It does have distant views of the mountains and sea despite what another reviewer has said. Although we were on the third floor overlooking the neighbouring buildings so the lower floors likely do not have these views.
Incredibly outdated. Our room didn’t look like the picture shown at all. The floor was dirty. Shower head is tiny and the pressure was brutal! No sockets next to the bed, just a small extension lead under the TV. The air con sounded like a didgeridoo! The walls were very thin - we could here a couple having ‘private adult time’ in the middle of the night. My father chose the hotel as he thought it was central from the description but it isn’t! Nowhere to park nearby either, it’s surrounded by tiny lanes (you’ll hear the mopeds racing past all night through the single glaze windows!) Restaurant/bar downstairs is constantly inhabited by drunkards. My parents also got stuck in the elevator during our stay! Considering all of this, it definitely felt overpriced.

Stayed one night and it served our purpose, however the room was very dated and did not make us feel comfy. Cigarette holes in the curtains you could see the light through them in the morning. The bathroom was very worn and not really enticing to step in the bath for a shower, also the shower curtain had not been washed at the bottom. Big mouldy lump on the bathroom ceiling. This hotel needs a refurbishment to bring it up to today's standards for paying clients. We would not stay again.
Paid 50 euros for 1 night bed only but get far better on motorway services.

quiet area next to hospital. top floor with views. cafe next door.
showerhead loose, did not stay in position.

Located out of the main town on a narrow one way road.
Parking was difficult and just being able to unload the car was a problem. No on street parking available and eventually found a public car park. The room needed upgrading and although it was non smoking there were cigarette burns on every piece of furniture.

After my few days being a holidaymaker in Nerja I needed a one night stopover further east so that I could easily and quickly head north up to Durcal then on to Granada.
As I had hoped, Hotel Costa Andaluza was the perfect choice. It was in the northern part of the city and I set off in the car first thing Monday morning straight on to the A-4133 road to Vélez de Benaudalla, my first port of call, within one minute.
The hotel was easy to find and I parked a few yards from the front door.
Through a small but heavy iron door off the narrow street and up a few steep steps there was a small, dark, eery reception manned by a very pleasant and helpful young man.
There was a decent view from the window of my single room on the third floor. It was accessed by a fairly old lift opposite the reception, and was pretty basic - cheap pine furniture, a difficult to open sliding door wardrobe and a television with a screen smaller than my laptop sitting on a tall discount store wheeled trolley. I would describe the room as adequate. The bathroom had a bath with a couple of chips on the edge and an overhead shower with a mind of its own. I would also describe it as adequate.
I chose the hotel, not only for its location but also because I could have an evening meal there. However, I can’t comment on the restaurant because it was Sunday so it was closed - of course, why shouldn’t I have realised this? I walked to where the receptionist said was the nearest restaurant a few streets away but that was also shut.
So I drove into town, passing a few restaurants which were all closing up for the night. To cut a long story short I had a pleasant wander around the city and Parque before eventually, and luckily, coming across Tapas Tranvía in Plaza Tranvía.
The hotel’s restaurant was open for breakfast on Monday morning so I had my tostada and café and headed north.
The hotel was OK but, compared with others I stayed in during my trip, I didn’t think it was great value for money.

This hotel has a reputation for being a very good place to stay if you have to visit the hospital nearby - which was the case this time for us. Really comfortable and the staff friendly.
Nothing at all - will be back very soon.

I loved my stay at this hotel so much, very affordable and very comfortable, I totally recommend it

convenient location…
I suppose you get what you pay for. Our room was 42 euros, but we did not expect our bathroom to have suffered a leak and smell ! Although WiFi was meant to be available in all rooms, it was impossible for us, in our room to connect. One socket in the room …thank goodness for an adaptor …and as for the flat screen tv…..Torn curtains, cigarette burns on bedside table, even though smoking not allowed.. and no toilet roll ! Sadly, from personal experience, I would not recommend this place …sorry

Good location, basic and clean. Good breakfast.
Difficult to park in the area.
3.1
Small 'single' bed very uncomfortable, thin mattress. Only one wall socket to charge devices.

A charming boutique hotel. The owner is an artist and art lover, so the reception area is more like a gallery than a hotel, with some reproductions (Sorolla etc) and lots of original pieces. There is a lively bar downstairs and it is a ten-minute walk to the bars and restaurants of downtown. Exceptional value.
I genuinely can't think of anything. Astonishing value, comfortable, friendly. The only downside is that it is hard to park in these crowded streets but we found a spot five minutes away. But that is a minor quibble.

Perfect air condition. 😋
Noisy room. Walls like a paper. There was nothing around the hotel.
The bathroom roof was moldy.
3.1
Wide room, large windows and full of natural light, great natural ventilation (bathroom included), easy to reach by car, close to city centre
Difficult finding parking (option underground paid parking), place need a bit renewal
3.1
Good food and service at the location
Easy to find parking nearby
Not located in the heart of the city, but actually that’s a good thing, as the city is just a short walk away
Room could have been cleaner a bit more updated
