Great location, need some updates
4.0
The 5th bedroom was a real plus. This is our 3rd Dollar Meadows booking with Verbo. The size and location were perfect for our needs.
For comparison, probably at around the same price, we would offer the following suggestions to the owner:
With a party of 10, including kids, an outdoor BBQ on the deck would be a useful addition.
The unit does need some updating. I’m sure this unit is at least 30+ years old. The most obvious need of updating would be all of the bathrooms!
Walk in showers, glass shower doors and working and presentable fixtures are a must.
Given these considerations the unit was very comfortable. The decor, especially the artwork while maybe dated was beautiful. Better lighting for reading would help but overall, with attention to these suggestions, we would strongly consider this unit again!

All good except washer/dryer didn’t work and Wi-fi
worked poorly.

Our stay was lovely. Nice to have a kitchen as dining out in town is expensive for large groups. Unit has a very nice deck and outdoor walking paths. Beds were comfortable and the place was very clean. We appreciated the pool passes and used them to swim in the pool at the Lodge. We will be back.

The kitchen is a bit cramped, but in general the living/dining/deck area was very suitable for our group. Our group was all adults, and it was the universal opinion of those in the twin rooms that the mattresses need to be replaced.
They were a few other deferred maintenance items, but we weren’t sensitive to aesthetics. The condo/townhouse was clean, well-equipped, and met our needs.
The Vacasa customer Service was unusually good. They contacted us by text, and were quick to respond.

This property worked perfect for the whole family. It's location was ideal for using the bus to get to the ski hill or town for dinner.

We loved the location of this property and the 5 bedrooms and 3 baths

We have stayed at this property four times and while it has always been a little outdated it has never been this rundown. The property is in need of a major update. The toilets don't flush properly, the carpet is so gross I didn't feel comfortable walking on it barefoot, the coffee machine doesn't work well, there are missing pieces to furniture and blinds throughout the condo, only two of the four burners on the stove work and the oven never properly heated up, last the bedding is thin and worn out. A major perk of this property, and others in the area, is the access to the Sun Valley Resort pool and with COVID that is no longer accessible, only the Inn pool which has no service and requires reservations (I knew this going in but it is a huge downside if that policy is ongoing). Needless to say we won't be staying here again. For the price per night these accommodations don't meet expectations.

This is our 3rd year staying here for a conference held in Sun Valley. We are this condo, well decorated and clean!

great layout and decor, 8 of us had a wonderful stay, kitchen is well stocked for cooking.

Great for a group of 10
The house was everything as pictured. Plenty of space for a group of ten, very close to skiing and downtown. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. House is a little outdated but doesn't feel that way because it adds to the winter cabin experience.

Nice getaway
This place was perfect for our family. It's a short walk from the Sun Valley lodge. The location is important to us because we like to spend a lot of time doing lodge activities. The unit also has five bedrooms which is hard to find. The unit definitely has not been undated in awhile (maybe since the 1980s??) but I don't mind a little rustic feel on a family vacation. The main living area is super cute and cozy. The TV was a smart tv so we could log into our subscription accounts. The location is most important to me and the location can't be beat. There were two issues that should be addressed however. Two of the stove burners don't work and the dryer takes hours to dry a small load of clothes.

Good size and location but very dated!
This unit worked out grate for our group, however, I would not stay again for the price. Thought it was over priced for the time of year and quality of furnishings.

Great location
Plenty of room for 3 families on 3 floors. Kitchen was a little tight but we made it work. Kids had bikes so took them and pool passes over to the inn. Beds/pillows comfy. Would come again!

Great Location & Dirty Carpets
Great location, close to Sun Valley Village. I have stayed in many different Dollar Meadows units over the years. For most, the age is showing a bit, but the location and layout make it a great place to say. The first thing I noticed about this unit was the dirty carpets. Everything else was fine, but the carpets were filthy. If the carpets were clean, I would have given 4 or 5 stars.

Automation vs Human
Great automation in texts and notifications. But we had a family crisis three months before our booking and I attempted several times to contact VRBO and there was no reply whatsoever. I gave up.

Clean and Convenient
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was clean and in a convenient spot. Everything was as it seemed in the pictures. It is an older property but seemed well kept. I would suggest a few more kitchen supplies such as Saran Wrap and ziploc bags. Wonderful place to stay!

Worn Down with Minimal Effort to All Details
We stay in a variety of Sun Valley properties throughout the year (15-20 stays per year) and have never written a bad review, but this property requires some comments. Amenities were unsatisfactory across the board! Furnishings old, carpets stained, pots and pans old and not a proper selection to cook - no strainer, no plastic spatula, etc. They didn't have basic items like sugar or oil, but were kind enough to leave expired cream of mushroom soup, a sprouting garlic clove, and multiple bags of open coffee from who knows when in the cabinets. TVs were so old they didn't have a wifi option - not ideal for children who want to watch Netflix or Amazon. As my husband stated, "TV's are so cheap now... go to Costco and update them for a few hundred dollars." All of the clocks in the house were wrong. The games all had missing pieces making them unusable, which was upsetting to our children. When you take out Hungry Hippo and there are two marbles that doesn't go over well. Why not replace or throw them away?
The house was not clean and quite worn. Carpets stained, cushions stained. Long dark hairs on towels and bedding. Not the best experience when you take off the decorative pillows and there are hairs all over them.
Also worth noting, we requested early check-in and were denied. In fact, the cleaning crew wasn't out of the place until after 4PM. Then, when requesting late checkout (2PM) we were required to pay an additional fee.
I could go on, but you get the point. With so many wonderful options in Sun Valley/Ketchum, I would suggest staying somewhere that the details and cleanliness have not been overlooked. I guess if all you care about is having a bunch of beds, this condo will work, but we will not be returning.

We loved the space for 8+ and easy access to slopes, downtown, and Sun Valley Lodge for hot tub/pool access. Would stay again

Sun Valley in August
Quick trip, but great weather and call condo was everything listed as. Location to the lodge let us walk there for meetings 5 or 6 times while there and access to the facilities was a plus.

Great place to stay while in Sun Valley
It was a wonderful place to stay with plenty of separate beds for our group. The common area was well used and the kitchen worked well for us. The Sun Valley shuttle was just a short walk from the condo.

Great condo close to everything the Sun Valley area has to offer.
Great condo with lots of bedrooms. I like the double twin beds in the bedrooms. The kitchen is a little small but it is well stocked. The deck is a big plus and gets lots of sun. The pictures on the walls show what Sun Valley was like in years past. Will try to stay here in the future.

Kitchen area was smaller than expected but we made it work.Family area was comfy.
Beautiful area, so much snow the trees were breathtaking! We were worried about parking because we had family come in at different times. Never a problem. Close enough to the lodge and ski resort but yet we felt like we were away from city lights and in our own private place. It was nice to have access to the amenities at the lodge like the hot tub and we appreciated the passes that were left for us with our names on them already in an envelope. The hot tub was a highlight of the trip for the grandkids. We love the snow and making the trip to SunValley was well worth it !!! Skiing was spectacular and we hope to make this a family tradition!!!

The property was mostly fine. There were other issues that were problematic.
The property was fine and my family had a wonderful time together. The location was great for enjoying the outdoors. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues including changing the entry code. The responsiveness of the staff was poor & the resolution was not timely for the amenity passes. The size of the unit (5 bedrooms) versus the number of parking spaces (1) was not appropriate. Not all the burners were functional for cooking. Despite these challenges we had a great time together.

Great location for large group
Cozy, clean, private condo that accommodates up to 10 people. Minimal kitchen and bathroom spaces that needs refreshing but good for families and couples. Flooring, appliances, kitchen and bath faucets need updating. Kitchen utensils and cookware needs to be replaced and organized. Had to ask for 4 extra forks as there were only 7 when we arrived. Management very responsive when we needed coffee pot replacement. Great wood burning fireplace. We were disappointed that during the holidays our passes to use Lodge facilities were restricted. This should be noted on website for those renting during expensive holiday seasons. Overall we were satisfied with the space but prefer updated units.

Great family home for holidays
Great location for enjoying Sun Valley. Plenty of bedrooms for large families. Very clean, great fireplace and although kitchen and baths are small the living/ dining area is cozy and accommodated 9 of us.

Nice house. Good location.
Easy. Convenient. Fair price.

pretty well as advertised, can sleep 10
living area was actually big enough for everyone to be together and socialize. The bedrooms are small but adequate. There were glasses and dishware for 10, but only silverware for 6. Having the freezer emptied of ice cubes seems a bit of cleaning overkill. The location is a medium walk to Sun Valley Resort, and a short drive to downtown Ketchum.

Great place and great amenities!

Great condo for a quick trip
The condo was a great meeting spot for a small nonprofit retreat. Only drawback is we asked to get in an hour early and were told we would be notified that morning, which doesn’t work when people are traveling.

Awesome location... VERY CLEAN!
This was an awesome condo for our family of 8 (4 adults, 4 kids). The location is perfect for skiing Baldy and the amenity passes to Sun Valley lodge are a must...what a nice perk! Our only trouble was there weren’t enough forks for all 8 of us to use at once, and the upstairs rooms were a little chilly. But the condo was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Great trip!

Cozy home with 5 bed rooms
This home was perfect for us! It was a very comfortable space with a great location. The living room was great for hours of catching up with family with puzzles and fires.
4.0
Comfortable, cozy condo with plenty of beds.
The condo is warm and has all the space you need for 10 people to be comfortable. We were a group of 8 women and all had a bed and someplace to sit while hanging out in front of the fireplace. The kitchen is small, just big enough for one person to prepare food.
It is a quick and easy walk to the Sun Valley Lodge and all of the resort amenities.
The bedrooms would allow for two families- there are two master suites and three rooms with two beds each. One of the masters is right behind the kitchen so its bathroom is used by anyone on the main floor.
Check in was very easy with a lock box. My one complaint is that there are three bedrooms, we were a group of eight, and there were only about five rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towels in the place. There were enough toiletries and plenty of firewood.
I would recommend this condo for a group of adults or one large family or even two bigger families. It would be a nice place to stay any time of year- it is very close to Dollar and to the pools and tennis courts.
