Nice staff
BED BUGS - bites showed up a few days later (as is normal with bed bugs). Went to check their reviews on other sites, and confirmed my suspicions - the hotel has an infestation that they are lying to guests about. DO NOT STAY HERE. I have about 20-30 bites and welts, on every part of my body.

The hotel was located perfectly to walk to everything we wanted to see. We liked it because it was in a quiet neighborhood so we could relax at night. The staff was super friendly and our room had a view of the canal. We loved our stay.
nothing. everything was great

Nothing
I did not show up because I saw on the Internet they have several bed bug issues and complaints about it, I didn’t want my travel to be disrupted because of this or worst, taking a plague with me. The stay was already payed, I fully understand the cancellation policy. However, I asked for a refund because of the hygiene concern, at least they returned €18 (city tax I guess). I had to find a different accommodation that day.

Very central, nice view on canal
Not very clean at all, badly equipped kitchenette, very old and worn furniture. Even if this is not an appart'hotel, the room was still advertised with kitchenette, but do not count either on dishwaching equipment being available, nor on room service, which is limited to emptying the rubbish and changing towels (unplesant manager dixit!), unless you insist about it (which we did, and obtained after an extremely unpleasant verbal exchange despite my attempts to be smily and courteous). Most of all, what really displeased us was the extremely unpleasant attitude of the manager, really obnoxious. I want to specify that there are two people in charge and that the first one we met, a smily bold gentleman, was perfectly nice, helpful and courteous. Unfortunately, the next two days he was replaced by an aggressive and completely unhelpful man, for whom clearly making money is the only important thing, and certainly not being courteous and helpful with customers. Maximum profit for minimum effort. I am not surprised of the previous comments made on the website, and his rudeness can be also noticed in his own answers to previous customers. After begin aggressed verbally, we will probably also receive an aggressive answer to this message....

De locatie is perfect.

Loved the location and flowered facade of the building. The staff was very kind and helpful. Had a kettle and fridge and safe in the room. They offer breakfast but it is expensive, €15. for a basic breakfast. There is a lift.
Room was tiny, an attic really. The hotel has bigger rooms but I could only get the small one with no view when I booked. No a/c, the furniture was antique and not in great condition.

The most beautifully located and styled room. Full length double doors, along the length of this upper floor room, which opened to give a canal view. Large room in annex part of the building so you have your own door key for private access. The room was exceptionally large with a lush corner filling plant, double bed yet with 2 single matresses and quilts allows for real comfort and a good sleep. The ensuite was massive and well equipped with a shower, w/c, sink and bidet as well as the longest bath I have ever been in. Nice selection of bathrrom products. Superb location for accessing all of the city centre activities, sights and sounds yet slept in silence once back in the room.
There are aspects of the room that are showing their age with poorly tackled maintenance and repair jobs having been undertaken. There was a poorly repaired water damage section to the bathroom ceiling and poor quality execution on the silicon sealer job around the riles at the bath which cheapens what shoudl be an outstanding room. It would not take long or be that expensive to correct these matters.

Cute little rooms with flaire.
Great location and friendly staff. :)
The double bed was actually just two single beds put next to each other. But the mattresses were comfy.

very nice view from the room

We booked 2 rooms . My parents room was exactly as advertised . Our room was in the attic . Very claustrophobic. Requested to move and told these happen when booking that we still had a view which is stated in the review . Location was great as small walk to central area .plenty of tea and coffee offered in the rooms with fridge as well .
Had no hot water for 2 days so couldn’t shower . Had to keep asking for ETA on water . Felt so gross and water was ice cold to even quickly shower . Our sheets had blood on it but quickly changed

Loved the location- right on the canal. Within ready walking distance of dozens of restaurants and stores. Quiet. Good breakfast.

great location and comfortable beds. The lounge was great and the top bed is a great way to maximise use of space.
the shower head isn’t fitted to the wall and you can see into the shower from the lounge

great location
very tatty furniture and fittings e.g. tap loose, curtains didn’t fit. room small and wardrobe broken. mini bar included cigarettes in a strictly non smoking room. also twin beds not really twin - see photo

perfectly located. super cute and quaint. the staff were absolutely lovely.
nothing I didn’t like exactly but the room was smaller than I expected however if you just want somewhere to lay your head and have as a base it’s perfect. the bed was so comfy, never had a bad nights sleep. travel does travel a bit throughout the halls and floors but that can’t be helped and since it’s a pretty small place it’s not like theres a lot of hustle and bustle

The room was a total disaster. That was the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed. I found bed bugs in the room. I informed the hotel and they basically did nothing. It was a horrible stay in this place. I don’t recommend it to anyone. The room service doesn’t clean the rooms properly and everywhere was in dust every day even after cleaning. It just doesn’t worth to the money and stress. The stay was a hustle every day and just ruined my mood in my vacation! I hated staying here.

the location is really good
the place was pretty dirty, specially the bathroom. after an hour in the room I found a bedbugs.. got totally stress and had to check everything then. found some blood stain in the mattress. try to contact the emergency number but no one responded, contacted booking and they also tried to reach out to the property but no one answered them either. once I saw the bed bugs i directly to a store and bought garbage bag to put all my belongings in it. the hotel didn’t give me a refund for the night.. saying I will be charge full price anyway. really bad experience, not recommending this place!

Excellent position in the City Center. The Hotel owners are very kind and always ready to support for information and everything. Clean place.

Its a very cute authentic boutique hotel, quite like the old world charm that they have maintained while tastefully & modernly decorated. The room size is quite decent compared to other hotels. The location is also perfect to explore amsterdam old town by foot. The canal view room really gives the great vibe of the city.
