Wonderful hotel, very comfortable and welcoming

Excellent location right by Mozartplatz and only a 15 minute walk from the main buses on Mirabellplatz by the gardens for most bus connections, local and regional. Many buses drop off close by as there is a stop by the platz and bridge to the hotel. It was 10 minute bus ride from the central railway station and less than 5 minute walk to the river for evening stroll. The staff spoke perfect English which helped as I only have a spattering of German phrases. Easy to check in and out and the building is beautiful. There is a lift to access the floors and the room was a good size, very quiet at night and the bed was comfortable with good linen - most comfortable I've slept in! There were some nice touches such as free toiletries and the coffee/tea was topped up each day even when I had hung the no cleaning sign out on the door. It was rather warm when I stayed but there was a fantastic fan in the room which cooled me down. Spotlessly clean when I arrived and excellent wi fi which was easy to connect to. Breakfast was very good, plenty of options and attentive staff.

The pillows! Seems to be an Austrian thing as it was the same in Vienna - very thin but easily resolved by folding in two and putting a folded towel underneath for extra height. If I'd thought about it I could have asked for another but it wasn't a big problem.

Excellent location.updated rooms and beds, helpful and friendly staff. Standard breakfast. candy in the lobby for the kids and and honor bar for late night nibbles and drinks.

Graat location and lovely hotel

Fantastic location. Warm ambience and friendly staff.

Rooms were a tad small but it was fine as it is a very old historical building. We had a lovely stay.

room was tiny, en-suite needed careful manoeuvre to use facilities. Breakfast was €26 which is extortionate. very limited facilities for guests other than the tiny bedroom, no bar or evening restaurant

Our whole family loved Salzburg, we loved staying in the Altstadt.

Location is excellent. The breakfast was good but overpriced: 50€/2 people and there were only 3 warm options. We ate breakfast twice for convenience but next time would stick to bakeries and other cafes for breakfast. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Beds were not super comfortable and filled up most of the room. Not a lot of room in one room for a family of 4 to spend down time together.

A lovely hotel that’s very well-located in the old town and with staff who make everything even better.

It had everything we needed, was good-looking, comfortable and in a great location. The staff were extremely polite and helpful - lovely.

Central location to old town. Nice breakfast with great service. Friendly front desk. Would come again.

Not really much. The only caveat is that the entrances have a few steps so it is not wheelchair accessible or easy to carry heavy luggage in and out of the hotel.

Excellent!

Excellent location, the hotel is left than half a block from Mozartplatz. The staff was incredibly helpful at every turn and the hotel itself is very well kept and clean, We will definitely be back on our next trip to Salzburg.

a gem of a hotel in an amazing location with the best breakfast.

fantastic location in old town right near Xmas market. the most beautifully presented breakfast buffet which is constantly being replenished with delicious food. lovely staff at reception. loved it.
