We enjoyed the lake. Spent a full day a Yosemite and just enjoyed Twain Harte. The golf course and the mini golf course. Had a delicious dinner at the Villa.

My family and I stayed at Twain Harte for a family reunion in July. There were 11 of us in total.
The house was so great for us and what we were looking for. The outside areas were a really nice place to hang out in the evenings once it had cooled off a bit. And we were able to enjoy some time at Yosemite being that it wasn’t too far from the house.
There were only two things that I think would be potentially noteworthy for future renters.
1. The AC is not central AC. There are window units in 3 of the bedrooms (one on the main floor and both of the bedrooms upstairs). There were many larger floor fans throughout the house and a swap cooler in the living room on the main floor which helped during the day. Despite all of that, it was pretty warm in the main area of the house during the day. The second bedroom on the main floor and the bedroom in the basement only has floor fans for cooling the spaces down.
2. There are 5 bedrooms with distinct sleeping spaces. However, upstairs there are two bedrooms and the only way to get to the second bedroom is to walk through the other bedroom. Depending on the group staying here, this might create some privacy issues.
We did have a few issues pop up while we were there but Scott was available through text and was quick to offer up solutions for us right away.
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. We would give it 4/5 ⭐️.

Overall great place for family gatherings.
4.8
The size of the house and number of beds accommodated our large family comfortably. The outdoor deck surrounded by trees was a wonderful place to enjoy the cool evenings. The kitchen was well equipped and the large dining table allowed all 11 of us to sit down for meals together. Scott was very accommodating with any of our needs. A great house for families to enjoy!
4.8
4 generations of family enjoyed this cabin. Great location, wonderful decks, comfortable beds, lots of space, fully stocked kitchen, great communication with Scott. The only reason I can’t give it 5 stars was it needs a deep clean.
4.8
We had a very small wedding ceremony at the property (with prior permission), and it was gorgeous. The owners were really helpful to us before and during the trip. We enjoyed BBQing in the backyard in the evenings and the swamp cooler was effective in keeping the house cool during the day.

Just what we needed for a family get-together! The hosts thought of everything a group could need to make our stay comfortable and fun. Great communication and response time from our host-the best we’ve ever had staying in similar lodgings. Our family group of three generations had a wonderful relaxing, leisurely time. Super convenient off-street parking, and just There are three levels in the cabin, and a spacious kitchen so several cooks could be together. The kids loved playing inside and out, and we all enjoyed the fireplace. We especially appreciated the back porch gate, even though our own kids were bigger, the gate quickly makes a large secure play space for supervised littles. We also really liked having 4 bathrooms!
We went uphill to let the kids play in the snow, discovered a pickleball court and playground, and went for walks in the quiet, peaceful neighborhood. There are all the necessities you may have forgotten at home available in the little town.
The cabin decor was nice, rustic, and cozy. We would definitely love to return sometime. Thanks Scott and Lori, for sharing your wonderful place!

We really enjoyed our stay at Scott’s property! The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed and there was plenty of space for our large group to hang. And Scott is very responsive to text messages. Thanks again!
4.8
We had a great family trip to the snow! Lots of space great for big groups and families! Blackout curtains in rooms were nice and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and silverware. Communication with Scott was excellent! We would definitely stay here again!
4.8
This place was perfect for multiple couples. The host was so great at helping with requests and making sure we had everything we needed! I definitely recommend!
4.8
It started off with a near disaster as I had inquired about a pack n' play and was told one would be available. Upon arrival no pack n' play was found and I was told by the owner that he had made a typo and there was actually no pack n' play available. This meant my kid had no place to sleep as they are not old enough for a standard bed yet. He was able to find one at Walmart, but I still had to drive to go pick it up.
If not for this hiccup, definitely would have given 5 stars, but this typo could have proven to be an absolute disaster.
Other than that, everything else was just what we needed. Space for the kids to run around, close enough to town, big enough kitchen to cook for 15.

Overall this cabin was very nice. The rooms were just like the pictures except we had no idea two of them were combined and shared a bathroom. 1 huge inconvenience about this property after booking was that it said there was a hot tub and when we asked the host to send pictures of it they informed us that they in fact did not have a hot tub. This was only an inconvenience because we were looking for cabins that specifically had a hot tub because we booked around Christmas time in the winter. Another inconvenience we had was that upon arrival the day of our trip we got a message from the host asking if we could refrain from arriving earlier than the check in time because they had contractors over and they weren’t scheduled to be done until about 30 minutes before our check in. It was just odd to have had scheduled contractors knowing that the cabin was going to be booked that same day and already having the code to get in, you should take the possibility of your guests arriving early into consideration. They definitely did take us into consideration though, it’s just we were notified of the contractors only a couple of hours before check in time while we were on the road and set to arrive while they were still there. Other than this the cabin was really clean, easily accessible, and there was a Walmart, movie theater and other shops only about 16 minutes away which was very convenient for getting the supplies we needed. Definitely book this cabin if you’re looking for a cozy s

A great way to escape with friends and family. We wanted a large family room and dining table - we got just that! It was perfect. Beds were great and plenty of space for the kids.

This cabin is so beautiful. The town close by is so cute. You’ll love your stay whether your going with family that have little ones, or a friend get away.

Hiking boating and family games. Beautiful area! Great grocery store two minutes away.
4.8
I loved this place. It was very quite and clean.
4.8
Very attentive owners and a great house for our trip. Really enjoyed the lake as well!
4.8
Everyone enjoyed having their own bed and their own space. The house is fully stocked. (Bring shampoo & conditioner.) The swamp coolers worked perfectly to cool down the house, and we enjoyed the shade on the front porch and back porch. When looking for a rental in Twain Harte, Lake access is our number one priority! We had a great time at the lake and spent a day at the community pool. This house is a very short walk to downtown, where we enjoyed dinner and dessert. This house is definitely a cabin, if you’re looking for fancy look elsewhere. This house is perfect for spending your days at the lake and relaxing in the AC afterward. Perfect for cooking your own meals if you don’t feel like going out.
4.8
My family of 21 greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was beautiful and spacious. It was located in a very peaceful and quiet area. Also, they have the kindest people there and Scott is the best!
4.8
overall - it was fabulous -
there were a few little problems - the "rug" on the deck was very frayed with holes and loops of the material sticking ut - it was a real danger especially to me being 85 years old - but also to everyone - we hope it was Ok to roll it up and leave it against the wall on the deck
the decks were great and we spent a lot of time outside.
the bed linens were very wrinkled and thin quality but that didn't bother us too much
kitchen supplied very well
I don't know how I was charged - if it was $25/night extra for the over 6 - then I should have been asked who and how many would be there all 5 nights - maybe you gave us a break regarding that Scott, I was there 4 nights, my son in law was only there three nights
maybe you didn't charge me extra -
the shower head could be improved in the ground level bathroom
those are little nit-picking things that really didn't matter
we fell in love with Twain Harte and look forward to another vacation with you
you are a very conscientious host - we met your helper - is Dan is name? nd told him about the rug and also asked his help with the front door lock - we were having trouble locking it when we left - he also had difficulty but finally made it work
thanks again Scott - it was a wonderful five days
p.s. the kitchen needs pepper

Rustic, roomy cabin. Lots of space to sleep. Perfect for large groups. Cozy time by the fire. The host was very accommodating. Made loads of memories in Twain Harte.
4.8
Scott was literally the best host. He was very nice and polite before and during the trip. He also had lots of recommendations and was ready for any questions that we had. The house was amazing. Very spacious for my huge family. The description/pictures do not do justice to how nice the home is. The space was clean and more than we expected. Will definitely stay there again !
4.8
Twain Harte was a great cabin for a quick trip to the snow. Getting there was easy, the cabin was really charming, and the host was very responsive and helpful. We had a group of 17. I’m sure you could fit 25, but it would be quite crowded.

This is the perfect place if you have a large group. Plenty of space and beds. Very accommodating. Manager responds to messages promptly

If you are having any doubts about renting his cabin, put your doubts aside and book this cabin now. You will not regret it!
We just returned from a 5 day vacation at this amazing cabin over the New Year holiday. We celebrated the New Year with several families and this cabin was plenty big enough to accommodate all of us. The cabin is 3 levels, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. This allowed us to enjoy our time and space without feeling cramped. The kitchen is fully stocked, which was wonderful as we cooked all of our meals in.
We visited the quaint little town of Twain Harte, which was only a 2 minute drive from the cabin. We also enjoyed time ice skating, which was just under 15 minutes away. The location is wonderful and the backyard is amazing with several areas to relax and enjoy some outdoor time.
The owner Scott is amazing. He checked in with us prior to our vacation and answered every question we had. . He also checked in with us during our stay to ensure things were going well. He is extremely responsive. If you are considering this cabin, book now. You will be happy that you do.

Tuolumne Fun
Great location. Works well for large group.
4.8
Historic and FUNKY.
We chose this property because we needed 4+ bedrooms with baths which this cabin has.
BUT, Barn doors with lots of gap don’t make a room private, toilets so close to a sink that it’s difficult to sit on, showers that are so tiny only children can use, stairways way too steep and narrow to pass codes, sticky handles on kitchen cabinets, nothing square, so doors and screens don’t quite fit. The list goes on and on.
But the cabin accommodated our family and we are still able to bend into small bathroom spaces and climb up and down steep narrow stairways. In the end, our family had a lovely time.
Best to you all.
Cheers
