Big spaces , top notch service , it was a delight to come back and spend some time in peace after a big hike to Teide !

A slightly different comment
My late and greatest love of all times in every way, because she is studying medicine at Harvard, and not only that! I quote:
"Arthur, did you know that the Canary Islands are not only a beautiful tourist destination but also an autonomous community of Spain? It's fascinating how these islands have their own administration and unique cultural identity. I can only imagine the vibrant mix of people from different countries residing there."
"As we embark on this journey together, Arthur, let our love be as diverse and rich as the multicultural tapestry found in the Canary Islands. Let us celebrate our differences while embracing what brings us closer. Just like these islands hold hidden treasures waiting to be discovered by curious souls like ours - may our love story continue to unfold with excitement and endless possibilities."

My stay at Drago Hostel was much better than expectet. The Hostel is very clean. The Staff cleaning every day, so you find nowhere dirt.
The Hostel has everything you need. Enough space in the Kitchen with perfect equipment. Every room has a box in the fridge where you can keep your food. The Hostel has a big roofgarden with a nice view on the sea or the pico de teide. Furthermore there is a washing service and you get a good breakfast.
The Staff is really nice. Very friendly people so you will love to hang out with them for having a good conversation or playing cards etc. (If you want). And the food they made like breakfast or dinner (selfmade cake, Humus, Pizza for example) is awesome.
So i can fully recommend this place 👍🏻

Fresh Home baked cakes every day!
Everything was fine, but I am not from the United States 🤨 you got that very wrong booking.com

It was by far the best hostel experience we've ever had. Everything was very clean and we enjoyed the rooftop view. Special thanks to Franco, he even prepared a glutenfree breakfast for me and for the others he made homemade bread and cake, which I heard were really good.

the guys woking there have been super nice, the price is reasonable and they have enough small private rooms. the terrace was very nice especially in the evening, breakfast and towels ❤️
no window in the room, the kitchen could be more clean, the tissue to dry the dishes was little but disgusting -) its little bit far from the centre

Everything was good. Bed was comfortable. There is space where you can lock your stuff, but you have to have your own lock
I did not like ladder to second floor bed, not comfortable to climb. But for one night its ok

1. Breakfast was on the terrace and delicious. A variety of home made bread and hummus were available.
2. The beds had privacy curtains, plug sockets.
3. Automatically invited to WhatsApp group for group activities - although this was for all Nest hostels on the island. There were no replies from this hostel on this WhatsApp group - just advertising. But other hostellers could interact.
1. There was no airport shuttle. We contacted the hostel 2 days before about this via booking.com, their email, and via telephone, but could not get through. We received a message two days later, on the day of our flight, airport shuttle was unavailable. We had to modify our car hire plans last minute at extra cost
2. The jacuzzi was “not broken”, but it had no hot water!
3. One of the two fridges were broken
4. One of the two stoves were broken
5. One of the kettles was broken, and the other one leaked and had to be boiled over the sink.
6. There were only 2 toilets for approximately 16 beds.
7. The staff were lovely, but many did not know places to go in the area.

I very liked this place. There's near the months the landscape is beautiful, it's close the masca, and the some little city as the beach and the natural piscina.
The staff is very good, they give the suggest the place for to visit
The bathroom wasn't well cleaned.

Quiet hostel with a good breakfast a lot of homemade dishes from the staff. Nice location close to the city center.
The staff could be a bit more friendly and active.

The bed was comfortable, the room was clean and breakfast (which included veggie options and homemade bread and cake!) was included. The staff were absolutely lovely. I spent time chatting to them as well as the other travellers from around the world. There is a WhatsApp group which arranges day trips and activities. I signed up for two: Masca and Teide National Park with Andrea, and had a blast with both groups.
Some of the kitchen equipment needs fixing. Managed to get round it by cooking later but could see this being a problem when more than two people want to cook at the same time.

amazing breakfast at the rooftop

spacious rooms, nice outdoor area, pretty good breakfast.
upstairs bathroom was dirty, there was a funky smell everywhere and the location is far off from where the fun happens.

Great place to stay for just a night or longer. The breakfast is really good and everything was clean.

Pros: very stable bed, new furniture, it was very clean, there were some other travelers (but not to many.. what I prefer), the volunteers were good spanish speakers
neutral: it's a little steep walk (20-25 min from the main bus station) to the hostel and the buses go there like every half hour

very hospitable people,
cheap even includes breakfast,
nice terrace.

Great personnel. We were allowed to check-in earlier and there was no issue with leaving a luggage also after check-out. Convenient access by code/key. Nice patio, where you can sit and eat/chill.
Very clean room and nice bathroom.
Nice feature of breakfast you can eat together on the top patio.
Good for a 1-2 nights stay on you trip for reasonable price.
Our room was an "inside room" - the only window was going out to the corridor. There was no other vent possibility (no fan/ AC). Pillow and bad were not comfy.
Not so close to the center (very steep walk up), but it is close enough for a short stay.
You need to remember that this is the hostel - with all it's positives and negatives ;)

The Owner (Herman) is a very nice and caring guy. If you are into hiking you should definitely book the trip to teide peak with him!
Icod de los vinos is a bit boring^^

Rooftop view Teide mountain very beautiful.

Nice and friendly volunteers, every morning freshly baked home-made bread. Generally good breakfast.
Good bus connection to Chinyero.
Almost no guests at the time when I stayed there, not very social for a single traveller. Apparently it's often like this.
Location is pretty far from the main bus station, and a hard 20 min hike up hill.
Most common areas are on the rooftop, it gets pretty cold there in the evening. Inside is no nice place to hang out.
The whirlpool on the rooftop ist just for the nice pictures. It's probably hardly used.
It was pretty dirty, some areas have obviously never been cleaned. That goes for the bathrooms as for the dormitory.
Dishes were disgusting, I had to wash everything before using it.

good breakfast - delicious hummus and fresh smoothies. good value for money
our room with a private bathroom was a bit strange, like a little house inside a house. the windows were facing the inside of the house and when someone turn on the lights, there were no blinds (only coloured glass) so we could see it and it was very disturbing (also at night). naturally we also were not able to open the windows or get some fresh air. we also heard quite clearly the preparation of breakfast (smoothies..) and other noises from the kitchen.
6.0 / 10.0
helpfulness of the staff, generous breakfast (homemade cakes!), filtered tap water
No hot water for the shower (I hope it was a problem of the day), noisy room (overlooking the street)
7.0 / 10.0
the staff, the breakfast, the rooftop
the room is humid and a little bit cold. bed sheets are rough. the bathroom is not ventilated, there is just a window to the shared bathroom.

The stuff was very nice and helpful. Always cheerful and laughing. Baking some dessert almost daily. Met some great people in the hostel, as well.
I stayed in a private room. Small one, no heat, extremely cold during the night, slept with two blankets on, doesn't have an outside window. Next to the kitchen. Can be loud sometimes. No available day trips of the ones mentioned because of holidays.
9.0 / 10.0
Nice building, rooftop terrace, good kitchen and great breakfast! It's about a 20-minute walk to the "famous" dragon-blood tree and old town area.
8.0 / 10.0
Very cheap, great breakfast, beds had privacy curtains, polite staff with excellent English and no faff.
Outdoor furniture a little tired but now I’m being really picky - it was still nice.
