Location, facilities, food & staff.
4.3
Breakfast and food in general was good and the staff were brilliant. The location was very good and central.
Parking can be an issue although we discovered a field down the road which was good value!
4.3
Great location & staff were lovely.
Bed was too small.
Having to get fresh milk for tea/coffee was a bit of a nuisance tbh - much as fresh milk is nice, having to queue on a busy day just to have a brew wasn’t ideal, I would’ve been happy with the mini cartons.
Toilet seat was loose.
4.3
Location fab and room had everything you would need
The room was very hot as no windows that could open.
4.3
We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the hotel staff.
The lack of parking at the hotel was an issue, but not insurmountable.
4.3
The property was the perfect location for us. Lovely inside, room was clean. One of the BEST fillet steaks we’ve ever had. The meal was 10/10.
The room was uncomfortably hot. That was including the fan being on and windows open. For being one of the best rooms in the hotel they really need something additional to cool the room down. Barely slept due to this, and My dog pacing as he was so hot unable to cool himself down. Also whilst in shower the glass door fell off when closing it, these things happen. Made staff aware very apologetic
4.3
The room was very comfortable with a good ensuite and nice view over the village. Breakfast was great and the staff were friendly. We were only staying for a pit stop on a long journey but would like to return.
There was no lift up to the room - not a problem for us but worth pointing out for others. Otherwise everything was great!

Breakfast and the general service
The room was hot on a night

Lovely room. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent
It was cold. The bedroom was cool and so was the bar, in the evening
4.3
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were friendly, approachable and helpful.
Limited evening menu although appreciate that this was an off season stay and therefore the menu may have been reduced because of this.
4.3
The residents lounge was a lovely touch. All the staff were amazing. The service was fantastic. Breakfast was great and a veggie breakfast too. Menu was great and food lovely. Room was great and fantastic sized bathroom. Fresh milk in the room is a great touch. The view and outlook of the lake is super. Would highly recommend.
One of the two veggie options on the menu wasn’t available, however, an alternative was offered so all good.
4.3
Great breakfast, very friendly and helpful staff, good service! Handy location, we’ll be back!
Got parked ok but it is restricted, although there are alternatives to be fair I believe.

The staff were so welcoming and helpful from start to finish. The Crown Inn, is well located and is very charming. An excellent combination of traditional with a modern twist. The food was excellent, especially the breakfast. We stayed in room 17 which was on the top floor and had beautiful views of the lake. All in all, our stay was everything we could have wished for and we will definitely be back.

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely and ate in the restaurant one evening which was also lovely. Great location.
Only downside was we were in room right at the top of the stairs and the noise was constant people coming in and out and down stairs.
4.3
Very friendly accommodating staff. Lovely room and food

Loved absolutely everything, all the staff were fantastic, came 8th to the 12th for my birthday week, we stayed in room 4. So cosey and warm. Didn't want to check out this morning. My partner also surprised me by proposing to me at the hotel. Was perfect. The food was out of this world.
Loved evrything!
4.3
Lovely pub in a fantastic location. Staff were so helpful and friendly.
The room was so hot, the staff had put a fan in the room, but unfortunately it was still really, really hot. However saying that we would still stay again as it was such a lovely place.

A very enjoyable experience. I was there to swim Lake Ullswater for a big event, so timings were important and the hosts were flexible and adaptable to my needs. A twin room, which suited our needs, was spacious and comfy. Staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, food was fabulous and hospitality wonderful. Super breakfast which is included in the room price. Location was perfect for my event needs, but as a general lakes visitor, would recommend. Thank you.
Nothing at all. Just some small recommendations. As we had a disabled person room, which was absolutely fine. Spacious and comfy. Big glass window looking out onto the street on the ground floor had a big inside curtain to cover the window and the door for privacy. Would suggest a blind for the glass so privacy could be maintained and keep the room light. Curtain was great at night as it was a black out curtain. Weather was terrible so an entrance mat to wipe your feet/wheels of your chair before coming into the room otherwise you bring the outside in with you. Just some ideas to make it even better.

Ideal location, small double was super small room 9, breakfast is super great choice, 1st morning staff seemed to be at sixes and sevens following morning a lot better. Noise in other rooms travel, evening food menu good but quite pricey but saying that alm the other places are too.
Rooms noisey , no parking, even though we were resident not able to charge meals and extras back to room
4.3
The room was amazing with a beautiful view. The staff were friendly and welcoming. They were completely honest about a situation in the hotel which could have been problematic but was fine as they offered solutions. The food was amazing and we hope next time we go we can make the most of the rest of the menu!
Parking is limited and difficult to get in.
4.3
Comfy bed. Lovely decor. Friendly helpful staff.
Breakfast eggs were overcooked, fried eggs and eggs benedict!

Dinner menu very poor, most items not even available
