Beautiful surroundings. This place had everything you could ask for! The shower was awesome.
Although the Peacocks are lovely to look at and to have around the grounds, they were very noisy and frequently tap danced on our Lodge roof....this was only minor issue for Us but could cause issues for others.
WIFI was intermittent, but we weren't there much for it to bother Us.

Pleasant surroundings and good central location , lovely shower room
Noise from the Rushpool Hotel behind, quite dark inside lodge, not many cooking utensils seemed a bit dated
4.5
location, and everything else except bed size
bed size was a little too narrow for comfort. internet too unstable - couldn’t even use to check surrounding area and weather
5.0
The setting of the lodge and wildlife. The design and comfort of the lodge. Ideal place to escape the rat race of life. Ideal for the dog too.
3.5
The location of the lodge was lovely and quiet, amenities were excellent, nice basket on arrival including a treat for the dog.
On arrival there was dog hair on the sofa, we hoovered and removed the cushions and found crisps and a covid mask under cushion, not good as we were told due to covid cleaning we couldn't get the keys until 4pm. The bed was very uncomfortable, so much so, that we went out and purchased a memory foam topper for the week. (my recommendation would be to buy a new, good mattress).

Unable to walk into saltburn had to use taxus all the time, which were available

The cabin was clean and spacious for 2 adults quiet location lovely scenery and very peaceful speacilly with the rushpool hall view and the friendly peacocks 😊 loved it definitely booking again 😁
The only negative is that the mattress was very uncomfortable and felt the springs through it. Didn't see any staff to say if were helpful but all the emails etc was useful and all we needed

We arrived late afternoon ready for a cup o tea after our long drive. The 12 or so Lodges at Rushpool are sited around and oval green with patches of lawn in front of each lodge. All the lawns are well mown and very tidy. The key instructions were easy and within minutes we were in and the kettle was on. We’d brought our own tea and coffee but we needn’t have bothered. There to greet us was a small basket containing tea, coffee, milk, sugar, biscuits and a bottle of local blueberry wine. What a lovely idea. That bottle didn’t last long!
The kitchen was modern and well appointed and contained all crockery, pots and pans and cutlery.
The bathroom again was modern and clean with a wet-room shower.
Lounge had a comfortable sofa and a digital tv with Netflix
Bed was comfortable and bedroom had a built-in sliding door wardrobe.
The Lodge had full central heating and instant hot water.
Outside there were plenty of walks in the wonderful grounds of Rushpool Hall and if you don’t mind getting your feet wet, fording the river, you can walk to the beach of Saltburn-By-The-Sea in twenty minutes.
We loved Foxglove Lodge and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.
Oh and I forgot to mention the Peacock and Peahen that live in the grounds and spend their days around the lodges. Beautiful birds.
If there was one thing it was the dodgy sound on the tv. So not much then.

The tranquil and relaxing setting
Unable to walk into Saltburn via woodland trail and road is unsafe to walk on?? Taxis needed if visiting Saltburn for food/drink etc
