Staff were lovely. Shower was nice.
It was like a furnace! Unbearably hot. An electric fan really was needed. It was a feat of endurance to spend any time in the room.

The staff I met were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable enough. Parking on the surrounding streets was easy and convenient, and the location was perfect for our purposes. Great breakfast in the cafe downstairs, and some good beers in the pub.
No cupboard to hang clothes up in, and coffee, milk and sugar supplies in the room were not replenished after our first day.

comfortable bed, toiletries and tv.
The burglar alarm went off at 2.15am and wasn’t switched off so disturbed my sleep all night. The room set up hadn’t been completed - no cups provided so not hot drink possible and bathroom cleaning not completed.

We were walking The South Downs Way and used this accommodation as a stop off. There was a takeaway and a shop next door which was useful.
The room was so tiny that two people couldn't manoeuvre in there and there was no storage space whatsoever.

Location was good, staff were helpful, shower was great
Room was very basic, dirty behind bed, loads of thick dust by the sockets, hadn't been clean for some time.
Music load until 23.00, then music blasting 07.30 from.the barbers which obviously woke me up..
Wouldn't stay there again as was with my 14 YO son

I was awake most night yobs other rooms making so much noise etc the staff would definitely of known about the disturbance

The shower was great and the bathroom was lovely. Nice to have a fridge. The bed was comfortable and offering bottles of water was a nice touch. The rooms are not next to or above the pub so weren't disturbed by any possible nose from the pub itself.
The room was quite small and we struggled with it being described as deluxe, though the bathroom was a step above. Unusual not to have crockery to drink from - there were 4 disposable cups for hot or cold drinks. Sad to only have one pillow each but the bed was comfy nonetheless. Having the WiFi code in the room would have been good. And it would be nice if the lights at the bedside worked separately rather than all from the doorway.

Lovely hotel situated on top of a pub, the room was modern spacious with an en-suite, nicely decorated and staff were welcoming. There were nice touches such as bottles of water at the entrance, an electric heater in the bottom bedside drawer which came in handy as I stayed on one of the coldest nights of the year. There were little spotlights in the room and usb ports from the plug sockets to charge mobiles etc the bathroom was spacious
Upon arrival it was noticeable that the sheets were really creased, investment in good sheets and towels and room prep is needed. The bed looked like it had been slept in.
There was a television ariel running across the room and the Antenna was propped on the window ledge.
The towels looked slightly faded.
There was knotted hair on the floor by the bed which suggests room wasn’t vacuumed properly after the other guest left.
Investment in a good television Ariel is needed as I couldn’t watch television at all as the television kept failing to connect properly with glitches.
There was loud music which could be heard coming from the pub in the night. However this meant it took a while before I could fall asleep but I eventually did, but understandable, it’s on top of a pub. something with the Wi-Fi code in the room would also be useful for customers to connect to the Wi-Fi

Location
We arrived @ 15:00 when rooms said they would be ready only to find that we had to wait an hour as room not ready. It was vey noisy as room was above the pub , room was cold with thermostat not working , bathroom door handle broken in half , unable to close and also I cut my hand on this. We had read that although there is a pub below the accommodation you could hardly hear any noise! This is not the case , we had to listen to loud music until 02:00 and then after it being quiet for an hour it started up at 03:00 for another 20 minutes. This was Friday night “our first night” For the Saturday we were exhausted through lack of sleep and took the decision not to stay for our paid 2nd night on the Saturday as wanted to come home. I’m not one for leaving bad reviews but feel very unhappy in what we paid for

Good location. Very tidy and modern room. Very welcoming
I was disappointed to find out upon check in that there is no food service in the hotel so no dinner or breakfast was on offer. The only option for dinner locally was a kebab house. I feel that this lack of choice should be reflected in the room rate. i would not have booked the hotel if I had known this in advance. The listing still mentions food service so should be changed. Misleading

Written at 23.48 on our stay on the night of 27 August 2022. Stayed with my son.
"Deluxe double room'" was a 8'×8' box room!
1st disappointment, Paid £218 over twice normal rate as I assume football was on! Locals couldn't believe what we'd paid.
2nd disappointment, Got into room to drop bags off then couldn't enter when we came back. Staff member said we had wrong key card (but we'd got in 🤷♂️ ) Gave us correct one. Then at 11pm had somebody coming into our room with different key card!!!
3rd disappointment, bed may as well have been in bar downstairs. Rooms were Soundproofed so description said 🤷♂️🤷♂️ non existent.
Don't normally leave reviews but had to for this.
Absolutely shocking.

Good location for us, parking available, great bus stop for town centre just outside
I booked, and paid for, two adjacent double rooms for my daughter, 15, and myself. The member of bar staff who checked us in had several electronic keys, which opened room 1, but would not open room 2 or any other room. She gave me room 6, a single room, with a mechanical key. This room had no place to work, and I had a one hour online meeting, from the bed. The sheet on my daughter's bed was stained and she slept in her trousers. The pillow smelt of sweat. There was very loud music until midnight. There was a very noisy group of men an women directly outside my window, shouting, clearly audible with windows closed, until 1 am.
