all just brilliant to relax, have peace and quiet and everything from a little walk out of the door.
Just for personal reasons not the attic room

The apartment was located at the top of a lovely old house , in a perfect location, very close to all the bars and restaurants and the beautiful harbour of La Rochelle.
The apartment was spacious and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen.
Our host, Colette was super helpful.
We would recommend this host and apartment..super location. Also the family own a restuarant named Le Bonne Pate,
run by Colette's husband and son, excellent food and very reasonably priced,
This is not a dislike. We are a couple in our 70's and we found the stairs a little bit challenging.

Très bonne situation et hôtes très agréables.
Les parquets grincent, mais ça on ne peut pas y faire grand chose!

The accommodation is minutes away from the centre of La Rochelle, ideal for attractions and restaurants. The apartment is on a quiet street and had all the facilities that anyone could want.
There is nothing negative about the accommodation.

What a beautiful and charming place to stay in La Rochelle, a few streets behind the port, centre of town and just around the corner from the daily market. Lovely two-room space across the second floor of this townhouse, with a kitchen, dining area and additional outside terrace - catches all of the morning sun for breakfast. Resident cat will come for a visit too.
Very comfortable and spacious - bed was a dream to sleep on. KItchen has just about everything that you might look for in a self-catering apartment and Colette had left a good stock of teas, filter coffee and condiments. Dishwasher & washer-dryer for those who might need them. Strong wifi coverage and easy to access.
Thank you to Colette for all of the hospitality and information. She met me with keys on arrival, was flexible about check-out times, and offered to hold onto my luggage until I needed to leave for the airport.
I'd jump at the chance to stay here again when in La Rochelle.
This isn't a 'dislike' - just an observation that the old and traditional, very steep and curving staircase might present difficulties for the clumsy or unsteady.

Location fantastic. Host Colette fantastic. Very happy and would recommend to others. We stayed in the bigger apartment everything provided. Lot of stairs but the exercise was good.
Would have preferred walk in shower in the apartment we chose. Bath shower. We managed very well. Otherwise everything perfect. We will go back definitely.

2 minutes from the market and 5 minutes from the port. Perfect because outside the city there is a lot of traffic. The apartment has everything necessary for a self-catering holiday and is very comfortable. Colette was very friendly and helpful. We would certainly come back if we are in the area.

Excellent communication via whatsapp with our hosts and she helped us with bus stops and information about getting to the property. Excellent location, beautiful property with high ceilings and shutters. Excellent small kitchen with all that is necessary and comfortable bed. Private terrace for use with lots of plants. interesting old building that has been renovated. Very helpful hosts and local information provided.
The only thing might be that the bathroom is quite compact - might be better if the door opened outwards. But all mod cons and a good shower and facilities.

clean and lots of practical accessories for use to use (dishwasher/washing machine etc.) and everything was in working order
top of the house (approx 90 stairs!)

We had a blast.
Colette was helpful, talkative and cheerful. Apartment was clean, well equipped, everything how we have expected.
Perfect location in a quiet but central street, within walking distance, 10-15 minutes on foot to the port, aquarium and less to the main market and shopping streets.
We will definitely stay again.

Location was ideal, within easy walking distance of the port and the main shopping area. Colette and Gilles have a lovely and very different property and it is a delight to spend time in.
Would have liked a 'proper' shower! No other comments as all else was excellent.

Our flat was on 3rd floor of an original terraced house. The decor is applied sparingly: at first glance came across as sparse but quickly grew on me as I noticed more little flourishes -- dried flowers in a vase, small framed pictures on the wall, sculptures from local artists on the stairwell -- seems authentic for a 19th century house.
The view from the window is the front street (very quiet) and the opposite row of equivalent houses. The patio out the back is comfortable and private.
The location is convenient, walkable from the train station (15m+) and to the restaurants (10m), and very close (5m) to the local fresh market.
The kitchen is fully equipped and come with some coffee & tea supplies. The washing machine was a life saver!
Collette was great, speaks English well and good communication all around. Thank you again Collette!
The wifi was a bit troublesome.
Bring your own bathroom accessories, shampoos etc not provided.

Everything was good. Colette was a very welcoming host. Communication was excellent before and after our arrival. The appartment was very clean, well equipped, light and airy. The location was excellent in a very quiet street. Not far from the supermarket, train station and tourist sites. Would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay again if in La Rochelle.
Nothing, everything was perfect.
