The location is good
The breakfast is really basic. (If one can use the chance and try out a local cousin during the stay, this is not a right address. Although probably ok-isch for young people). Room not clean. Towels not changed, unless requested.
So, overall average performance considering the relatively affordable price. But personally would spent a bit more to have better standard.

The staff are wonderful, friendly, polite and accommodating , our room was gorgeous and the pool is very refreshing after days exploring Bangkok- the Duklong restaurant which is run by Lamphu Tree consistently served the best food and it’s a fabulous location in the heart of the old town by the canal. Great value for money with delicious breakfast included. We’ll be back for sure.
Nothing except slightly hard to find, taxi driver got a bit confused.

Personeel was super vriendelijk. Accomodatie iets verouderd, maar prijs-kwaliteit prima
De douche was heel erg klein, maar verder alles prima

Excellent quiet location but close to hustle bustle if kho San road. We have beautifully decorated room on top floor with lovely city views. Bathroom was huge and aircon did the job. Basic breakfast, what you would expect for low price. Excellent value for money. Nice pool. Friendly staff. All you need for a short stay in Bangkok. I will stay at this small boutique hotel again.
Rooms are not completely sound proof but as location is quiet just some car noise. I am a light sleeper and it was just fine.

Shower in the room was not hot

Very welcoming staff, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The hotel is within walking distance of a lot of the sights of Bangkok.
The breakfast was mediocre and very expensive in comparison with other places nearby.

Perfect location, ambiance, staff and buffet breakfast! Would definitely return.
The air-conditioning in the room wasn’t efficient enough.

This place suited us perfectly. It’s great value.
I love old style south East Asian resorts and hotels with wood carvings & wood everywhere… I also love mid-century design & asthetics, and this place is a well preserved example of both. Even the lift looks like it’s authentic early 1960’s
But important aspects have had an upgrade (like the bathrooms etc). I think we got one of the bigger rooms, at the very top of the building. The view was great. It had a little balcony. It was really comfortable and clean.
The bar only sells beer & water… but at a pretty reasonable price… that’s all you need really.
There’s a couple of great restaurants on the riverside walkway out front of the hotel, & sone very cheap convenience store / someone’s front room doubling as a shop.
It’s a great area, nice to have a river in front of the hotel instead of a noisy street… but then, you’re pretty close to some of the busiest, party spots etc
This is great value for money if you want a cheap, central hotel.
Just be aware that if you book a room at the very top (level 5), you will have to take the stairs for the last flight, as the elevator only goes to level 4. That was fine for us, but might not suit everyone.

Nice hotel
The room was nice with a good view on Bangkok
Breakfast could be more furnished but it is good quality
A bit hot in the room and the system with the card/electricity makes more complicated to cool

The location was amazing, the rooms were clean and comfortable and staff very helpful.
I was able to store my luggage and sit in the garden until my evening departure. Recommend

Tremendous value for comfortable stay in old Bangkok. Strong effective AC in room, balcony overlooks canal, comfortable chairs around pool area, small pergola at pool area. Coffee sachets and kettle in room. Love the hardwood flooring in shower area. Self regulated instant water heater in shower stall. Water flow through this is okay, not as strong as if directly from the main pipes. About 10 mins walk to Khaosan Street.

Arriving at night ,I found Lamphu Treehouse just after the Wan Chat bridge on the left,
down some stairs to a lovely canal setting and a couple of local restaurants.
The location is about 10 minute walk from Khao San road area.
To get there,I turned right after leaving LamphuT.H. and after going past 2 or 3 canal bridges, turn left and follow to khao san/soi rambuttri.
The rooms were lovely and clean, with crisp clean sheets on the bed,
good mattress and outside sliding doors,
a small balcony.
The complimentary tea or coffee and a banana in the morning was a nice touch.
It's a beautiful boutique Thai style teak building with an outside garden setting with a pool.
I enjoyed my stay there and would hope one day to stay at Lamphu treehouse, again.
It is really hard to find fault with my stay there.I didn't try the breakfast ,so can't really comment.

Beautiful hotel in a quiet but still central location right at the canal. Staff was super friendly and helpful at any times! Also very close to great restaurants (e.g. “The Family” right next door), 7-Eleven, ATM, bars, etc.
The pool was also very nice and refreshing! Our room was clean and comfortable as well.
Just a very small thing: chairs on the balcony would have been nice. However, we also did not ask for it. Probably staff would have found a way to make it possible.

Good location, clean, reasonable price, free wifi,
My staying at the hotel was 9 nights and on the 3rd day into my staying I got asked by a staff at the reception to pay for my staying. His name is Kritt if my memory is correct. His facial expression was so unfriendly. I had no idea why he asked me to pay after 3 days and why he had such an unpleaseant attitude. He was friendly on the 1st day and it was when he saw us in the morning and said "the hotel has all you can eat breakfast and it is 300 baht per person". I know he tried to sell us the breakfast and 300 baht was ok but my Mother can't eat Western breakfast which includes cereal, toasts, butter, jam, etc...she is purely a traditional country person who has never been overseas before nor eaten anything too diffetent from what she normaly eats. We are Asian coming from a neighbouring country. I tried to explain to him that. I am not sure if he got my message but still he insisted on showing me the breakfast display and said free coffee and tea. I saw some instant Nestle coffee and tea sachets on a table with a sign saying Complimentary and some other guests were helping themselves. I noticed they only had coffee but not eating breakfast. The complimentary coffee and tea were on seperate table far away from the breakfast buffet.
I thought my Mother would like some coffee because she drinks coffee quite often at home. So I made her a cup of coffee. Later on that day we had 2 more coffees. I wonder if that was the reason why he was so not happy with us.
Another thing we didn't like is the wash basin's down pipe was leaking a lot. The leaking is not new because I saw they had tried to fix it before by apllying plumping gel or silicon around the pipe to stop it from leaking but it didn't fix the problem.

Great location, close to everything and at the same time, a relaxed and quiet place. Clean. The pool is thanked after a day on the streets.
The property should inform about his restaurant. We realised on the last day that it exists and it’s really good.

Central location in an authentic and quiet river side alley. Large and comfortable rooms.
No breakfast available on premises, however they have a sister café 2 min walk on the river side.

Perfect location, a serene spot on the water which is quiet but easy to get to the hustle and bustle if that's what you want. Amazing value for money, friendly staff and a small but lovely pool and outdoor area which really doesn't feel like the middle of a city.
The rooms are a bit older than they look in the photos, the bathroom is basic and the beds are quite hard, for the price though it's an amazing value hotel.
