Beautiful! We were so delighted with everything about it. So cozy and inviting.

The building is beautiful/ in an old abbey. Very quirky. Nice restaurant for breakfast. Convenient location. We stayed in a junior suite which was very nice and comfortable.
We moved to a full suite the 2nd night since our original room was not available. The full suite was on the top floor - which required climbing 3 flights of very narrow & steep circular stairs . I think some older people will have difficulty with them. Also the bedrooms are upstairs - another flight of narrow and steep stairs- with the bathroom on the main floor - a flight down from the bedrooms.

Had an amazing stay here, thank you so much to the lovely staff for being so accommodating and kind.
4.3
Great location, beautiful property, wonderful staff. Very nice breakfasts, too!
I wish there was a little more art on the walls of the room. Keys were kind of difficult to use.
4.3
The property is well located. The renovation/conversion to a hotel was well done, but the most important reason is the wonderful employees that make you feel like you’re at home!
I will return!

Don’t like using the word ‘unique’ as it’s overused and therefore meaningless but this place is! Also impressed with the breakfast quality and the bed linen and towels. And receptionists - especially the blonde this morning who offered to post my letter AND use some Scotch on it! thank you!
nothing- though we thought a tapestry rug might have been more in keeping with the 12th century ambiance rather than an animal skin…..but that’s a personal thing.
4.3
Beautiful converted building, though some of the rooms would not be easy to access if one had mobility issues.
4.3
Beautiful building in a beautiful location.
The spiral stairs to access the second floor made getting our luggage to our room difficult.
4.3
Very atmospheric little hotel ; with entrance into a turreted stairwell down to a vaulted reception/bar/restaurant. The bed was so comfortable, crisp and white bed linen; the room felt (and was) clean and sumptuous. Luxurious Claris products in bathroom.
It was perfect for us.
There’s no parking, but on road parking is plentiful and cheap.
Was not aware of a lift and the stairwell is steep and spiral so may not suit everyone.

charming and clean
nothing!

Lovely room, with an amazing dining / bar area. Pool was amazing, even mid winter. Amazing hosts that couldn't do enough to please. Free parking just around corner.

renovated to high standard and still kept original features, a classy hotel. very good location and helpful and friendly staff.
the room was great and clean, newly renovated to a high standard. comfortable beds, good heating.

staying here was like staying in a medieval castle. the lobby was amazing. The room was a mixture of old world charm and modern amenities. the sheets were the softest I have ever slept on.
the stairs were a challenge but the view and room made it worth the hike. just needed to make sure you got everything you needed when leaving for the day.
4.3
Great location in former Abbey which has been tastefully restored. Our room and bath were spacious and comfortable. The pool was a definite plus.
The bathroom needs a shelf for toiletries.
4.3
historic building, central, near to parking,
spiral stairs difficult to navigate with cases, lack of surfaces in bathroom

Great location.
Amazing breakfast and breakfast room.
Lovely and very helpful staff.
We were on the top floor which is a lot of stairs.
No problem for us but be aware.

location and historical aspect
pool was cloudy and smelt of chlorine

central, unique, amazing products, friendly, great breakfast

it can be challenging with someone with mobility problems due to its many steps to reach tue bedrooms
4.3
The hotel is absolutely charming, within a beautifully maintained ancient building. It was spotlessly clean and the bathrooms and toiletries (Clarins!) were particularly appreciated. In a central but quiet location, plenty of lovely restaurants can be found nearby.
The spiral staircase up the the bedrooms was certainly steep, although as long as you're fit enough, it is charming and full of character. Breakfast was a bit of a guessing-game as there was no menu and the staff did not reveal what was available unless specifically asked, eg yoghurt, bread, grapefruit juice.
4.3
Fantastic staff, great location, super cute and unique building.
The bar was gorgeous but the prices were quite high.
4.3
Wow! A real gem. the rooms were oddly set up, but that’s because it was in a 13th century abbey! Clean, comfortable, great breakfast and a spectacular bar!
4.3
very nice but overpriced. stairs very steep for those with limited mobility
