Maria is indeed very nice (as all the reviews said) ☺️! Great location, small but well equipped kitchen, great area very close to the beach.
The house is rather small, so it's a bit cramped when the hostel is full.

All of it :). About two years ago, I stayed in this hostel for 2 weeks. Because it was such a good hostel with a chilled vibe, I decided to stay here again with a friend. Again, the vibe was chill and Maria is just amazing :). It is a small hostel (14 guests max) and it is cleaned every day. Oh yes, the beds have curtains! Every room has big windows, also the bathroom has a window which you can open. I can actually keep writing about this hostel. My advice: just book and go!

Rather small hostel with nice vibe
Maria was extremely helpful and it was really nice to chat with her
Very good value in Ericeira
It‘s not the most modern hostel, some parts are perhaps a bit small and my mattress wasn’t the best but it was still very comfortable

I loved staying here, it is really clean and offers a very friendly atmosphere among the guests. Maria is so chill and helpful!
the shower and kitchen were a little bit cramped

I travelled with 3 other friends and all was smooth and amazing! Maria, the hostel owner, is incredible and made our stay in Ericeira 10x better, with great advice of what to do, where to go, flexibility with the check in and check out and more! 100% recommend!

Maria the owner was lovely and makes you feel like at home! Also the atmosphere is great to meet people. Good vibes 🫶🏼💕
nothing. i was just great!

Maria!!! She’s no doubt the best host I’ve ever had. It felt like coming home every time. Clean common areas and supreme location in town. The beds don’t look of anything - but they’re actually pretty comfortable. I loved my stay!
I wouldn’t say there was something I didn’t like. If anything should be different another dorm room could be nice. The hostel has room for 12 people (plus a private room) in total and it could be a bit too quiet some days.

The 70's hostel was a perfect place to stay. A small hostel but very social and in a perfect location. Maria was lovely and catered to our every need. The perfect balance of social and relaxation. Will definitely be returning.

We should have stayed longer

small and cozy hostel. met and hung out with amazing people. María is a legend amongst legends. Bards will make stories about this place and will be passed from generation to generation.
the showers could be a bit bigger, but then again, I only spent 10 min a day there. so, no biggie

All was good! To be honest, all was more than good. Maria (the owner) is very nice and always in the mood for talking. She is doing an awesome job with the hostel. The living room of the hostel is cosy with a couch and a big table. The kitchen has everything you need to make your brekkie, your lunch and your dinner. There is a spot to put your surfboard and in front of the house there is a terrace. The roofterrace is small but amazing to sit and just relax. The rooms have windows and lockers with key! The hostel is clean and as I said, all was more than good :)! The location of the hostel is very good. Close to the 'real' city centre of Ericeira, close to the different surf beaches, close to the supermarkets.
I probably forgot to mention some other great things about this hostel but just go and check it out yourself!

Absolutely fantastic hostel. The travellers were all super friendly and the owner Maria is just fantastic. A great, welcoming place in a fantastic location, will definitely visit again!

Location is pretty convenient and the price is really low (but according to the quality).
The beds are confortable and large enough even for tall people.
The girl at the reception was friendly and waited for me even if I arrived a bit late (21:00). It has potential to catch up with other people if you are a solo traveller (common areas, terrace, kitchen and so on).
I had not a lot of time to fully appreciate the place. However, I did not like a few things and I am pretty sure that there are better accomodation options around (unless you just want the cheapest one, in that case is ok).
The showers/WC were very dirty when I arrived (and also early in the morning). No toilet paper at those hours, so be sure you have your own source of paper if you usually "need" the WC late at night or early in the morning.
They charge 3€ for the towel, which I find a bit abussive (specially considering that Portugal is well known for its cheap towels!).

Maria was very nice! Thanks for everything!
