If you want to step back in time and into farm / country life but appreciate a very neat and clean home the Swallows cottage is perfect.
Really enjoyed our stay and felt like we were in a farm home still being lived in by a family. Well appointed and great as simply a place to stay the night after running around the southwest or spending the day, cooking a meal and enjoying a nice fire in the living room.
We will be back

It was pretty spooky at night but it was a great experience. The house is well stocked and fairly warm.

Coming from Melbourne to stay with our Perth daughter and her little one we wanted somewhere to have a relaxing holiday within our holiday for a few nights. This cottage is so lovely. It's relaxed and refurbished beautifully with the traditional original look. The Wren birds out front were a delight and the way you feel so alone without neighbours was perfect. My little granddaughter loved seeing the cows and bunnies. If we get the opportunity to come back we definetely will. Highly recommend this place with a wood heater and super comfy beds and everything you could need.

Lovely cottage, nice and quiet, very comfortable and everything as discribed.

Great loaction, close enough to everything you need but just perfect for a truly rural getaway in a charming character cottage full of history.
Clean and tidy, everything you need for a homestay. We were lucky enough to have see emus in the paddocks along with many other birds in the garden. Highly recommended for some peace and quiet and connection to nature rather than the internet!

2nd stay at swallows cottage. Just as lovely as the first visit. Well priced, gorgeous cottage - friend visiting from US during leavers’ week. cottage was perfect location to show off margs region WA from- very peaceful. Thoroughly recommend - from pretty, well appointed cottage and gardens to blue fairy wrens appearing on cue in the garden.

Cottage was very clean with super comfy beds! Beautiful decor and all the kitchen ware needed for our large group. Spacious bedrooms, two porches so we were not tripping over each other. Good selection of board games and DVDs (phones took a back seat). Nice big country kitchen to sit and share meals. Highly recommend this property

Lovely and cozy. Rustic but had everything you needed. Chilly in winter.

It was the cutest little cottage. Very vintage. It’s a shame we only stayed two nights.
It was very well equipped with what we needed. And in-spite of it being cold, they did have electric blankets.
Lovely fire and lovey morning view off the verandah.
Had a high chair as well as a travel cot. We didn’t realise this and had our own. But great if you are coming and don’t want to drag all the paraphernalia of a baby.
Enclosed outdoor area, which makes it safe for the toddler.
I would definitly recommend.

We stayed in the stunning Swallows Cottage this week, it was impeccably presented with every little attention to detail. It is a gorgeous character home on a working farm amongst the forest just near Witchcliffe. The beauty of the surrounds cannot be captured in photos. The kitchen is very well set up with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle (filled and ready for a cuppa) and everything you could possibly need. The beds were comfortable and the whole home was lovingly set up for a warm welcome to guests. Lots of games, books, entertainment on offer (no wifi but Telstra worked very well on the property to hotspot from phone).
Quick drive into town or the nearby Witchcliffe “strip” . We will definitely be back!

We absolutely loved this quaint little cottage waking up in the morning to the sound of sheep passing by the beautiful little self contained garden with fairy wrens darting in and out of the bird baths. It’s like visiting your nannas house it’s just so cute and relaxing. A lovely little homestead.

Swallows Cottage was a great place to stay. The home was beautiful and the wildlife around the home was great to watch. The fruit trees around the home smelt amazing as they were all in bloom the bees were all busy at work. We definitely enjoyed our stay and will be back to this little piece of heaven.

A massive thank you for an excellent farm retreat. We had a great time getting away from the city (and WiFi 😜). The kids and adults enjoyed the outdoors and when the weather was a bit cold and wet, we had boardgames and videos for entertainment. Bliss.

Lovely farmhouse
The property was very quaint. The birdlife was just magic, could spend hours out in the garden watching the birds! A few downfalls of the property: it was FREEZING! Even with the fire going all afternoon and night it didn't warm the entire house. Thank goodness for the column heater provided and the electric blankets!

Cottage in the country
We were in MR to celebrate my sisters birthday. The lovely country farm feeling drew me to book this accomodation, and I would again. Very reasonable rate and comfortable furnishings; especially the beds. A big plus! Beautiful outdoor surroundings

Cozy Cottage for Winter Getaway
Our second stay at Swallows Cottage and just as we remembered it. Just south of Margaret River on beautiful farmland, this is a great central spot to go exploring or just sit and relax by the fire and drink the local produce :-)

Quaint and Comfortable
A quaint and very roomy cottage. Has great water pressure in the shower and the queen beds are extremely comfortable..
Rocking chairs on the front verandah are a lovely touch and make the place feel extra homey.
It is well stocked with plates, cutlery and cooking utensils and has a full size fridge.
Bird life is in abundance and the peacefulness of the area is amazing.
The only point of reference would be to people that have mobility issues.
The bath is quite difficult/possibly dangerous even to step in and out of, with the toilet being very low.
A grab rail in both the bathroom and the toilet would make them much more user friendly.
Curtains could do with a minor upgrade as they are very faded.
With those things aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay and give it a 9/10.
