The house was lovely and spacious, great for a large group. The village was lovely, mountains around and the snooty fox pub was fab.
The upstairs bed was broken underneath
Some cutlery was a little dirty and a couple of marks on one of the sheets.
The photos can be a bit misleading in that you can think the house is right next to a lake.

A lovely place in great and quiet surroundings. The owners were very nice and easy to communicate with.
Arriving from several directions, we came with four cars. That seems to have placed a problem to some of the neighbours, although there was enough space. We could leave one of the cars near the pub, whose owners were very nice and friendly.

Excellent size and layout for our party of 5 adults and one dog.
Beautiful walks on the doorstep and a great cafe right next door!
Games area in the attic if travelling with older children.
Well equipped even for the dog and local birds (an abundance of bird seed in the cupboard).
Lovely enclosed garden with sun all day.
Brilliant utility room
Friendly neighbours, great local pub a few minutes walk away.
Loved watching the cows being moved several times a day.
It's difficult to be critical of this amazing place.
If you don't enjoy driving it's not the place for you, most places are easily accessible by car but parking is a bit of a nightmare anywhere in the Lakes mid July (except Uldale).
In need of a few more kitchen items such as water jugs and salad bowl.
My son felt single beds were a bit uncomfortable (ours was great)
Could do with lighter bedding for warm nights

Size of the property, location, well equipped, peaceful. Close to lovely pub and restaurant.
The host already knows - the heating kept switching itself off and locking out.
The mattresses on the bottom bunk and the twin bedrooms need replacing they were badly worn and you could feel all springs through.
The signs throughout the property with all the rules about leaving no trace of dogs and having to clean (including toilets!) etc before departure was pretty extreme compared to other cottages we have stayed in the area. I don't go on holiday to clean, and paying the price we did - don't expect to have to clean before leaving. Made us feel uncomfortable.
Worst thing was the plumbers arriving at 9.30am on the morning we were leaving, when we had to be out of the property for 10am. Felt very rushed and didn't give us chance to check we had done all the many things on the 'lists' we were expected to before leaving!

Can't do anything about the weather, the worse we have experienced in 30 years
The small toilet attached to the main bedroom had yellow water upon our arrival, the extra cleaning time was unused.

The temperature control for the onsuit shower didn't work so it was too hot to stand under.

The pictures in the cottage advert do not do it justice - it’s a lovely, homely house in a beautiful location. Would loved to have spent more time there.
Our stay was too short!

Lots of space.. indoors and outdoors
Unfortunately the bed mattresses weren't very comfortable, and a few cleaning practices could be improved, but all in all we loved the house

There was lots of space within the property. Liked the washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, game’s room and enclosed rear garden.
The cleanliness of the kitchen, all the cupboards could do with a good clean and we had to clean out the cutlery drawer before use. The carpet was covered in dog hair….we gave it a good Hoover but this should have been done before arrival. Cobwebs in all rooms.

Clean and tidy property. Everything you could need was there. Very good.
Says parking for 2 cars, but a car was constantly parked in front of the cottage, so realistically only parking for 1 car, at the cottage. Our second car was parked somewhere opposite or down the lane a bit. But no real problem.

Amazing facilities, everything works properly and the place looks way better than in pictures. I think new pictures need to be uploaded for this place to show people how this place really looks like!
The dining room and kitchen is really spacious and we had really great evenings barbequing, board gaming and cooking when the sun went down. The views from the rooms are really spectacular too.
The only danger of staying in this place is that your group might be tempted to just stay in all day rather than going for a hike. This place is just too cozy!
A couple of construction work at the neighbors' can be rather loud, but tolerable. And it's a bit of a distance away from towns and hiking spots. Also the barbeque is too small for a large group.

Location superb for visiting the Lakes and coast.
