Excellent location. Spotless clean apartment and very helpful friendly staff.
Couldn’t really fault anything

Waking up to the family of kangaroos grazing in the nature strip was a delight and filled me with joy.
The location was perfect for beach access to walk and swim.
Due to the high usage of the pool, the quality and cleanliness of the water discouraged me from swimming.

Location was great and close to Home Beach, the road was slightly noisy during the day but not a problem. Very nice little shack which was fully equipped for cooking and a BBQ out on the patio. The koala in the tree was an added bonus! We will be back.
The ceiling fan was incredibly loud to the point that it needed to be switched off in order to sleep. Slightly pricy for what you got but this is not unusual for Straddie.

Completely separate beach "shack" was great for quiet and relaxing! Private little deck for us to watch the Koalas and Kangaroos and wallabies and kookuburras and Cerlews! Great kitchen, great shower water pressure! Short walk to 4 different food places. Also: foxtel! Wifi sorted out the lack of optus connectivity!

Location
Expected more. Small TV, 3 of us staying and only 2 towels. The third plate i got out to serve our dinner on was dirty. The fridge was fantastic, obviously new as no one bothered to remove the tape inside. The Dyson vacuum was on charge, but flat. Got woken up well before the sun came up Saturday early AM to a fountain of water spraying onto the back deck all over the outdoor seating. No bedside table in the second bedroom to put glasses & phone or book on. No fly screens on windows, so couldn’t have any fresh air ventilation. The inside lighting is shocking!!!!!!!
I looked closely at this place before booking. In its day it would have been good. It really needs updating.
Overpriced and ordinary we all thought. Will never stay here again. Lots of accommodation on the Island.

The beach opposite this dump.
The facility was crawling with insects in the beds, the lights, and in the fridge. There was active mould growing on the walls and the lamp shades. The mould was so bad mushrooms were sprouting on the building. We had dogs entering our property and attacking my children. I have extensive video evidence of all this. I raised the issue with the red headed lady at reception who told me it was provided "as-is". She also called me a brownie and refused to provide toilet paper for me and told me to buy my own. The bins were always overflowing with rubbish and wildlife would frquest there and becuae there is ZERO lighting you get attacked regularly when going to the bin. I spoke with other guests who did no have this experience. I believe VILLA50 is owned by a landlord who does not care about cleanliness, safety or customer service. I demand a FULL REFUND for providing a dangerous, pest infested building which would not pass the muster for rental properties. Also this is not a resort and should be renamed to MOTEL and charge $50 a night not $320. I also want compensation for my fuel, and stop over in Ballina. After 3 years our holiday was ruined by such a disgusting venue, racism and threat to our safety and lives. I will provide the videos next week here online unless mangement wants to treat me like a human being and recognise they just destroyed an working-class Australian family's holiday.

Beach shack was a neat little stay, in a great location, with friendly staff.
Gym facilities need to be renewed as they are very old and don't function very well - The cable machine that is. It is also very small. Wifi in rooms for phones was temperamental.

I requested a flower for my partner as it was her birthday. The staff left a nice native on the bed. Much appreciated.
Nothing that I can think of.

Great location, and great laidback vibe. Plenty of space to spread out and relax, and an easy walk to the beach.
Can be tricky to get around the island without a car - though there is bike hire just down the road.

Beautiful peaceful bush setting right across the road from the beach.
