Emplacement, et hotel superbe

We stayed in the "family suite" on the top floor, you take a flight of steps for the final access. The room was huge with a living area, two sleeping areas (no door between sleeping areas but private otherwise) and two ante rooms. View of the port and the sea from the dormer windows. Good breakfast served for 25 EU. Extraordinary location, city parking garage 3.5 blocks away, public elevator down to the harbor level just across from the hotel entrance. Ample dining. and bars at hotel level with stunning views of the harbor and sea.

Un merveilleux hôtel dans un emplacement exceptionnel.
Un accueil attentionné et chaleureux.
Très belle chambre, avec une vue sublime.
Des sachets de tisane dans la chambre seraient bienvenus.

The location was perfect as was the view of the sea from our balcony.
The pool was heavily chlorinated.

Location was nice next to Bastia city
Rennovation needed, humidity on rooms (visible mold), spa needs to repaired(saunas were closed), breakfast overpriced( no fruits or vegetables), kitchen quality was awful(e.g. burned potatoes and overcooked meat). not worth of value.

Citadel location and great staff
4.5
Location is beautiful, views are breathtaking. Lots of restaurants nearby, and the lift to the promenade is super convenient. Rooms are very spacious and bathrooms also very generously proportioned. We loved our set of rooms. They were beautiful. Loved the little touches in the bathrooms and it was a lovely place to return to everyday in the evenings. Citadelle parking is a very short walk away and hence logistically it was very convenient.
It is a bit of a walk from the closest car drop off points and nobody helps with luggage. Our rooms had a very convenient small gate next to it, which apparently due to an internal miscommunication was left open. We hence used that gate to step out a few times. For security reasons this gate was locked a few days into our stay and the bespectacled lady who communicated this to us was unpleasant to the point of rude. Totally understandable to want to close the gate, just manner of communication was off. She always seemed very cheerful and smiley with other guests, just not us. The other staff was wonderful and warm. There was a mixup with our car pickup organised by the hotel on the day we were leaving and it was a bit stressful since it was raining, but we made it to the airport in time.

I was disappointed with the room . It was a bit shabby and we had to carry our luggage up a flight of stairs
I expected a bit better

We spent few nights at the hotel as a part of our honeymoon. The hotel was everything we had hoped for. Our bedroom was large and had an amazing view over the city and the harbour. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was great. The staff were super friendly and helpful. There are nice restaurants close by, but we also really liked to grab a drink at the terrace of the hotel to enjoy the view. I would stay here again!
If I had to think of anything I didn't like, I would maybe say that the pool has seen better days.

The location was exceptional. The dining terrace had wonderful views. The staff were highly professional and warm. Food excellent.
Noise from rock moving works opposite so couldn't sit out on balcony so I think we should not have been charged for a balcony room. The room was nice but needed more furniture especially in the bathroom.

Marvellous views on the harbour and Bastia from the citadel.
You can’t park your car near the hotel, so be prepared to cary your luggage up to the citadel.

fabulous location. superb view of the marina and harbour
we were on the top floor and lift only went to second so a bit of a climb with the bags

A fantastic view, newly renovated hotel, nice room with a comfortable bed. SPA is free and we enjoyed sauna and little pool. We were staying in the top floor room and we had one of the most fascinating views including the sun rise in the morning. The bathroom is big and a direct view to the sea.
To the city centre it is about 7-10min walk and to the mini beach it is about 10min walk. Surrounding is beautiful and covered with lots of restaurants. 5min walk to a mini supermarket and a pastry caffe while Pizzeria takeaway is 7-8min walk further down on the road.
It would have been great if they had a gym. But we used to run just outside by the beach and was beautiful in the morning.

There's nobody to help carrying luggage's, and there's a lot of stairs. The breakfast place was really hot and sunny.

Nice location, in the middle of the old Citadel, overlooking the harbour.
Outdoor elevator down to the harbour
Comfortable beds
Room was OK, the carpet was dirty and the floor uneven. There was mildew in the shower and no proper shower stall, so water was everywhere.
Pool/Spa area jaded, needs some TLC, it´s subterranean, so no daylight.
When we got to breakfast, there weren‘t any tables in the shade, so we had to move one ourselves. Choice at breakfast minimal, fruit only as a fruit salad or whole apples and oranges.
Citadel itself is a bit dead.

Gorgeous views, charming terrace, and incredibly friendly and attentive staff.
It was impossible to find! It was unclear how to navigate to it and truly impossible to drive near it. We had to abandon our car in a parking garage and set off on foot, luggage in tow. We had taken the ferry from Nice and felt it took almost the same amount of time (and more effort) to get from the ferry dock to the hotel front entrance!
4.5
The staff are extremely professional, welcoming and friendly. They were even able to decipher my rudimentary French, which takes some skill!
The hotel is classy, without being pretentious. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the location perfect, and the views stunning. You couldn't ask for a better location for a stay in Bastia, being close enough to easily access some great restaurants, but distant enough to avoid the clamour of the harbourfront. All-in-all, a perfect stay!
The floor in our room was a bit uneven and indented, which really should be having the carpet lifted and surface remediated. Not a big issue, but one that you don't expect in a hotel of this quality.
Also, and again minor, after travelling for weeks the provision of a retractable drying line installed in the bathroom would have been welcome.
Be aware too that parking is not available. There is however an excellent public carpark about 200 metres away, which made it fairly easy to transport our luggage from and to, and the carpark is modestly priced at €12.80/day.
