We were in St. Ignace for the labor day Mackinac Bridge walk. It was perfect and a wonderful experience. We also visited Mackinac Island.

They had everything you will ever need in the kitchen as well as games and toys for the kids. It was close to the town and Mackinac Island but still quiet. The only negative I can see was that there were a lot of little spiders and webs especially by the windows.

Beautiful home facing the lake. We were able to watch the ferry go back and forth all day. It was winter so we were inside the house the entire time of our 3 day stay.
The upstairs beds were comfortable. One of the beds was upstairs, was very loose and wobbling. It was reported to management. Downstairs bed was a bit smaller than a queen bed, but still comfortable. Plenty of hot water for a group of six. Well stocked kitchen with pretty much everything needed for cooking. Not much open in St Ignace in February. But highly recommend Bouys On the Bay,

Everything about this house was just amazing. The views are nothing short of breathtaking. The house is well designed and well stocked with both necessities and nice-to have supplies. We love the location: It’s effortless to enjoy the serenity of the area. We delighted in watching the local geese families and thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks. As other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are extremely comfortable - even the fold-out beds!
From reservation to checkin to checkout, the process was virtually flawless. We’d stay here again without hesitation!

More than enough towels, dishes and games. Just a delightful property.
The view of Mackinac Island was stunning as were the sunrises. Fast wifi, and just a lovely home.
The hot water can run out but that's minor. We will be back.

Huron Haven is just as described, off a quiet street in St. Ignace and delightfully close to the lake. Directly across the water from Mackinac Island with a view of ferries going from main land to the island throughout the day. The main strip & a grocery store that's a 3 min drive from the house. It's evident this property would be amazing during season - a quick walk from the house to the shore, a fire pit, and there was a kayak available to use as well. The kitchen was abundantly stocked. There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor with two roll-a-way beds available, and an additional queen bed in the walk-out basement. The basement bed is off to the side of the large open room and segregated by a folding room screen. Floor also has it's own bathroom, but this sleeping location would be rather exposed (to light/noise.) Large TV on the basement level only. Property is listed as having a hot tub, this is incorrect. There is a separate large jet tub on the main floor bathroom. Water pressure is good. Hot water can be tricky with many humans staying and trying to bathe at the same time. Wood stove on the main level, gas stove on the lower - both functional and quite pleasant. Huge back deck, but has a clear view into the windows of the main bedrooms (but all windows are well adorned with full-coverage-shades.) Stairs leading to back yard from deck were a little "squishy" and made us nervous. 10/10 would rent again.

Went for our honeymoon. The neighborhood was nice. The area it sits in is perfect view for the island. No hot water upstairs, so the tub with jets was useless and shower upstairs had no pressure or hot water. You have to shower downstairs to get hot water. As soon as we walked in we had run-ins with centipedes and spiders, the spiderwebs were everywhere. The place looked untouched for awhile. The smell of mothballs was extremely overwhelming coming from downstairs, unbearable. So we stayed upstairs. This wasn’t worth the price you pay. I left my prescription glasses and they want to charge me an astronomical price to get them back, I live 4 hours away. A 25.00 convenience fee just to drop them off at the post office upon other costs. Very disappointing for something you have to have.

Huron Haven offered us fabulous views of the lake highlighted by beautiful sun and full moon rises over Mackinac Island. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Management very responsive.

This is a cute place with comfortable beds, a well equipped kitchen and relaxing common areas both upstairs and down. We enjoyed the closeness to the quaint shops in downtown St Ignace, the grocery store, and the ferries to Mackinac Island. We spent several evenings around a small firepit at the water's edge. There were a few leftover logs from a previous guest, but we bought some firewood at the grocery store. Overall our stay was truly beautiful and relaxing. Our only issues were related to a couple of maintenance items.
Loose toilet seats (easily fixed by me, but shouldn't have had to), a folding door enclosing the washer/dryer was off its track (also easily fixed by me), and a number of window screens missing so we couldn't open those windows (many flies). Lastly, housekeeping needs to be instructed to do a better job cleaning the cobwebs from around all the window sills.
We have owned our own rental properties, so we know how these little maintenance issues can mount up, but I felt these issues were due to a lack of attention to detail.
That said, we would definitely consider staying at this property again when in St Ignace.

This September rental exceeded our expectations! There was plenty of room, very comfortable beds, windows with picturesque views that we could not get enough of, and nothing we could have needed that was not supplied. We felt like moving right in and never leaving. The location was amazing. The ferry to the Mackinac Island or St Ignace restaurants and grocery store were almost within walking distance. The Bridge to Mackinac City and the fun over there was just down the street and a drive over the bridge. The morning fog and sunrises were beautiful. It was well worth our 9-hour drive to feel all the comforts of home and then some. The memories will truly remain special to us. Thank you!

Stocked kitchen
Fabulous location with beautiful views, private beach, virtually private cove. So fun to use the property’s kayaks on Lake Huron!
Only downside was that listing stated there were three bikes, but two were in poor repair and could not be used. This was the perfect spot for enjoying the UP!

To many bushes around the fire pit by the lake. if there is no wind the bugs are to bad to sit out at the fire pit.

This house was a great place to stay. On the week we were there the winds were up and it was cold so being able to sit in front of those huge picture windows and watch the birds and boats go past was amazing. The house was very clean. It was convenient to town and to the ferry that goes over to Macinac Island. Lots of room with 3 beds 2 bath. My husband sat in the window with his binoculars. I would love to come back in warmer weather. I would highly recommend this house.

We planned a trip to visit Mackinaw Island and booked this home. Perfect place to stay for two couples. On Lake Huron shore with Mackinaw Island visible in background through large windows. Early morning sunrises. Kitchen large and well stocked with utensils and appliances. Close to Saint Ignace downtown within walking distance.
My friends thought the beds were too soft, but my husband and I thought they were perfect. I look forward to returning!

The house was super comfortable and clean. The huge picture windows and comfortable furniture provided a great space to hang out and watch ferries run to Mackinac Island. It is a short walk to downtown St. Ignace, and still wonderfully quiet and restful. It was the perfect spot for a weeklong family vacation for four adults and one child.

Our stay was wonderful. We loved being on the water and the view was amazing. The house has all the extras you need...camp chairs, bikes, kayaks, life jackets, boogie board, yard games and more. St. Ignace and Mackinac island were fun to explore. We did have to contact the owner because the beach area with the fire pit was overgrown with weeds. It was taken care of and we enjoyed the property to its fullest!

Beautiful location
We had such a enjoyable relaxing week in this rental. It was a great location close to everything & beautiful view! Quiet neighborhood. Easy check in and check out process. Rental was clean and plenty of room for our party of 6 with ages 4-70. The Lake was too cold so we didn’t get to swim or Kayak this week so that was disappointing. There was so many large groups of geese on everyone’s property that the goose droppings were everywhere on the backyard grass & beach area so it was hard to walk down in the yard or have a campfire by the water but there is nothing anyone can do about that. We were originally worried with no A/C in June that it would be hot but there was plenty of fans in each room and with the windows open you got a great breeze off the water so it was never uncomfortable with the heat. Had a great week with family! Hope to rent here again!

UP Lake Huron Homewith a View of Mackinac Island
We really enjoyed this lakefront property. It was in great condition and quite roomy for four people. We had an issue with one of the beds, but the managers were prompt in fixing the problem when we called them since the managers are located right in St. Ignace. A ferry runs from St. Ignace to Mackinac Island so this is a great alternative to staying on the island. The weather was a bit cold when we visited in May so we did not spend time in the lake, but we enjoyed watching the water birds through the large picture windows of the home. There are close neighbors on either side of the house, but we did not find this to be a concern at all. We highly recommend this property as a base for visiting Mackinac Island and at least the east half of the UP.

Yes, a few minor issues, but still a great place to stay!
To start this house is in a great location with spectacular views of the water and Mackinaw Island. The main floor has two good size bedrooms with very large closets, a huge bathroom and plenty of gathering space for a large group. When we went the kitchen was well stocked (but bring your own non stick pan) and it was great to have a washer and dryer available. On to the minor issues, I spent the first 30 minutes or so using a broom to clear away the porch, doorways, lights and windows from the outside because they were full of dead insects (no, not a few, many, many thousands) and cobwebs which you could'nt avoid walking on or seeing as you went into or out of the house or opened the windows. I am guessing they sprayed the outside with bug killer but didn't bother cleaning up after. For me, it was not worth a call to have someone come out to clean it up. The lawn had been cut but the long grass had been left which didn't help with the insects and if you wanted to walk to the water of course you were walking through it. As a contrast the neighbors homes on each side were beautifully kept which made the negatives more obvious. The microwave had dried food and crumbs inside and the living room stovepipe had half of it with a layer of dust and the other half that had been wiped off, again minor. We ended up calling management because the lower level bathroom had a leak at the faucet which went under into the cabinet, a gentleman came promptly but said he would have to come back to fix it after our trip along with the kitchen dimmer switch that kept falling off. For couples traveling together be aware the only privacy on the lower level is in the small downstairs bathroom, there are many windows and a glass door with no blinds on them so anyone can walk up and see in and the staircase is very open so people upstairs can see into the sleeping area, also no where to hang clothes but had an old dresser with drawers to use. We ended up stacking pillows and blankets on the stairway ledge to block most of the bed view but you still had the open windows. All this could be fixed with a few more shades on the door and windows and a short curtain to pull across the stairway, none of these are serious issues, in fact we had booked two seperate weeks and will gladly be going back soon. (dont forget to bring bug spray for sitting on the deck)

This is our first trip to St Ignace, so we weren’t sure where to stay. I found this place on a whim, and it didn’t disappoint. There is plenty of room, lots of extra linens, and one amazing view. We would spend mornings and evenings sitting peacefully watching the lake. No phones needed to occupy the time! The house is conveniently located and has everything you will need. We will definitely book this house again for our next visit up north!

Mostly Ok
This place had good, bad, and ugly. The good: Gorgeous lake side views, full kitchen with just about everything you'd need, quite neighborhood, overall a great location and very functional house. The bad: No A/C and not many window screens either so couldn't really open half of the windows in the main living space, outdated fixtures and furniture which weren't the most comfortable but too a huge deal, the fridge didn't really get things cold even when turned up all the way, several locked doors in the house which we really don't like when staying in these types of places even though I know its typical we just hate the fact that we don't know what's on the other side of a door but we lived with it and it was fine. Now The Ugly: Most crap everywhere in the kitchen, on the dishes, in the sink, on the counters, on the towels - this was completely obvious and unacceptable. Anyone cleaning this place would've noticed it. We almost left the first day because my wife couldn't cope with all the mice droppings all over the kitchen. Luckily I convinced her to stay and we spent a couple hours deep cleaning the kitchen, dishes, hand towels, counters etc ourselves. This house is a 2 bedroom, not a 2.5 bedroom. The basement has a bed in it but on privacy whatsoever so we had to bring the mattress upstairs and stack kids up in the same room which was annoying for them...and us. The downstairs also had a strong mold/mildew smell which was unbearable the first day. I suppose we got used to it though and were able to use the downstairs starting the second day.
