Great property in a quiet neighborhood. A quick two block walk to the beach. The walk to the main part of the broad walk was a bit far but this allowed for a less crowded and quieter beach experience.

Great stay in this Rehoboth Beach Cottage. New comfortable beds and cold AC downstairs. Upstairs rooms with 5 twin beds was warmer but a portable A/C and fan helped a lot. Maybe bring an additional fan. Cleanliness in a few areas could be better and the cottage is showing some wear. Old coffee filter was moldy, dirty wet laundry was in wash and not started, dishes were wet and not put up. Minor things. Book needs updating of local contact, but message via VRBO worked great and was responded to promptly. Kitchen is well equipped, almost too much ‘stuff’ and careful much isn’t microwave safe. Screened front porch was an awesome hang out spot all week.

It's hard to find vintage cottages like this anymore. We had a great stay.

What a perfect location for a fall stay. We stayed for 6 weeks and everything was perfect. We walked to the boardwalk, the lake, and downtown. The house is a quaint old Rehoboth original cottage with many charming touches. An older but pleasant home.

A very charming and whimsy beach house to say the least! We loved the location which was walkable to everything. Comfortable beds too! We had an issue with the heat not working but the owner was quick to resolve it. We had heaters to get us through until then so the heating system must be quirky. We were toasty warm after that. I would have given this rental 5 stars but it was not clean when we got there. We had to sweep the walkway in to the house which was covered with leaves and twigs. Same with the back patio. We also had to vacuum the black dog hair off of the furniture and empty what was missed in the bathroom trash baskets. Yes it is dog friendly but we have doodles and they do not shed. We were a little annoyed to see black hairs everywhere. Once we cleaned it up to our liking we were comfortable. We recommend this cute and cozy place and we would return despite the few issues.

The location was great. The beds were pretty comfortable. The rest of the furniture was acceptable. If I had one complaint, it would be the general maintenance of the property. There were light fixtures, hanging from the ceiling, that needed to be reattached. There is no handrail to get into or out of the house, and several people commented on that. There are a couple of holes in the boards on the front steps. Overall, we had a wonderful time, but I would agree it is the quintessential rustic beach house. We had a pull several bikes out of the garage in order to find two that were rideable. The interior of the house was much better than exterior. We are Exterior just needs a little Lovin.

Older comfortable house. Great screened in porch. Outside could use some sprucing up but did not affect our stay.

We loved our week in your historic cottage. It was charming and comfortable and had everything you could want for a relaxing week at the beach!!

Loved the house and area. Location is great. You can walk to the beach and restaurants.
Inside is in good shape.
House needs some sprucing up outside and there is too much 'stuff' on the porch.
I would stay there again.

Location is great, about a 10 minute walk to the beach and to the Main Street with many bars, restaurants, and shops!
Home is as expected, nice little backyard for our pups to run around. Everything was clean, kitchen has everything you would need to cook!
Beach chairs, bikes, and wagon in the garage which is a nice perk.
Overall, great experience!

The weather was hideous and the owner tried to help us but the heating system did not turn on. We tried to make do with fireplace fired and the owner sent space heaters, but in the end he was great about refunding our money and we went home.

Two families stayed at the home between lacrosse tournaments in MD and DE. The location is great you can walk to the beach. There are many bikes to ride, and wagons to take your gear to the beach provided. The house is clean and was big enough to 4 adults and full sized teens. The host was responsive, and the experience was great.

This comfortable, nearly 100 year old cottage is truly a step back to the old days at the beach. Located on a quiet, street close the the beach, it was an easy walk for 70 year olds.
The washer and dryer ARE on the main floor and the kitchen is totally stocked with ample supplies.
It would have been nice if we could have opened some windows, especially upstairs. A truly relaxing vacation was enjoyed by all. I'd list it as one of my favorite spots.

Had all of the necessities. Outdoor shower was a bit dusty and bug-laden but functioning. Great proximity to beach and overall great location. Loved the bikes and puzzles. One of the upstairs rooms was pretty hot and TV was broken but we kept it cool enough w/ AC cranked. Front of house door handle kept falling off so kids were always worried about locking themselves out. Could use a bit of dusting off outside but overall a terrific place to stay. Gas stovetop is a bit tricky to get comfortable with. The ignitor malfunctions a bit. Fence doors must be rigged to stay closed so watch your pups when they are outside.

Older property with a bit of charm
Overall it was good, could have been a bit cleaner in the edges. Beds for us were a bit firm but some may like it. AC upstairs does not match the down stairs.

We loved the area and the house was in a perfect location. Walking dogs along Silver Lake (which was very close) and on the Boardwalk (2 very long blocks away) was our daily routine. We loved it.
4.6
Absolutely charming "Old Rehoboth" cottage. Loved that the owner kept many period details and furnished it with period appropriate pieces and decor. The lot is private with a nice rear garden. We walked everywhere we wanted to go in downtown Rehoboth. It was March, but we still enjoyed the fabulous wrap-around screened porch. Well equipped kitchen, and altogether a comfortable place to stay. The online description is mostly accurate, but one of the downstairs bedrooms has a king bed, not a queen as described online, so we did have to go out and buy some king size sheets. Would absolutely stay here again!

This historic cottage had everything we needed for an off season getaway.
Lance was extremely responsive when we had trouble with the key and tv. He managed to solve all any issue we had both quickly and without fuss.
Even with very cool and breezy days, we enjoyed being able to walk easily to town and to the beach. The location is great.
This home was ideal for us. I so enjoyed it that I hope we will return there soon.

Okay. Bathrooms and kitchen were clean, but sand on floors and couple of beds. Stove top hardline dangerous as two burners did not dependably light. House very musty created allergic rraction for 2 of us. Shower tiny but we're all thin so ok for us.

I grew up going to Rehoboth 40 some years. We come back every year to continue the tradition for our child. This home is a short walk to the beach and great restaurants. It has everything you need for the trip to the beach or for a great dinner party staying in. Charming and cozy. The perfect setup up for a relaxing beach stay with family and friends. The house is historic which is part of what I loved it reminded my of the Renoboth I knew as a kid.

If you like the following things, you will enjoy this house:
* a big screened porch with lots of places to sit, a table to eat at, and breezes from two directions (it's wraparound porch!)
* old-house charm
* a firm mattress (choose the back 1st-floor bedroom) or a soft mattress (choose the front bedroom)
* a kitchen you can really cook in (it has everything you'd need, including a good coffee-maker, many serving bowls and pots & pans, knives that are actually sharp, and lots of dishes)
* a spacious & nicely-kept outdoor shower
* fat-tire bikes in all sizes (beach chairs too)
* proximity to the beach (two long blocks, a pleasant & easy walk)
* a lake nearby
We had a great stay. As others have mentioned, the AC works less well on the 2nd floor (where the twin beds are). We almost put in the window-unit that was resting on the floor of one upstairs bedroom, but we were able to keep it comfortable by cranking up the central AC and opening the 1st-floor doors to let in warm air for the 1st-floor people.
Our dog loved watching the rabbits from the screened porch. (Be careful letting your dog into the backyard unsupervised. There's a small gap in the fence that allowed our German shepherd to escape into the neighbor's yard). We thought there might be smells or wear-&-tear from previous dog tenants, but there was no evidence of that at all, the house looked and smelled fine. The house was nicely cleaned for our arrival and very comfortable for the 7 of us.
A big plus: the owner is very friendly and communicative. We had a couple of questions before and during our stay, and he answered them right away.

We enjoyed our week in Rehoboth Beach and the location of this house is perfect. Less than 10 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to the boardwalk. Having the bikes, wagon, beach toys, boogie boards were all terrific. The outdoor shower was a huge bonus that we loved. We also loved the screened in porch. The house is very nice in many ways but is ready for a refresh in paint and furniture. We all fully recognize that no doubt it will increase the rental cost but it would be worth it.

The cottage and porch were not very clean. A cabinet door was hanging of its hinges in the kitchen.
The parking permits were not there and we had to pay out of pocket for two days.
The screens were ripped in places on the porch.
When we contacted the broker (owner?) we did not get satisfaction until we called repeatedly.
The downstairs bathroom had no shower head. The outdoor shower was disgusting.
The good points were a nice neighborhood, easy walk to the beach, air conditioner worked. There were beach chairs and bikes available.

This is such a lovely historic cottage! There was plenty of space for our group of 7 (two couples, two single adults, and 1 dog). The kitchen was well supplied with plates, cups, cutlery, cooking equipment, etc., and the screened porch was the perfect place to relax and chat in the evenings. We had a couple of minor issues - no toilet paper on arrival and parking passes that never materialized - but over all we had a wonderful stay.

Our entire family loved the charm and amenities as well as the proximity to downtown and the beach- yet we enjoyed being on a quiet street. We will definitely rent again.
