INTERIOR
Wonderful single family house with no one above or below you. Situated on one level, an ideal setup for elderly, handicap, & younger children. The interior features large rooms, updated kitchen that is fully equipped, travertine flooring, dual pane windows, new wood flooring in bedrooms, and vaulted ceilings. There are 3 full bedrooms, each with their own closet (see “Sleeping Arrangements” below for further detail), + 2 full bathrooms each with a surround shower (master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom).

• GUEST REQUIREMENTS | Per certain regulations & HOA requirements, guests must be at least 30 years of age to book with us. If your group is all adults, then all guests must meet our minimum age of 30.
• OCCUPANCY | Our maximum occupancy refers to the number of people allowed in the home at any given time (ie includes both guests & visitors), some of which may be mandated by certain regulations. Exceptions towards the maximum number of people allowed may be made for children under the age of 2. Guest(s) agrees that more than the number of people stated on the reservation shall not occupy the premises. The number of guests includes visitors, even if they are not staying overnight.
• NOISE | Our homes are intended for relaxing getaways, not rowdy beach parties. Music and other noise is to be kept at an appropriate level and in a manner that is mindful to neighbors. Noise that can be heard 50 feet away from the home is prohibited. Parties are not allowed. If there is excessive noise or music, any illegal activity, or evidence of violation of these policies, you may be asked to vacate the premise without any refund and additional charges may be assessed.
• AIR CONDITIONING | Please refer to your specific property if air conditioning is provided. If the advertisement does not say that air conditioning is offered, than the home does not have air conditioning. Note that the majority of area homes do not have air conditioning due to the mild year-round San Diego coastal climate (average approximate 65 degree year-round temperatures, with Summer averages at approximately 69 degrees!). Just south of Belmont Park, this location on South Mission is perfect. The house is well kept and well appointed. There is an AC in each bedroom along with the great room. The bathrooms were immaculate. Powerful BBQ was awesome for grilling. A few beach chairs were provided along with a boogie board. We were a party of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens) and felt that there was just enough room and never felt crowded. A few tips:
1. The parking space is good for just one full size pick up truck parked parallel to the house. It can accommodate a Tundra at 19 feet and the spot was 24 feet. So Excursions, Suburbans, Tahoe's will fit - but just one vehicle
2. It was much easier in a truck to turn right (west) on San Fernando Place and then come down (east) to the house for parking
3. Parking is at the rear of the house, not the front
4. The house is about a 1 minute walk to the boardwalk and beach and was very safe
5. There is an exterior hose for washing off on the side of the house

The home is every bit as lovely as the photos and the patio is even prettier. The location is wonderful, right between the beach and the bay with plenty of services within walking distance. The beds were super comfy with plenty of well appointed space in all the rooms. We will definitely be back.

This place was perfect for our stay. Location was a 10/10. Easy walk to 2 great coffee shops + Sara’s Mexican Food. And of course close to the beach and boardwalk. Super quiet neighborhood. Beautiful home and a great stay. Thank you!!

Our family spent 4 weeks at this lovely Mission Bay Beach single family bungalow. The location was perfect, between the beach and the bay. Close to the Belmont park and beach activities. The house had everything needed for a great stay. We asked for a step stool to reach an upper cabinet in the kitchen and the management company was easy to contact and responded quickly. This was our 2nd time using a Surf Style Vacation Home and will be using them again next year.

The property was as advertised. It was close to the beach within a beachfront complex, so the kids did not need to cross any streets.tomget.to the beach, which was great. The kitchen had all of the cooking items needed. The showers are fantastic! Beach toys and chairs galore. I would definitely stay here again!

Overall, the house was exactly what we expected. We encountered a few minor problems but nothing that derailed the week. The rental management team took a long time responding to concerns/issues we had regarding a back up in the master shower. We were able to find a work around before hearing back from them, several days later. I would recommend a deeper clean on the A/C vents as they blow black dust bunnies all over the bed (sleepers too) when they turn on. Should be a quick and easy fix. Other than that, the house was clean and suited our family of 4 comfortably for the week.

After walking up and down the boardwalk from this Vrbo location, this is the perfect spot! Short walk to Belmont Park, restaurants, and quick marts. To the South, the houses are larger and the beach much more crowded with younger generations. This Vrbo is the perfect place for families. The cleanest Vrbo we have ever stayed at!

Everything about the house and the location was exactly what we were looking for. It was clean. The A/C was excellent. It was well-stocked with everything we needed. We loved the front patio and had dinner out there every night. The beach access was perfect especially for traveling with an infant. We would definitely stay there again. The only issue was the WiFi. We connected an ethernet cable from the modem to the television in the living room to prevent buffering on the stream. Once we did that, everything was perfect.

Small but sufficient for no more than 5 adults and 2 children. Barely parking for two vehicles, maybe 2 subcompacts. Little to no hot water in main bathroom shower. TV operates off of Wifi and would constantly lose wifi connection after 10-20 minutes and you had to login again. Would not book this location again.

This is our 2nd summer renting this property and the owners have done some nice upgrades. The decor is more modern, kitchen table and beach amenities all were notably better than last year. Well stocked kitchen appliances - cute front yard. Only downsides I saw was the need to sweep the front porch from the pine needles that fell and the flies- both hard to correct. The front door bolt was a little tricky to open the front deadbolt. Would stay here again

We stayed at Beach & Bay to celebrate our granddaughter's 2nd birthday. This is the perfect location. Steps from the ocean and steps from the bay. The house was clean and neighborhood was as well. Beautiful patio to sit outside and spacious inside living area. We will definitely stay here again!

After researching, this property was the best for my families needs. Unfortunately we did not get to bring our beagle but I can see that this would have been perfect for her. All the rooms have air conditioning to suit everyone’s need. Location is great near everything within walking distance. Looking forward to coming back next year. Wish we could’ve stayed longer this year.

We LOVED our stay in this great bungalo by the beach. It has a wonderful floorplan and is super clean and well stocked The location was perfect! Our only complaint was weak internet so tv didnt work well. Overall, FABULOUS.....we will be back!

We really enjoyed staying here. This is not a duplex or triplex. This is a complete little house. Has 3 bedrooms and accommodated or group of 6 perfectly. Kitchen opens up to a great patio with a nice table and built in gas grill. Has a great little walkway to the beach from the patio gate. Best of all this house has parking for 3 cars. After staying here I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else for our next trip to San Diego.

The house was convenient for our group of 4 seniors. It was single level and easy to go to and from the beach. It was a single family house so we didn't have to deal with loud neighbors. It had a nice outdoor patio with table. And the beds were very comfortable. We all agree it deserves a 5 star rating.

Great location and is the perfect stand-alone bungalow for the beach! It has all the amenities you need for a perfect beach vacation and is steps from the sand. Would definitely stay here again. The only "issue" we had was the bedroom window curtains are very sheer and there is a motion light on the house next door that lights up the bedrooms at night, so bring an eye cover if you are sensitive to waking up.

This is a charming property within walking distance to the beach, restaurants and entertainment. Communication with rental office was great and our few issues were immediately taken care of. As many have mentioned water pressure in the master is zero to none. Had a wonderful stay and would definitely come back!

Location is amazing! Walking distance to the Pink Park where our kids love to play, the Bay, the Beach and Belmont Park! 2 Parking spots also terrific if guests want to visit for the day. Only downsides were many of the boogie boards were broken and not discarded, and for some reason the air conditioning (so key to have even at the Beach when it's hot) would be on full blast or not at all in one of the bedrooms. Only discovered that the last night.

The home has in a great location between beach and bay.
I wish we could give a zero star rating.
The master shower had no hot water or water pressure. When we contacted the management company on day one,their response was- we’ll send a plumber. A plumber NEVER showed up during our 4 day stay, so all the adults had to shower in the second bathroom. Keep in mind that this home sleeps six, can you imagine the inconvenience!
On our last day, the toilet backed up into the shower ! I suppose we should feel lucky this didn’t happen on day one! I sent a message to management and got the same response-we’ll send a plumber. What a joke!
In addition, the hand towel in the kitchen was literally a rag shredded at one end, with no additional towels available. There weren’t enough bath towels, literally two in the entire house that sleeps six!! We actually had to use beach towels.
And the ice maker was broken.
The owner refused to compensate us for all the issues stated. Completely unprofessional way to handle something that could of been remediated so easily. After staying in VRBO properties over a dozen times we have to say this was the most disappointing experience .
