Wake up and relax over morning coffee in the sun room overlooking a beautiful moss covered back yard full of local wildlife including squirrels, birds, deer, rabbits and an occasional red fox. Then, head out to enjoy a full day of hiking, biking, sightseeing, Busch Gardens/Water Country, art museums, world class shopping and restaurants, all mere minutes away.
With a wide variety of world class restaurants so close at hand, there's no need for cooking, however, a microwave, coffee pot and mini fridge are located in the sunroom downstairs, so any leftovers may be warmed and enjoyed in the dining room or sunroom dining spaces.
This is a historic home, constructed in 1965, with bricks over 300 years old and purchased by James P. Whyte, Jr., (Dean of Marshall-Whyte School of Law at the College of William and Mary, 1969-1975). Dean Whyte purchased the bricks from a courthouse built in Williamsburg in 1720 constructed with hand-made bricks made by indentured servants brought over from England during the late 1600s through the American Revolution. Many original elements remain intact from the original home constructed on this gorgeous property. We love pets and while we would love to host them as well, it is not possible due to the sensitive nature of this historic property and the high degree of stewardship required to maintain authenticity and original elements. There are several excellent boarding facilities in close proximity to the property and recommendations can be provided on request.
The driveway has a parking capacity for 5 cars.
Additional city taxes which VRBO does not collect must be collected by us and will be requested as an additional payment in the amount of 5% plus $2 per room / night tourist tariff and a detailed description of our property rules and guidelines are provide in this listing under the appropriate tab.

Beautiful Home in Colonial Williamsburg!
This beautiful home is ideally located - easy to get to William and Mary, Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown settlement, Yorktown beach, Busch Gardens - and the many other attractions of the area! The house is lovely - the rooms are very nicely spaced from each other and allow a lot of privacy, great kitchen for cooking big meals and gorgeous back and front yard. We have had a wonderful stay!
