Room was massive. Complimentary breakfast roll. Parking outside. Great location and very friendly owners with great communication.
Pillows but that is down to personal preference.

The value for money is spectacular. I got a massive room, bed was comfortable, location excellent, and bonus was the bacon&egg roll i wasn't expecting for breakfast.

The welcome was exceptional, they were very friendly! We had to leave early for work so we let them know to not worry about the included breakfast which was a nice surprise to hear they do that. The lovely lady decided to offer a drink on the house as we would be missing the breakfast. A very nice gesture.
The mattress was a little uncomfortable you could feel the springs and it could definitely do with being updated, but other than that what we got was extremely satisfying for us.

Hannah was the best host great location and comfortable room.
Room wasn’t too warm although fan heater was supplied. Warm enough when in bed sleeping with cosy duvet. think because a fairly large room with two big windows.

The location is situated in Old Town and very close to Morrisons, Aldi, bars/restaurants and Turner ContemporaryGallery. All within 5 min walk. The room was actually a studio annex to the hotel with it's own private entrance, which was almost a self catering style which was cosy and clean. Bed was comfy and warm. The hosts are very friendly and helpful.
Being at the back of the hotel in an annex I did feel isolated. I thought I was getting a room within the hotel as per pictures shown. So it was a bit of a surprise on arrival. The studio was quirky and pleasant but the shower temperature did not get hot enough for me and on my final day there was no hot water to have a decent shower (it was shy of being lukewarm). The studio had it's own private entrance on a pavement, so could hear people walking by but it was quiet in the evenings.

Delightfully friendly owners who were keen to ensure a good stay. Accomodation was rustic but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows were thin and soft but an extra one was swiftly supplied on request. A delicious bacon and egg brioche roll was delivered for breakfast as well as a bottle of water. Tea, coffee, milk, sugar and fruit were supplied. There was a mini fridge freezer and a microwave oven.
The only heating was a small oil-filled radiator so it was a bit cold at night.

bus connections r great, and they do breakfast option everyday, they can cook dinners if required which i had every day good value for money, the hotel is cleaned everyday, Steve & Hannah r very kind, helpful pleasant people, nice to talk, very knowledgeable of the area and things that r happening in the areas around them. location is at the top of the beach a little walk to it and local to shops and town is very close, main bus line is a street behind but simple to find and use the loop bus takes you everywhere from margate bus station, Ramsgate to most local beaches within walking distances, most people are kind and very helpful.
the wet weather but maybe it was that time of year in end of September, but had most of the time very good dry weather.

Superb location over looking the Winter Gardens and beach. A short 5 minute walk to the old town and 10 minutes to attractions such as Dreamland. Free on street parking and we managed to bag a space virtually outside the guest house.
Our hosts Steve and Hannah gave us a great welcome and showed us straight to our rooms one of which had been upgraded from a single to a double at no extra charge. In fact they gave us a small discount which wasn't necessary and a pleasant surprise.
Our rooms were well sized one of them had a lovely sea view and the beds were very comfy.
Both rooms were en suite. We had an egg and bacon brioche brought to our room each morning and there was fruit and confectionary at the entrance of the guest where you could help yourself at no extra charge. There was also a kettle with tea and coffee in our rooms which were replenished daily.
Great value for money considering we stayed over a bank holiday weekend and most places were fully booked.
If you're looking for an "Instagram" type guest house then maybe this isn't for you, but it was perfect for our stay and purposes. I'd not hesitate to recommend The Bay Guest House and I'd definitely stay again.

It had a very cosy homy feeling. Even the single room was pretty airy. Location was great, the seaside walking trail was right across the street, and town-centre reachable in about 10 minute walk!

The couple who run this place are so lovely and helpful. They really want your time in Margate to be a great time. Loved the candy and fruit we could help ourselves to. A nice touch. A nice big room with a dining table for breakfast. I appreciated the vegetarian breakfast muffin. Thank you so much.
The room we had was a little bit tired. But we had a view across the road to the sea which was very nice.
