Always enjoy our stay. Great time, good value.

Really nice being so close to the river, the back patio/lawn was a great place to BBQ and relax. It was nice being able to ride bikes along the river path. The house has ~5 bikes in total, but a couple had some maintenance issues and were unrideable. The marina wasn't too far, and we had a nice night there with live music and food trucks. We also got in a very nice afternoon at SHARC with the included passes. The interior of the house was nice, but a bit on the dated side. There's no A/C, which was concerning for us at the height of summer, but opening up all the windows really cooled the place down in the evenings. Probably the biggest hit for the kids was the ping pong table, I had a great time destroying my nephews. Also the hot tub was really nice, though beware of the mosquitos!

We loved the fully equipped kitchen, games, scooters and ping pong. The blend of rustic art with modern touches added elegance to the home. It could not have been a more perfect location for our family gathering with multi generations.

there was a water leak from the upstairs bathroom that came down the light fixture in kitchen. couldn't take a bath or water would come out of the light.

Two big issues for our group. First, this home is not safe for toddlers. The stair railings have wide gaps and the second floor living area overhangs the first floor with railings that also have huge gaps, in which a small child could easily fall through. We had to keep a constant eye on the toddlers in our group and hover over them--not fun when you're trying to relax on vacation. I've suggested that this be clearly reflected in the listing description. Also, the heating system is old and the temperatures in the bedrooms are all over the place. Some of the rooms get very warm and others don't get warm at all. One room didn't have a vent and was so cold we ended up not using it. We ended our trip a day early.

Overall, the house was great and well appointed. The couch in the picture has been replaced with a cozy one to curl up on with a fire going. The hot tub was great, but out in the open and no privacy fencing. The squirrels were fun to watch.

Really wanted to like this place. It's in a great spot with a pretty view. The layout is functional for groups. We liked it. But the carpet is stained in places upstairs, the kitchen cabinets are worn, the dishwasher is not attached to the cabinet and tries to fall out when you open it. And the mattresses are worn out, no support. We had 2 sleepless nights. I contacted Vacasa to ask how that could make it right. No reply. We won't be back.

The day upon arrival there were cobwebs in the dining area, sticky counters and cupboards, cobwebs near the fireplace, dead flies in the window sil. The screens upstairs in the bedroom don’t have a good seal so all the tiny bugs and nats covered our walls. This was terrible considering the house has no air conditioning and it’s vital in the summer months to leave the windows open to allow the house to cool down overnight. The TV wouldn’t stream and unable to watch tv in the living room. Another disappointment was while cooking on the stove only one burner worked. Not the most ideal when cooking for seven. I also learned the dishwasher is NOT secure and the whole load of dishes tipped forward landing on my foot!!! I also found hand washing dishes was better than running the dishwasher, after 2 cycles the dishes were still visibly not clean and the dishwasher didn’t even dissolve the soap. The house itself could use updating but that was the least of my concerns. Also the pond out back I thought we would be able to conveniently fish from was more like a green sludge of gross. The positive was the river was just a very short walk from the house .

The best part of this place is the quiet location that backs up to Sun River. Plenty of deck space which was a nice place to hang out. The house definitely needs some updating (bathrooms and kitchen especially…one of the stove burners doesn’t work and the bathroom downstairs is really worn) but it was a decent place for kids to have room to play. They loved the ping pong table in the garage. Biggest downside was the lack of air conditioning for those hot Sunriver days and nights. Even with fans in every room going it was really hot until early morning. Overall an ok place for a couple of days.

The basic house is beautiful architecture. It is showing wear though. The dishwasher is not attached and rips over on your feet. The downstairs bathroom counter is in such terrible shape it can’t be cleaned and won’t want to put your toothbrush down on it. Also, I am tall and the antique bed frame downstairs was a bit short and rickety, though beautiful. The cobwebs in the garage are impressive. But, the hot tub works, the kitchen is well supplied, the washer and dryer were clean and worked well, the wildlife is nice, and it was a great base for exploring central Oregon!

Three generations gathered at this comfortable home. We enjoyed the bikes, the hot tub, the comfortable beds, the passes to the Shark swimming pool and the lay out of the house - we all had our own space when needed. While there is no air conditioning, we were quite pleased at how quickly the house cooled down in the evening.
The kitchen was very complete but would suggest watching out for the dishwasher door- it falls open and three of us have bruised to show how fast it drops. The stove was slow to heat up but we were told a new one was being put in soon. There was plenty of kitchen supplies for all our cooking needs.
Bring bug spray if plan to be outside after dark as there are lots of mosquitoes out this summer.
We hope to come back next summer -the place was that good!

Enjoyable
The pool was closed and the grandkids were very disappointed. Would have been nice to know as you advertise it as part of the rental. Just saying.

We enjoyed Hot tub, creek was frozen during our visit which added flavor to winter.

overpriced for what we got
Bikes old. Flat tire occurred within half hour of riding. Multiple gears.. only ONE worked. TV in livingroom didn't work even after guy came to fix it. Sparse cooking appliances.
Washing machine sounded like it had bricks in it. Burner not working on cooktop. Worn out deck lounge chair webbing..fell through dried out strap when it broke. Just an overpriced place in my opinion compared with the manyplaces we have stayed in sunriver

nice but overopriced
The property certainly was not like the photos. it was more outdated and showed, the bikes were in really rough shape, it says the house sleeps 8. That would be 8 kids, not adults. We had to spend $120 on a blow up mattress because of the sleeping situation. one burner on the stove did not work, the hot tub was not clean. it was a nice location and it was a fine house, just not worth what we were charged.

Way over priced with mosquito problem
This house is 80’s completely. For what you charge please get the house remodeled. The enormous swamp aka “the sun river” is a public health issue as it is nothing more than a mosquito breeding ground “

It was ok
Pretty dated house. Needs some sprucing up. Other than that ok.

Nice house
So we loved everything about the house except the bathrooms. They were very old, wood counter tops that were peeling and had a lot of putty on them. Shower & toilet were very old.

Awesome home
We loved staying here. The view was so good that we ended up not really leaving our house at all. The lower right stove burner needs a bit of attention though! Thanks for a lovely stay

Great location and property!
Excellent location on a tributary of the Deschutes and walking distance to main river. Easy drive to lots of amenities and outdoor excursions. Loved the property.

Beautiful, light near river
We loved our stay in Sunriver in September 2020. Place is 1 min away from main biking trail and river loop and about 10 min biking to main village. We were almost on the end of the circle and far away from main roads and surrounded by forest so enjoyed a very quiet nature trip. It was like camping but in the comfort of a tastefully decorated cabin. Cabin had everything you needed with large fridge, outdoor furniture, cozy livingroom with fireplace. There was a nice spa but we did not use it. There were almost no mosquitos when we were. Maybe there is many in the summer bc you are near river but we did not get bit once and did not even use deed. Thank you for hosting us! We would love to book again!

the location was great, close to paths by the river. House needs some updating, beds were not very comfortable. However it was very clean house with everything we needed.

Great family home
We had an awesome time in Sunriver. The home was charming but a bit dated. Our only disappointment was the lack of air conditioning - which, given the 100+ temperatures, was a bit of a bummer. After two calls, Vacasa provided several fans willing made the home quite comfortable at night. I would stay here again!

Summer Escape
Great location, lots of bikes and great hot tub. They might consider some new pillows for the beds (or bring your own). The pillows were hard. Other than that, this was a great, cozy home.

Amazing location
House is on a great spot next to the river. Great views and open design downstairs. Only thing missing for 5 star was the kitchen equipment was older and the bathrooms & kitchen could use a facelift.

Great spot in Sunriver
This felt like a cabin on a pond. Lovely spot on the west side of the development. The house is showing its age a little, but has a nice deck with a spa that is not enclosed by walls like so many other places in Sunriver. Though small, it was spacious enough for our group of five. Near the bike path and surrounded by song birds. Enjoy the frog orchestra at night. They have bikes for riding, which were well maintained and very appreciated.
Some things to know: in the evening, you'll get mosquitoes. They hit us right at sun down. The sound carries through the house. Bed in the master overlooking the water is very creaky. Only two bathrooms (one of which is attached to the bedroom downstairs).
Overall, we enjoyed our stay here.

Wonderful Christmas Getaway
We absolutely loves Golden Eagle 17! The home was very comfortable for our party of 7. It's location close to Mt. Bachelor and ski areas made it ideal even if there was no snow in Sunriver at the time, The home boasts a friendly layout both inside and out. The hot tub was an inviting space on the cold nights. Fireplace was also a perk. The beds were comfy and there was more than enough space for kids and adults to spread out. The home offered 8 SHARC passes that were fully utilized, bikes, washer and dryer, cable TV and WiFi. All helped to make our holiday stay more comfortable. Overall we can't wait to come back and enjoy Golden Eagle 17 in the summer too!

Peaceful stay in Sunriver
A group of four of us retired ladies stayed mid-week in September. Thankfully, there had been a freeze so no mosquitoes to bother us. The home is older, but quite cozy, with an abundance of natural light (the photos and video make it appear to be larger than it actually is). We found the kitchen to be well-equipped with lots of dishes, glassware, coffee cups, etc. The bathroom set-ups are a bit odd. Lots of patio furniture, and the deck overlooks Sun River (slough) and not the Deschutes. We had visiting deer, and lots of birds and waterfowl to watch. The paved path was just an easy distance away for walking. We have stayed at Sunriver multiple times and this was probably our favorite location - away from traffic and very quiet. Of course, it was September. We would consider renting this home again.

Awesome!
Great house close to Deschutes, away from the craziness of the Sunriver Village, but close enough for easy access when you want it. Definitely would stay here again!

Lovely SunRiver Home
Nice little home, lots of bikes, great view. Downstairs sofa cushion covers are in need of repair. Lots of use = signs of a well-loved vacation rental.

Convenient location
The house was clean and convenient to all Sunriver has to offer. The bikes were great and we enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and relaxing in the hot tub. On the negative side, the beds weren't the most comfortable and we got eaten alive by mosquitoes, even with bug repellent. That being said, the spot was very peaceful and we all had a great time.

Loved the view of the river, so many critters frolicking right outside my window. Loved going to sleep to the sound of chirping frogs at night. Also, appreciated the clean cabin with all the amenities. My family loved grilling the best!!
