Great location, comfortable furnishings home away from home.
Lovely gift basket …. Wine, scone with clotted cream and jam ….. really Cornish experience.
Kitchen fully stocked
Great water pressure in the shower
Lovely clean and comfortable beds
Overall great design.
Could not open the windows in the conservatory.
Chair in dinning room broken and the others were loose.
Same patches of damp on the wall by the fridge and behind the bin.
Radiator in the living room behind the radiator cover was dirty and we could not get it to work.
Outside washing line was rusted and lying in the outside drain

The whole house was kitted out perfectly, beds were so comfortable, fittings, fixtures and decor were spot on, really felt like a fisherman's cottage so the overall experience was exactly how we were hoping, We had everything we needed and more plus a very sweet welcome pack.
The location is also very beautiful, 8 mins walk into the main part of the village and literally 2 mins and you are on the beach.
We had a beautiful experience and we will definitely be booking the place again for our own pleasure.
°Parking was a bit awkward.
°The only thing I could recommend is leaving should be 11am not 10am. By the time you've woken had breakfast, had a wash packed plus leaving the house as expected it felt like a bit of a rush, not the best vibe to end the holiday.

V cute cottage, perfect for family of four. Welcome pack with cream tea and wine was a lovely touch. Cottage was just the right size for a family of four.
A little on the expensive side for the size and style of property but I suspect this is just the nature of the area. Heating was hard to moderate so we found we were either very cold or far too hot

Lovely comfy beds, bedding and towels were top quality. Shower...best ever. Nice to have a welcome pack too.
Only one of the storage heaters was working and despite calling sykes cottages no-one came to repair. Also due to wind and rain water was coming through upstairs windows.

Great walking distance to the town. A lot of charm to it.
one of the storage heaters downstairs did not work, so was quite cold on the evenings. It was advertised as having parking, but it was just street parking on the road behind. the key lock box is broken, as it will open no matter what code you put in (thought I’d mention as a security problem for the owners).

The location was excellent, so close to the sea that we could hear it when we were in bed, and only a short walk to the shops, restaurants and pubs in the village.
Lovely surprise to have a welcome pack left for us.
The house was well equipped and felt like a home from home. Great to have Sky channels. The kitchen area had both a dishwasher and a washer drier which both came in useful.
Out the front of the property was a little table and two chairs which were in a great position to enjoy the sunshine and seaview.
Some of the furniture could have been more comfortable, i.e the mattress on the double bed had a topper which was way too soft for my back and the sofa was flat and uncomfortable. However the house was warm and cosy.

Great location, very helpful neighbours. All the equipment needed . Excellent cleaners who were so helpful as we arrived early.
Ideally situated for what is becoming a great foodie location and even better this year with the new Michael Caine restaurant along with Kota Kai.
Needs new sealant around the bath and a better shower mat as it’s very slippery.
I oiled the gate hinges but they could do with being replaced. As you see I’m struggling to find anything that is significant. Just such a nice place.

We arrived to Porthleven after an eleven hours journey and appreciated the welcoming gifts. We used the heater at the evening as the weather was still chilly. The SKY box was a nice surprise. The double bed was very comfortable, we had quite nights. We had afternoon teas on the little terrace. The neighborhood was very welcoming.
At arrival it wasn't easy to identify the cottage as there is no name or number on it. We ordered food delivery for the week, found the fridge and especially the freezer very small. A reminder to open the screen at the bath as the end of the bath has a very steep slope and the slip mat has a tendency to move very easily, always use the hand grab!
