The location was phenomenal. This is the prettiest place on earth. The size of the room was also amazing. The staff were very helpful arranging tours and boats.
The difficulty getting there, it would've been helpful to get a message a day or so before saying you need to arrange a private boat to access the property.

Club Tara is not that bad. Don’t believe in the worst reviews given by the other guests. First, it is not a five-star resort, don’t expect much in the facilities. There is an ongoing renovation during our visit, so expect improvements soon.
The resort has comfortable rooms where you can see the beauty of nature and a jacuzzi in each room. Their staff members are amiable, accommodating, and helpful. A special mention to Bonga. She was such a darling to us. You will not regret having her with you during your meal time. The foods we ordered were excellent. They have a good cook there.
The place is remote, so expect a bad mobile internet connection. But that will be the best time to unwind. Their location is perfect if you want to escape the noise and stress of the city. Just use their free surfboard or kayak because there are many places to explore. There is a part where it feels like you are in the middle of the jungle. It’s total bliss and peaceful out there.
Overall, we enjoyed our three-night stay at the resort. It’s worth the money.
For coffee lovers, better to bring your bag of beans or coffee makers if you are not a fan of instant coffee. Bring your water tumbler too. The water is only available at the restaurant. Light snacks are not available specially if you like chips.

It is secluded...
very clear water..
staff were accommodating
our room smelled like paint or lacquer, maybe it had been recently painted or varnished..The hot tub was non functional and not to clean..
The a/c is not the greatest....

The location is a real gem. We were there for two days and felt totally disconnected and relaxed. The staff is kind and friendly, and you can venture in the area surrounding the hotel as you please. There is nothing not to like.
Keep in mind that transportation there takes a bit of time and is a bit pricey.
Don’t expect a luxurious hotel, especially after it has been destroyed by the typhoon. It’s all about being secluded in a little paradise :)

The view and nature around the resort is exceptional. I like that there were kayaks you could use to explore.
The resort is quite battered after the tyfon. Electricity was not stable which meant that a/c was on and off. What I really don't understand is that, considering that what they really have going for them is the beautiful nature and the view from the rooms, yet they have an old rusting ship right in line of sight from the rooms which tarnishes that view. Really don't understand why they haven't moved the ship long ago.

literally nothing and this property should be removed from booking. it has been abandoned and the staff is struggling to survive. I don’t think I’ve ever been to an establishment that is more forgotten by ownership and it’s very uncomfortable because the only way in and out of this run down mess of a hotel is by boat.
there is no other way to describe this place then a safety hazard. DO NOT LET PEOPLE TRAVEL HERE

The Location is perfect! Staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean.
Sohoton Coves are litterally next to it!
Bear in mind: it is an old Resort that not only had its best days behind but also suffered severe damage from the last supertyphoon. The rooms are repaired and everything functions again, but there is visible damage and facilities are more basic than they previously used to be.
It takes 2 hours by private boat transfer to get there from Dapa. Prepare yourself to get wet, especially if it rains or if the sea is rough.
The Kayaks and SUPs are very basic and you won't get very far with them. If you're an active traveller, you will get bored after two days since you're kinda stuck there because of its remoteness.

This resort was nothing like advertised (the photos must be very outdated). The saving grace was the natural beauty of Sohoton Cove. The rooms are very old. Some of the wooden balcony broke away as soon as we touched it. The spa was broken, the toilet didn't work, the shower salt water (which is fine - but not advertised). The pool was empty. The kitchen is absolutely disgusting, dirty and smelly. In addition to this - there is smelly water pooling/seeping from the kitchen on to the ground surrounding the kitchen. As we are vegetarian, we braved ordering an omelette - but it smelled of animal fats so we could not bring ourselves to eat it. The rooms are not even worth a fraction of the price. To anyone who is going to stay here - bring your own snacks or food.

The views is nice
No water to use the toilet or to shower or to brush your teeth. Frozen food, no shop to buy snacks, takes 2 hours to get served, the bathtub is old and spews yellow water (when there is water). a/c unit way too small.for the room size so the room is hot.

Amazing location
There were cockroaches and many insects in the room.
Scarce food options and even they ran over of water.
Bad service, took 2 hours to get our dinner and 1 for breakfast.

Location is out of this world. Literally an oasis of tranquility
There is no food in this resort the little food they have in the menu is generally overpriced and far from tasty. If you decide to order there be prepared to wait for an hour at minimum. We usually waited 1.5h for any food. (They add 10% service charge for this "lightning fast" service) The water in shower and sink is salty so you might as well just go for a swim instead of showering. (Forget about hot water) The water in pool is also salty so again no point in going for a swim there. Facilities all over the place have seen their days of glory years ago and now most of them are rusty and weard out.

Beautiful, beautiful location, extremely wonderful and accommodating staff. Bright, large windows, free water activities, and discounted local tour
Felt sorry they're clearly still recovering from a devastating typhoon--obviously not their fault

The views are to die for. Awesome spa bath and room set up, and beds were perfect and lovely staff and customer service. I like how peaceful the resort is and completely away from the outside world (perfect during Covid times).
Needs a little modernisation/renovation and attention to details. Getting to and from the property is kinda expensive. I'm pretty sure they can do a better job arranging for cheaper boat transport.

The staff were very friendly and they helped us to arrange a lot of our tours including our late boat ride which initially was not going to happen since the place was pretty far. I think the upside to the area were the staff and the location. Honestly speaking, I was expecting the place to be a lot more than it was, I wasn’t expecting a lot but I think the place does have potential to grow into a better resort. It also probably went through the pandemic and not having much guests so there were a lot of things to improve on.
However I did really love the location and it was nice that the place was secluded and you could easily swim into the ocean or into the middle of the lagoon/seaview that it has and take plenty of photos and grow good memories from the sea. The location and the staff are what makes the place bearable. We’re not very picky people but i do feel as though they might encounter a few disappointed guests.
I do not discourage you though to come here, I just would like to point out that it is a well located place with very friendly staff! Just don’t expect much of the resorts ambiance. Although I would have to point out the view is amazing from the balcony really! just don’t expect 5 star, but the place is pretty decent just to stay in if you’d like to go around Socorro.
The staff really helped us arrange a lot of things so I was actually very happy, they even refunded us 500 pesos from the boatride that overcharged us on the first day. I think that kind of attitude does help us appreciate a lot of the simpler things and their hospitality is something I will not forget. Also the location was very near a lot of the sites in Socorro. I cannot deny though that the location is pretty picturesque which makes it really easy too to advertise. The views are perfect for a good rest and also great to take in after a long day.
Comparing it to all the instagram videos and other hyped up posts, the place is far from what is shown. Since the guests also typically know what they’re taking a photo of and editing is done so well really, i think many of the areas really needed upkeep. Again as mentioned earlier, i think it was really difficult on them too not to have much staff or maybe to have gone through the pandemic the past months.
The place really does have potential to grow should management be able to maintain the place. But our jacuzzi for instance had a hole and the actual jacuzzi nozzle broke on the first day, we also had the experience of not having to be able to buy anything from them. For example they didn’t have toiletries so if you will go here please bring your own toiletries, it’s also probably because it takes about 1 and a half hours to get to the resort from General Luna. It is pretty far from the rest of the city and the area, but very near places to visit around Soccoro.
most of the things i didn’t like weren’t really because they weren’t a nice resort, its just that I think there could be a lot of room for improvement especially it is one of the approved hotels under LGU to operate. We actually heard a customer complain the same away about how it seems like their expectations vs. reality really didn’t match. a lot of the paddle boards were also broken and not maintained. I think they really just have a maintenance issue since the place really was very spacious with a lot of things but maybe the pandemic hit them hard. We hope that they can improve the facilities so that the next guests wouldn’t feel the same way and really be able to appreciate the beauty of Socorro.

The views, the design of the rooms I felt like I’m in little maldives.
Shower is broken, & jacuzzi is a little bit old:) but’s it’s ok that was not important. The important is the view and how relaxing it is when you stay there.
