Greeted by the owner on arrival, this cosy cottage is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful area. Ideally situated just a two minute walk to the local pub which was busy with both locals and visitors and just a 10 minute stroll away from the Limestone Way to start of our 14 mile walk on the Saturday. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing break away and we would definitely recommend to all.

The Coach House is a great place to get away from it all. Ruth and Pete are the perfect hosts and neighbours. We made the most of the facilities and the location with breakfast at the Old Smithy, a trip to Tagg lane dairy and a barbecue in the evening. All walked off in lathkill dale.

Wonderful cottage, cosy and warm. Slightly hidden from sight so you do need accurate address details.

Excellent location opposite the mere. Owners very helpful and friendly. Village cafe very friendly. It snowed whilst we were there and they cleared and salted the driveway so quickly. Lovely box of welcome chocolates left for us too. We will return later in the year.

We had the best week staying in the Coach House in Monyash. It was spotlessly clean and in the perfect location, more or less opposite a beautiful pond and just round the corner from The Old Smithy cafe and The Bulls Head pub, both superb. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming and so thoughtful in what they had provided in the way of guides, pamphlets and games.

Finding the coach house
The house was difficult to find as there is no name on the house or sign on the road. It is set back of the road. However the house was comfortable and in a beautiful location.

Lovely host
Great location , friendly solicitous host who rushed to ensure we knew how to override the timer on the heating when they saw us arriving back “drookit” from a walk in the wind and rain . ( storm Franklin), - lovely and cozy.
