We came in on Thursday and the cottage was nice and cool after a long drive from VT. The yard was great and we noticed a few upgrades/changes since the last stay we had. It is very peaceful and close to everything we had planned for our time away. Thanks for another great visit at your cottage and we are looking at dates for our next quick get away.

Great home to stay for fisherman looking to fish the ditch! Bay is right in the backyard where you can fish as well.

This cozy cottage was clean and welcoming. We visited during the off season and it was quiet. From the cottage there was a short walk over the railroad tracks to a beech. The canal was close by and there were many places to go hiking as well as walk the beeches.

This was a cute little cape cod cottage that was more than enough space for me and my dachshunds. Fenced in yard was great and small deck allowed me to sit outside as well! Bob (the owner) was awesome with his communication and the property was just as expected. Location was fantastic knowing the area, and used delivery & door dash with no issues!
I am looking at date in the spring and summer to stay again! Thanks for a great spot to crash for the holiday, it was much needed and worth the cost to rent and not be in a hotel for the week!

Comfortable cottage with everything we needed. Good location for easy access to the Cape and southeastern MA.

We really enjoyed exploring Cape Cod from this property. Excellent restaurants nearby and close to all necessities.

A great little cottage offered so much more than expected. Location was convenient and fenced in yard was a great space for our dog. Hope to go back next year!

I know that it's peak season and a good location, but I found this place to be very lacking in comfort for the price. No end tables anywhere to comfortably rest a drink or phone on. A broken recliner. An unusable, stopped up bathroom sink, a rotted, rusted out barbecue grill, dead flowers out front to greet you, noisy trains feet from the bedroom, throw pillows still proudly displaying their WalMart tags, broken kitchen sink stopper (no dishwasher, so that made doing dishes difficult), trip hazards with uneven floors and a view that can't be seen if you sit down. There were things that I liked about the place and probably would have given it a much better rating if I'd paid 1/3 of what I ultimately paid for it.

The cabin is small but functional, especially if your plan is to be outside most of the time anyway. Place was clean and not musty. We loved the kayaks and outdoor shower. Beds were comfy. Train was infrequent, but close! The futon is in the sunroom, which doesn't have complete curtain coverage, so be forewarned if you are planning on using that for sleeping.
Lovely trip and place!

location location location
The cottage is in a convenient location for visiting the Cape. The location it self is in a small road of the main road against the main railroad that separates it from the sea shore. The area has seen better times and is slightly run down. The house itself also needs some TLC. It's a small house, has two queens beds and no dining area. The furniture is old and large for the living room.

Serious Let-down!!
This cottage was not up to the standard we had anticipated. Sheets were dirty, ants were found in the kitchen (6+), the fenced in yard was not! The gate was removed and lain on its side in the yard. A floor board was broken (trip hazard). Almost every upper cabinet contained used and outdated food packages. When we contacted our person, the food removal was the only issue addressed. We spent our first day of vacation dealing with these issues and decided we couldn’t even stay there the rest of our trip! To say we were disappointed, does not do it justice.
It was a shame, as the location was a good one. Some of the interior items looked newish, but the exterior shown a lack of care. Again, disappointing.

Stunning home away from home!
It's easy to forget that you're right off of the bustling route 6 once you get to the house. It's a beautiful cottage with absolutely gorgeous views of the bay and it's so quiet. You don't get the highway noise, and even the train that occasionally passes by is practically whispering. The whole house is so cozy and inviting, you feel right at home right away. 10/10 for sure.

Buzzards Bay Getaway
I loved the location and the overall feel of the property. The views are spectacular and the train which went by occasionally was quiet as well as delightful.
Some feedback:
-More fans (there were only two window fans)
-The location mentioned a pull out bed from under another bed in a room which was inaccurate
-Neighbors were friendly but cars were consistently blocking the driveway

Fall getaway in Buzzard’s Bay
October is the perfect time to visit New England. We’d camped at Nickerson State in the 90s and in a cottage in Dennisport in the 60s. Buzzard’s Bay is the perfect location to settle in to explore The local area and close to a day’s ride to the lower Cape.
Weather didn’t permit kayaking but the owner’s generous provision of them is a definite plus. The Vermont Maple syrup in the fridge took frozen waffles to a new level! Quiet , cozy and very private.

Nice lil spot for myself and my fishing buddies!
Was very happy with everything. Could use a lil TLC, but was all great for us!

Disappointing
Property has so much potential, but is in desperate need of some tlc, a deep clean and a lick of paint. Garden is overgrown, sand all over floor on arrival, rugs needed a hoover, lot’s of dog hair and general muck on the floor, chair in kitchen broken, and property did smell very strongly of ingrained cigarette smoke. Had the property been thoroughly cleaned nothing else would have been an issue. Beds were clean & comfortable.

Comfortable but not as expected
Very comfortable clean property but not as expected..booked this home because listing stated backyard was fenced and room for your dogs to frolic..Backyard was only partially fenced and my dog had to remain on her leash in yard..in addition the yard was frequented by a skunk in the evenings..short path to beach required a walk on a path overgrown by brush and up and over an active railroad tracks.. i was unable to walk down the hill to the beach and my mother could not even walk up the path..property is right off route 6 and had to back out of property for the whole block to leave. Home indicated it was 1300 feet but hard to believe..bedrooms were very tiny and only item in room was the full size bed..my suitcase barely fit on floor at the end of bed. Closets very tiny but storage offered under the bed..bathroom very tiny..low hanging mirror..no tub..no electrical outlets in bathroom..shower had large window and anyone in yard could see the person showering.. kitchen was updated, good appliances, but left a knife in sink that was used to cut dogs food and rinsed but following morning large black ants had come up the drain and covered the knife.. beds were very comfortable and you could see the bay from the rooms. A small deck was recently upgraded on the side of house and it was very enjoyable to sit there in the evenings..living room was comfortable and had a good size television.. comfortable seating in living room.. firepit in backyard in corner of yard but no seating around around it.. if seating was available it would have to been pulled out of basement by us.. back deck was not in good shape and partially torn down and rotted posts.. this home has great potential but I was very disappointed as the overall description of the home did not match what I encountered..

Comfortable stay in older property
My wife and I had a very comfortable off season stay in this older property.. Great view of water, nice backyard, however railroad tracks immediately behind house although when we were there twe only saw a dinner train every evening and it was relatively short and quiet. To use kayaks, which we did not, you would have to carry them over the tracks to the beach behind the property.. Parking would be difficult for more than one vehicle.

location perfect
off a quiet street local things to do forbthe family
Great view of canal and trains. Beds were comfotable very hot during day even with Windows open and fans on was reading 80 no AC available. nice back yard for kids and dogs to run and cute baby bunnies in the evening. Mold in certain areas of the house like fridge and some windows that didn't shut from the top that were like that when we arrived. location is great and down the street from my favorite Restuarant Ellas property manager very responsive with questions or concerns. They make their own maple syrup for your use.

Great house, for a vacation on the cape. we had four adults and it was fine, the parking was a big issue but we made it work.

Quiet Little Place
Property was small and clean. Since we were there primarily to fish, I really liked being able to walk over to the bay and my favorite spot on the canal was just 5 minutes away. After a long day of fishing, it was a short drive back to the home. It is a little tight with not alot of parking. The street was quiet. Due to the inclement weather, we were unable to enjoy the backyard but it was fenced in and gave plenty of privacy. For 1300 sq ft, it looked a little small but was suited for our needs. I would recommend.

Relaxing stay - cool location
My husband and I had a comfortable stay, with our 2 little poodles (10lbs). The house was clean, warm, quiet, had everything we needed. Host was communicative. He makes delicious maple syrup he shares with his guests. We were able to cook our meals; there is a Stop&Shop closeby. The location is convenient for day trips up and down the coast, beaches, lighthouses, forests, historic places. We enjoyed the view, the little beach on the other side of the tracks. We waved at engineers, as the freight train passes by twice a day - about 8am and 5pm on week days; that was really fun. Easy and safe walks along the tracks the rest of the time. There is a sort of trading post at the end of the street where we got some netting for our own little cottage; they are dog friendly too. I'd recommend this place for simplicity, relaxing times and visiting the area. In the summer, you could set a table and chairs outside.

It was charming and had everything we needed.
We enjoyed looking out over the water and seeing the trains go by. It was a lovely place to spend the holidays.

Convenient location, great house!
We had a great time at the house, it was the perfect location for day trips on Cape Cod and Inland including Mystic, CT (1.5 hrs), New Bedford, RI (30 mins), Newport, RI (1 hr), Plymouth, MA (20 mins), Boston, MA (1 hr), Edaville for the kids (20 mins). Provincetown is about 1.5 hr and other spots on the Cape are closer. The house is very comfortable and stores and restaurants are nearby. The beach is next door, the kids collected lots of treasures there. We had a great time, thanks!

It was cute cottage for a long weekend getaway.

very enjoyable stay
The cottage is just that in size, a cottage but there is so much it has to offer. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay is there, for cooking, showering, cleaning up after yourself, laundry. There is a breeze blowing most of the time you can capture. The view from the deck is a nice way to enjoy your morning. Granted there are train tracks right there but the train only comes through once or twice a day. You can sit and watch the ships come and go. Over the tracks you can walk the beach. A couple of miles this way or that and you can enjoy so much more. There were six of us and we enjoyed it, the kids loved the back yard, I enjoyed having a line to hang towels on during the day. There is cable and internet if you need. We found it pretty centrally located for what we wanted to do. The owner was very helpful and accommodating and easy to talk to and get a hold of. We loved it and can't wait to go back.
