About this house rental
Come enjoy Canandaigua Lake! Our wide porches, brand new dock, fire pits, beach, large yard and quiet area compliment this comfortable circa 1938 waterfront cottage.
This cottage offers 1800 square feet of living space, a wide porch including one screened-in porch for lounging/dining/sleeping space for youth, a large family room, a large sun room, five cozy bedrooms with plenty of storage space, two bathrooms, an updated kitchen, a full-sized washer and dryer and wood burning fireplace.
Water
Cottage water comes from a shore well with UV light and is fine for bathing and showering but in the summer time there is no supply of potable water available so we leave several gallons of drinking water for guests.

A beautiful location and well landscaped waterfront. Beach, dock, fireplaces, boat lift and everything you need to enjoy the lake and outdoors. A classic older lake cottage that is quaint. Some areas need updates/remodeling work that would be nice- but the outdoor area is where you want to spend your time and the outdoors and lakefront at this historic cottage couldn’t be nicer -or more beautiful.

This house was a charming, comfortable, amazingly quiet & casual home, with a well equipped kitchen, lots of books and toys, absolutely perfect for families with little ones. We all loved the spacious and beautiful outdoor space, especially the wrap around porch and the fire pit surrounded by comfy chairs. It was a perfect location for boating and the scenery was beautiful! The owner was very nice and quickly responded to any questions or minor problems we had.

This was the perfect setting for the week we spent on Lake Canandaigua. Despite its age, the house was clean and inviting, and offered four bedrooms upstairs for our kids and a master on the first floor. There was lots of usable space - I don't think any room went unused for our party of 6, and yet it felt spacious. From the screened porch where we enjoyed the evening breeze to the breakfast/dining room with expansive views over the lake, to the family room where we played board and card games nightly, to the fully stocked kitchen - there was nothing we could think of that we didn't have. The property itself was perfect - on a quiet part of the lake with plenty of grass where the kids could play outside, and at the widest part of the lake which was convenient for tubing. Having access to the dock and being able to rent a boat for the week from the Smith Bros and store it at the house was a highlight of our visit - most of the rental companies require you to return the boat nightly. The owners were gracious, helpful and everything you could ask for, providing us with additional items to accomodate the boat and checking in regularly to ensure we had all we needed and were enjoying our stay. We'd welcome the chance to return (perhaps for a longer stay in future summers!) and appreciate all Peter and Debbie do to make this an amazing experience. Thanks so much! My husband and I booked the DeMarco cottage for 10 days over the 4th of July week for our wedding celebrations that weekend. It was the perfect location with perfect amenities for our 10 day stay. Beautiful views, great swimming and fishing off the dock, wonderful landscaping, and there's even a tree swing! Plenty of room for ourselves, other family and guests that were staying with us, and perfect for entertaining our out of town guests who wanted to drop by and hang out with us that weekend.
The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, washer and dryer are in good working order, all the beds were super comfy, window a/c units were put to good use (it was super humid for several days of our visit), the entire place was clean and tidy, and there is plenty of parking.
We love Lake Canandaigua, my husband grew up spending all his summers there, being able to share it with all our family and friends for our wedding was an incredibly special and magical experience...and some of that has to be attributed to our incredible stay at the DeMarco cottage.

We loved every minute of our week at this cottage! The cottage was spacious and clean with lots of outdoor living space. The view was priceless and the water was so clean and clean. This is one of our favorite rentals and we have done many through the years.

The DeMarco cottage was perfect for a gathering of three generations of my family. Our host made us feel quite comfortable, and we found everything we needed -- kid toys, life vests, a well-equipped kitchen, plenty of beach towels, and wonderful outdoor space for playing, sitting, stargazing, water sports of course, and more. We may have to make this place our family tradition.

We had a fantastic time for our blended family vacation. There was plenty of space for all; including at various times adults plus 5 kids (teens/college) with comings and goings of various friend groups. We were able to make use of sleeping options in all bedrooms, as well as two porches. The cottage is a great blend of cottage feel but updated enough to allow you to be more than comfortable and feel at home. The location and setting are perfect. a quiet area of the lake even on weekends. On weekdays we felt like we had the lake practically to ourselves, and the water is pristine. Peter, (the owner) went out of his way to make docking accommodations for our boat rental, stayed in touch and made sure all was well before, during and after the stay. Local marina (smith boys) made boat rental easy for us novices. Local biking is world class for views and roads with minimal traffic ( as long as you don't mind a hill or two)
