breathtaking. It was a comfortable and safe location.

Beautiful view overlooking the sound from large windows, short walk to everything you want to do in Sitka, immaculate, comfortable bed, very well equipped with everything in good working order, good communication with owner! Only negative was street noise at times.

This studio has breathtaking views from the 3rd floor of the Franklin Building. It is a great size with a full kitchen and on site laundry. The building is very quite and peaceful. Everything is within walking distance of shopping, dining, and tourism. Katy and Jack are some of the nicest people we have ever met. They are very hands on and take pride in their property and their guest are their top priority. We spent 2 weeks in this beautiful studio and throughly enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again when visiting Sitka.

This is a well-appointed and convenient location near most of Sitka's shops and restaurants. We were able to run to Cross Trail and from there get in some wonderful trail running. This is great place for a couple. The bed is firm and the furnishings are cozy. Once the restaurant options are exhausted, the kitchen is small but utilitarian and has what is needed to make good meals. There's no better view.

With a terrific location and view, this studio apartment is thoughtfully designed and well appointed. Seating area is comfortable (with killer view), kitchen is well supplied, and bedding/linens/towels are good quality. Internet is excellent and everything is within easy walking distance. The view is breathtaking and the eagles are very entertaining. This apartment was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It is in a downtown location so it was easy to walk to many places, including the airport! If we ever come to Sitka again, we will definitely see if this same place is available. Highly recommended. This was the perfect place for our fishing trip in Sitka. Everything was just great. Only thing I would suggest might be blackout curtains as we found it a little difficult to try & go to sleep. The blinds were just not quite darkening enough. Otherwise, we highly recommend this unit!
