Beautiful Cabin in Tahoe Donner, located in desirable lower portion of neighborhood for quick access to Truckee, skiing, hiking and Donner Lake. Master Bedroom with King bed and private bath, Downstairs bedroom with Trundle Bed (sleeps 2), upstairs bedroom with Queen bed, upstairs bedroom with 2 bunk beds sleeps 4. Game room upstairs with flat panel TV/DVD for kids play area, downstairs flat panel TV/Home Theater with Roku, AppleTV, and BluRay Player. Able to use HDMI setup to access your cable TV (XFinity) account. Fast Wireless Internet access.

Our family of eight stayed in this Tahoe Donner home while we attended my nephew‘s wedding, which was held at nearby Lake Mary. It was the perfect accommodation for our family to be able to spread out, have quality time together, and enjoy the beauty of Tahoe. We chose this home specifically because my 90-ish-year-old parents were among our party. It had very few steps at the entrance, with the main bedroom downstairs, and the common areas had mostly wide-open spaces, where my dad could freely speed around with his walker. But his favorite part was sitting out on the back deck amongst the huge, gorgeous trees in the quiet serenity and the amazing clean mountain air. More than anything, owners Karen and Bob were extremely gracious and accommodating and ensured everything was perfect. We would not hesitate to recommend this home and will likely return and visit again soon!

We had a wonderful time at this home. The location was great being lower down on the hill so it’s closer to Truckee and grocery stores etc. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Communication with the owner was great also.

Communication with the owner was smooth. The house was comfortable and well-maintained. It’s a pet-friendly rental and we did end up with dog hair on our clothes (even though we didn’t bring pets) so I guess vacuuming could have been more thorough. We ended up hand-washing dishes a lot because there weren’t enough bowls or mugs to accommodate our group for more than one meal, but that’s not a big deal- just something we noticed. We also had trouble with the TV’s but that could have been user error. We loved the location in Tahoe Donner and enjoyed playing and snowshoeing in the open space behind the house!

The house is cozy and a great location. Easy to get in and out, and like they said the driveway is a plus for winter. Tahoe Donner even plowed the driveway! Everything in the house worked fine, and Karen was easy to communicate with.

This is a perfect cabin in Truckee for an extended family get away. It has 4 bedrooms, a foosball table, a closet of games and puzzles, a beautiful large deck with a BBQ, a well stocked kitchen, and it is located in a beautiful wooded, serene neighborhood minutes from Truckee. It also provides access to a recreation center with a pool during the summer and a sledding area during the winter. The owners are super responsive and helpful. We look forward to staying here again.

I try to go every winter with my family to Tahoe, and we really enjoyed our stay. My husband and I have a 20 month old son, my mom came with us, and my sister and her family (husband and 2 boys, 10 and 14). It was quite perfect as my sister and her family took the upstairs 2 bedrooms and bath and we took the downstairs remaining 2 bedrooms. The place was spacious and clean. It also had a foosball table where we all enjoyed playing with each other. The location was super close to Safeway, Tahoe Dave's and Sugar Bowl (where we went to go ski/snowboard).
Karen was very communicative and responsive. We had a great time! Highly recommend.

We booked this trip last minute during a holiday weekend. The host is wonderful and very quick to respond. The home was relaxing and in a great location. I would recommend this place for families. Lots of space and super cozy.

We very much enjoyed our weekend away at this cabin! Great location to town, peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Exactly what you’re looking for when you want to get away. Owner was very responsive. The only con we felt was that the cleaning needed a little more attention to detail. Other than that we would happily rent again and definitely recommend!!

This house is great! The pictures don't do it justice. We had plenty of space inside and outside, and the house would work well for a multi-family/multi-generational gathering, too. Neighborhood is quiet and convenient, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Would stay here again. Thank you!

We had an amazing and absolutely memorable trip here in July 2023! A stunning home (from the interior to furnishings) surrounded by the tranquility. A short drive to Donner Lake and close proximity to Truckee restaurants and shopping. The home was clean, tastefully decorated, beds were comfortable and had everything we needed in the kitchen. We enjoyed dining on the spacious deck. The host was very responsive and a delight to communicate with. We hope to stay here in the future when we visit Truckee.

Great layout. Love the deck and the green space outback. Big dining table. Nice grill. Great for families and elderly dog. Owners were very responsive. Also appreciated the proximity to trails for a hike or bike ride. Would certainly come back.

Stayed with my wife and two young boys. They enjoyed the foosball table and we all appreciated the separate space for kids upstairs. Very clean, spacious, comfortable and functional. Was nice to have access to the garage for parking and storing ski gear. Would stay here again.

A well loved and maintained cabin
When staying in a rental property, you can always tell the difference between one that is an "income property" and one that is actually used by the owners. You can tell this one is well loved by how clean, well equipped, and generally nicely furnished it is. We spent four nights with 4 adults + 4 kids, and had more than enough room. All the kids slept in the bunk room, and the pullout trundle in the downstairs bedroom served as overflow when a kid needed some space to themselves to sleep. The backyard area was sloped just enough to build a long sled run (150+ feet) that kids from other cabins started coming out to join in the fun.
Minor amenity I really appreciated - the sound system was far better than expected for a rental property...just plug in your mobile device into the receiver's USB port and you can stream to what seemed to be a 3 speaker + sub setup. Good for listening to your mountain tunes! (or also in our case...the kids listening to the Encanto soundtrack every day)
I'd come back to this cabin for many reasons.

My friends and I were in Tahoe for a ski trip, and Karen's place was perfect for us. The house had ample room and bed space, everything was clean and the rooms were warm. Karen was also a generous host who was flexible with our check in and check out times. We had a great time and would love to come again.

We do this trip every year, 2 families with kids, and this was a perfect house for it! Plenty of room, well stocked kitchen and wonderfully responsive owners when we couldn't seem to get the keypad to work. All great!

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin for New Year’s weekend for 9. It was such a quiet and peaceful getaway in beautiful snow covered terrain; we stoked the fire, put on a kettle, broke out puzzles, books, and movies— and even had a wonderful view of the stars at night. Being only a 20ish minute drive to the resorts was also great for the skiers in our group. Karen was very helpful staying in contact with us before and during our stay. We hope to return in the warmer months this year for lake recreation.
