I will never stay at this hotel again

Their staff, people's behavior, the food—everything is terrible. People are not professional and not knowledgeable.

Clean, decent standards, family friendly

It was family friendly and staff were supoer friendly and courteous. I really enjoyed dinning there and having a couple beers in the bar by the second floor. Super close to the airport which was what I needed. Standards were high enough, I refused going to cheaper places because I needed somewhere safe and clean for my family, and they met my expectations for having spent that extra buck.

Not much to do around, it didnt bother me because all I wanted was a clean and comfortable bed to change flights between days. I had a stroll around, I was back in reception in less than 10 minutes. No biggie.

Great choice next to the Kolkata Airport

I stayed at the Ethnotel four different times during my most recent trip to this area of Asia. Because its location is so convenient to the Kolkata Airport, it worked brilliantly as a hub to come back and forth to. The great hotel staff were easy to communicate with, always helpful, and exceptionally kind. A special shoutout to Mr Joy, the hotel driver, who was always able to spot me at the curb for the airport to hotel transfers. Although technically across the street from airport, this isn't anything you'd want to walk since the road is pretty circuitous. You need to arrange a transfer. My rooms were always immaculately clean with strong a/c and good plumbing. Decor wise, yes, the rooms perhaps need to be updated, but the price is right and everything worked. No complaints whatsoever. Room service was good as well as the buffet breakfast in the dining room. I was pleased with everything and everyone here!

Nice Short Stay Close to the Airport with Very Good Breakfast!

1. Location near the airport. 2. Very good elaborate hot breakfast! If I go back, will be going back for the breakfast! :) 3. Reasonably professional staff. 4. Provided us a larger room.

1. In general it is clean; but it could improve - say in the bathroom door/ floor corners, handles. Towels are in general clean, but still you can understand that some of these were quite old and used for years (some were a bit smelly) - they should change these periodically. Moreover, some of the fixtures are not fixed properly or falling apart.

Beware of ETHNOTEL KOLKATA AIRPORT

Almost nothing.

Reception was extremely non-cooperating, nearly harrassing us to the limit. Issue was a 5 year old child with an American passport. They demanded OCI card. When a soft copy of 1st page of the card was given, they demanded 2nd page. Are they immigration officers ?? Too, too poor customer handling. The lock of the room was broken, and they took an hour to mend.

Superb

After having an issue with Indian customs with our baggage (they took our bags) we needed to stay close by to the airport to be able to retrieve them before traveling to our destination. We stayed here for two days while waiting. Grateful for a 24/7 restaurant that provided food. Nothing overly flashy but it provided exactly what we needed for a couple days before we got our bags back.

Not a fault of their own, but my first time in India... hotel is on major road and given Indian driving styles, you'll hear car horns honking all night long. Good luck sleeping.

for pick up and drop off good place. room fair. i had better room in kerala in this value

inside hotel good outside pollution.. taxi people are rude and careless driving.
