Great location for our needs. Peaceful pub garden. Good quality cooked breakfast & excellent evening meals. Staff were lovely. Lots of easy parking.
All good for the price.

The Withies Inn is the quintessential English countryside inn and pub experience. The pub is warm and inviting with delicious food and drink, fireside seating, local flavor and an authentic pub ambience. The rooms are beautifully appointed with lush bedding and towels. The proprietor, Hugh, and his team are friendly and professional. I highly recommend The Withies Inn for your next visit to Surrey.
Nothing.

The breakfast was fantastic. Very tasty and plenty on my plate.
The chalet accommodation was very comfortable during a very stormy night.
There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

Excellent place to stay for my work requirements, my room was nice and warm (January) excellent facilities. Food was exceptional for both dinner & breakfast. Fantastic staff always checking on you. Will definitely stay again 👍🏻
My only concern was no blind to cover the light shinning thru the glass door in the morning.

Easy to check in, clean, nice bed, good shower, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits, good breakfast
Car park security light came on in night and light came into room just slightly. Room looked out onto car park so couldn’t have curtains open without feeling overlooked

The room was small but very comfortable, with good lighting and everything we needed for an overnight stay. Breakfast was good.
- but coffee could have been better (& hotter).

Amazing little old inn, with something like 500 years of history. Ancient wood in the bar area, real atmosphere. Lovely staff and overall homely feel. Breakfast was excellent, made to order. Room very clean and pleasant, with own stairs to balcony entrance. Nice skylights in roof, modern shower room. Brilliant place to stay in the area.
The room and bathroom was slightly small for a family (two adults, one teenage child). Would be perfect for 1-2 people.

Despite all the good reviews, Withies did look rather unprepossessing at first sight - an olde country pub, both inside and out. But: very friendly and helpful staff, who seemed to enjoy working there; lovely bar supper and very good breakfast; and the guest rooms very nice - newly done, well equipped, simple and nice decor, small-ish room and en-suite shower room, but perfectly adequate for one night; pretty gardens; nice remote situation.
Would definitely book again if we ever needed accomm in the Guildford area.
(We were there for a visit and wine-tasting at Greyfriars Vineyard under 5 miles away - highly recommended, too.)

The quilt was very heavy.

The staff were lovely, food great and the room was fine.
Shower a tad dirty and there was a funny smell in the room.

One of the most atmospheric settings you could wish for, quality, full of history, calm, picturesque, England at its best.

The room was really nice and clean. The bathroom was also very tidy and clean.
I wish there was a little fan on the bed side because when it got hot in the night there was no way of cooling.

Breakfast very good, but woman serving not at all helpful, had to ask for condiments, etc. never asked if all was ok. Landlord very good. Drinks very expensive!!!!

Staff were very good. Breakfast was very tasty but somewhat limited choice.
We liked the fact that a problem with the room we'd booked was rectified as soon as possible.
We thought the bathroom, and particularly the shower, was very good.
We had no choice of bedding and the quilt was extremely heavy for us. A choice of summer quilt would have been useful. We would not describe the room as deluxe - however it was good enough.
The "balcony" overlooked the carpark at the back of the pub so the view was not very salubrious.

Leaving
The room was clean but then they are a couple of year old horse box style rooms the main building is a period property wich is dark and dingy and smell due to old inglenook fireplace not nice when they serve “breakfast” next to it. Breakfast is a joke they say between 7 and 9 am but the woman that rocked up said I was told you booked it for 8.15am HELLO?. £380 for 3 nights £15 for breakfast and you have to ask for everything no cereal or jam offered you have to constantly ask coffee or more orange juice and the cooked breakfast is a joke I didn’t even go on day of check out then the horrible woman said I had a bill to settle for drinks when I had already been in and paid it only reason I didn’t pay at the time is because vlad was busy or should I say flustered and didn’t know the price of liquor even the owner took the payment and said thank you that was very honest of you?. the stupid woman didn’t offer to discount for the breakfast I noticed. Awful hotel and watch out the walls are paper thin very noisy specially the dray and the gardener.

Fabulous and cute location in a very old pub. Accommodation in some old converted stables. The pub itself is lovely. Great shower, and whole place was lovely and clean, and staff were super friendly.
The pillows weren’t comfy, it was a thick winter duvet in the middle of summer with no fan or anything and there’s no soundproofing whatsoever so you can hear the snoring and conversation of your fellow residents.
The breakfast was underwhelming. No beans with the full English and the oat milk had gone off.

Clean and pleasant. Staff very obliging.
Bit like a motel style room but clean and of a good quality.

Nice location, friendly staff, and nice rooms for the price. Breakfast was great and the staff accomodated to our needs. Was perfect for myself, wife and little one. Nothing to complain about.

Once the staff had warmed to us, the evening experience was much more enjoyable with friendly knowledgeable staff who made us feel welcome. Superb red wine in front of a beautiful roaring fire.
Upon arrival we were shown to the 'stable' which was unlocked in front of us before the member of staff just walked off without so much as a welcome or 'can i help with anything?' Admittedly she was hugely busy as the pub was doing a roaring afternoon trade, however for a welcome it was particularly 'off-ish' and had our backs up to start.
The converted stables themselves are quite small, the impression given is loads of character like the pub itself but in reality the stables have been converted perhaps so well that they just resemble a Premier inn style room, which for the money is disappointing. Maybe somewhat naively we were expecting beams and exposed brickwork. The view out towards the woodland and field at the rear is beautiful though partially ruined by a shipping container that the venue uses to store things in. One rickety table and chairs were provided for the four converted stables to sit out on the shared patio, why not one per 'stable'? Cushions and perhaps a table cloth over said table would have been nice touches also, maybe we expected too much but again for the price paid, these extra touches potentially fall into the realms of things that should be expected not wished for?
