Comfortable country hotel , welcoming staff , good food .

Comfortable local hotel , good restaurant , welcoming staff

Inability to put bar and restaurant charges onto room account . Was given a differing explanation as to why facility was not available !! Not impressive PS if this persists Booking . Com should make customers aware of this .

Would definitely recommend and come back

Very well maintained and presented The suites were excellent and cozy. Very impressed. Super comfortable and easy access to M6 Stayed over for a night on our way to Scotland Breakfast was great

Hotel needs lots of TLC and repairs

They found me another room in another hotel to stay in.

Window was shot and room horrendously noisy with the noise of the A74. I had to change hotels as I wouldn’t be able to sleep. Why they don’t regularly check their rooms and windows I don’t know. Receptionist was ‘off’ with me when I left as if I had made too much fuss.

Very disappointing was so looking forward to the opportunity of staying in the cottage

The size of accommodation and car parking very quiet

The cottage paint work needs updating heating not working properly towel rail in bathroom not working. Did speak to reception who sent someone straight away but problem was not sorted bed was like sleeping on a piece of wood uncomfortable all night not a good sleep very disappointed considering this was a upgrade.

They upgraded our booking to a two bedroom cottage. It was a really wonderful experience for us.

Gone downhill since our last stay here 10 years ago!

Convenient for A74

Bathroom was internal and in need of a upgrade. Cost of small bottle of Prosecco, and we had 4 of them, was £12 each - in all honesty, a total rip-off which left a bad taste in the mouth (not literally)!

Location

Lots! It was not clean, it was very uncomfortable, the beds were dipped into a banana shape from cheap mattresses. The room was very noisy as the motorway was right outside our window. The wooden floor in the room was dirty and very slidey! We really don’t enjoy our stay here and we’re glad it was only for one night? Stained carpet was disgusting!

Very hot in the hotel.

Breakfast & Dinner were very nice. Especially the fillet steak! Plenty to chose from on the buffet breakfast.

The hotel was extremely hot! The room, the loft and restaurant. Could do with some air con. We did get a fan for our room upon request.

beautiful place for a wedding.. not for a good night sleep

it was a lovely little cottage which was spacious and well equipped, the area and views and stunning

the ants in the main bedroom crawling over the dressing table, they also went into the bathroom. the refrigerator alarm for the air con went off both mornings, once at 630am and the other at 330am so although the cottage was comfortable we didn’t get a great night sleep. the maintenance men told us the alarm was going off because of Aerosol being used… we was fast asleep at the time so had not been using any… if your in cottage 1 in the future take some ear plugs 🤦‍♀️

clean hotel. friendly staff

noise from motorway horrendous. this is a wedding venue so obviously guests are louder due to celebrations. if you want a quiet relaxed maybe avoid. wouldn’t stay there again .bunk beds poor quality too

Excellent location, and facilities to break the journey home which made a leisurely drive to the ferry the next day. Great breakfast (full) that lasted the whole day.

The breakfast was very poor, had to wait 20 minutes for food to come to the hot plate what was already there was hard and dried out. When you stay at a hotel on holiday or for work breakfast is the most important meal of the day, it is ment to set you up for the day. So basically spoiled our stay.
