Wir werden bestimmt nicht mehr kommen, schmutzig und stinkend!

Einzig die Lage, sehr zentral, gleich an der Hauptstrasse wo alle Restaurants sind.

Ich beurteile diese Unterkunft im Vergleich zu Anderen, welche wir bei unseren Reise bezogen haben. Die Lage ist top. Durch dass wir an der Hauptstrasse waren, war es sehr laut bis spät in die Nacht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Sehr schmudelig und nicht mehr gepflgt. Das ganze Haus erinnert an eine Fähre😅 von den Treppen und Gängen. Kein Lift! Unser Zummer 208 stank extrem nach Urin und die Matratzen waren durchgelegen. Wir hatten unser Zimmer zur Hauptstasse und nicht zum See! Natürlich war es günstig, aber so…😝

Honestly, I was really disappointed. Maybe ok for backpackers, but it wasn't advertised as such.

Location was good - close to the town centre and lake shore.

Many things : Honestly, value for money was not good. No elevator and our room was on the 3rd floor and had to carry very heavy suitcases. I picked the place because of location and high rating for cleanliness. But it was just very used and abused. Even if it was clean, it didn't feel clean. The walls were made of cardboard - you could hear people in the hallway and see the light. It didn't help that there are many pubs placed just outside. Even though it was off season, the outside noise was really disturbing. Comfort wise, it wasn't great. There was barely any space in the room to open your luggage. No chair. Even no hanger for your jacket.

The personnel was very nice, the dorm was spacious and had a bathroom. The rooms were quiet which is a nice change for a hostel. The location is also really good as the hostel is located right in the center

It was comfortable and warm. It was super clean and the view was so nice, especially in the morning!

I didn't like how you could hear the clubs across the road, but it is what it is,

Loud, thin walls, but central.

location was central and close to the lake

It is a VERY loud area, music playing until early hours of the morning. The walls are thin and you can everything that goes on through them. Elevator only to the first floor. Only street parking which has time limits.

Pleasant

Tea, coffee and kettle in room plus good location. Hair straightener in the bathroom.

General facilities were pretty good, but the kitchen was disappointing. One fridge leaked water onto the food, the cookers needed matches and on the first day there wasn’t sufficient spoons and forks. However when I mentioned this to a member of staff she did produce more cutlery the next day.

Location, location, location. It s a basic hostel, does what it says on the tin. Oh Yes, location ++

The location was excellent. Right in town, surrounded by numerous pubs and restaurants, and only a block away from the lake and large park. The room although very basic had two sets of bunk beds.

The staff appeared extremely stressed when we arrived, about things going wrong at the hostel, e.g. electricity outage that had interfered with the door locks. i was not reassured that we would be safe and left a little terrified if I were to lose the key card or the entry code for the room. There were two staff, the second seemed like it was her first day on the job after minimal if any training. It took a bit of hunting before they could find our booking. Not the best welcome I've ever had in accommodation. We were not offered any advice regarding parking especially as everywhere seemed to be limited to 1 hour only. The communal kitchen was large and seemed well-catered, but cleaning was clearly largely left to other residents. The foyer space was large and mostly unused. Could have been set up far more comfortably so as to be even marginally welcoming.

Central Location and lovely staff. Clean rooms.

Be aware that the elevator only takes you to level 1. every other level requires you to take a flight of stairs depending on where your room is so if you have a lot of luggage or a disability, either ask about staying on level 1 or find another place. Beds were a little uncomfortable but for a one night stay, it wasn’t too bad. Lots of noise from the bar across the street but that is stipulated by the hotel when you book.

Nice little stop

Nice clean room with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Perfect for us as we just needed somewhere to sleep at night as we were out all day.

Getting woken up at 3.30am on our last night due to someone from one of the Stagg dos setting off the fire alarm.

Clean room

Location is very central Clean room and linens Quite place

We are on the 3rd floor and its a bit challenging when you have heavy bags with you to climb the stairs. Not too bad though hence I rate this as a 9/10.

Very good

We were surprised the attached bathroom was very huge! We loved our stay there. The room is comfortable. Comfortable bed, got a lake view where we can watch sunset and sunrise from our room. Bathroom is exceptional. Would definitely stay in the same room again. The location is also very central we could just walk to go anywhere. Car park are generous as well around taupo so no issue with parking. Overall, love our stay there. this room type is located at level 3 and the building has no elevator. So if that is a concern for you, maybe choose other types of room on level 2 or level 1.

The kitchen facilities are equipped but quite dirty. Could do with more frequent cleaning.

Pleasant

Easy to walk around. The heater in the room saved me from freezing at night.

No lift to go to 3rd floor and the stairs were steep.

I wish I could be back!!!

No breakfast, it is a Hostel. We (me and my wife) took an ensuite room. Bathroom super clean, excellent shower, very comfortable room (3rd floor).

Only one power outlet in the room.
