About this house rental
Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is in Seattle's Fremont neighborhood, known as the "Center of the Universe" meaning close to everything you will want to see. This garden oasis is a beautiful craftsman home built in 1909, with a private patio and an outdoor gas firepit, and indoor gas fireplace. This 2+ bedroom, 1500 sq ft house has all the craftsman details, but has been completely brought up to date, and decorated with a chic flair. It is a stunning mix of old and new. Enjoy!
WHY CHOOSE THE BOUTIQUE CHIC GARDEN RETREAT OVER OTHERS?
The Boutique Chic Garden Retreat is the most perfect spot for special occasions and relaxing getaways. It is fun and full of life. It exudes happiness and joy everywhere you look. Whether you are relaxing on the private patio surrounded by flower gardens and huge neighborhood trees, conversing with friends by candlelight around the dining room table, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen, reading by the fire in the living room, or getting a good night sleep on a medium firm bed in our air conditioned rooms, your heart will be full.
The Kitchen-
is small but user friendly. It has stainless appliances, including a dishwasher, refrigerator, microwave and down draft electric stove. There is a rolling, stainless island and bar stools that can be used as a prep station or working office. The kitchen is well stocked with all you need to make a nice meal.
Outdoor Patio Area-
is out through the kitchen and back door. The patio area is completely fenced in for privacy and has a gas BBQ and gas firepit. There is also a table for at least 6 to sit at.
Bedrooms-
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor, each has a queen bed, closet, luggage rack and hooks and hangers. The rooms are small like many old houses, but have everything you need. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, air conditioning units and fun art on the walls. There is also an iron and ironing board in one of the closets. There is a 3rd makeshift bedroom with a dresser and TV in the basement, with a full size hide a bed that converts to a couch during the waking hours, and acts as a second living room and a place to watch TV
The Living Room-
is a very comfortable space to unwind, looking out at all the pretty trees. You would never know you are in the heart of a big city. There is a gas fireplace, couch and 2 chairs that sit in front of the fire, one on each side of the fire place. The lights are on a dimmer switch, so turn down the lights and relax at the end of your day in front of the fire.
The Dining Room-
is so fun! It has a dining room table with 6 chairs, and parrot wall paper that matches the chairs. The lights dim, the service wear matches, and red and white wine glasses and champagne glasses provided.
The bathroom-
is off the kitchen and back bedroom. It is stocked with fine Turkish towels. Unfortunately there is no bathtub, SHOWER only.
The front porch-
is a nice shady place to sit and watch the happenings of the neighborhood. You are surrounded by trees, so although you are out in the open it is still quite private.
The basement-
has just been updated in 2021. In the basement is an open floor plan with washer and dryer behind a curtain. It is a two room open floor plan. As you enter the basement is a room with a small desk/ table area for somebody needing to work from "home" with privacy. From the desk you can see the tv too. In the other room is a Hide-a-bed couch with a full size hide-a-bed, tv (the same tv you can see from office), & dresser. The basement is just over 400 square feet.
Parking-
Parking is not a problem here. There is always parking right out front or across the street, and it is free.

The house was comfortable and had plenty of space, the neighborhood was convenient and quiet, and parking on the street was easy. The colorful interior was pleasant and the kitchen had everything we could need for cooking and preparing meals. We had a great stay.

House was easy to find and we were able to easily get to all the sites and back! Would either stay here again or one of Alycia's other properties :-) Thank you for having us in your home!

Cute house, small but charming side yard. Clean and Alysia as super responsive. Beds were pretty soft but plenty of towels and decent sheets. 3rd bedroom was in basement and we were glad we ended up not needing it. Pretty dark down there but you would probably get a peaceful sleep.

Had my sister's bachelorette in Seattle and this was perfectly her style so it was a nice quite spot for us to gather. Think of getting box fans because they are bulky to travel with and I love the white noise to sleep.

We had a great time. The communication with Alycia was very easy and really helpful with ideas for eating out and sights to see. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed Seattle to the full. The house is comfortable and great to have a secluded garden. There is a bus stop across the road so super convenient. Recommend - Pikes market, Space Needle/Gardens, Ballard lock, Gasworks Park, Bainbridge Island wandering around Fremont and watch the Seattle Mariners (10 bucks a ticket and they won!). Food was good - liked Hooligans and Ha! (for Mexican breakfast).

My friends and I stayed here for a long weekend, the location was great and there was plenty of street parking. We would definitely be back given the opportunity!

Great house for friends - walking distance from Fremont. You have to eat at Local Tide.

We loved our stay here! The house is even cuter in person, and even had a few holiday decorations up. It was spotless when we came in. The fireplace turns on with a light switch and makes the living room feel so cozy. The dining room table was plenty large enough for a night of board games with 6 people. The kitchen was so well stocked - we were lazy and ordered takeout, but it would be so much easier to cook in than the usual place that hardly has more than a couple pans. The beds are comfortable (on the soft side). Alycia was responsive and accommodating. We would absolutely stay here again!

We loved our stay. We were able to cook and lounge at this space, I appreciated the open layout and colorful rooms!

We loved the Boutique Chic Retreat! It was the perfect house for a group of 3 women. The bike path was super close. A cute shopping and dining area was a 15-minute walk. Ballard was a 5-minute drive, so the location was key for us! Downtown was just a short Lyft/Uber drive. We enjoyed the fire pit on the patio as well as the gas fireplace in the living room one morning, catching up over multiple cups of coffee. And the coffee was provided! A real nice touch to have that in the morning when you got in late the night before. It was also super convenient to have a Fred Meyer just a 10-minute walk away, since we only had a car for a couple days of our stay. We could pop over there for breakfast taco ingredients, wine, etc. Just note that there is one bathroom so if you are 3 women getting dressed up for an evening out, you will need to use the mirror in the dining room area, or bring one of your own. It wasn't a problem for us! Loved having a wifi speaker so that we could have dance parties throughout our weekend. Cute, cute, CUTE house!! Oh, and bed was super comfy!

Summer in Seattle
We had a fantastic stay in Fremont. The house is beautiful and spacious. Wonderful backyard patio for enjoying the evenings. We could walk to restaurants and the bus stop was only 2 blocks away. Close to Ballard and Downtown. Hated to leave after 10 days.

Wonderful Temporary Home
We stayed for an extended period while our house was under construction. The house is well equipped and functional. We had plenty of room for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids). We loved the colorful walls, fun chandeliers, and beautifully landscaped patio. The location is amazing in between Fremont and Ballard for many restaurant and shopping adventures. The owners were responsive and easy to work with.

Had an Amazing Stay!
I stayed at this property with my college age kids and we had a wonderful time. The pictures are absolutely accurate to what you will find and the house was very comfortable and very clean!
We absolutely loved the mattresses and pillows, they were heavenly after long days of walking around Seattle. The location was perfect as a jumping off point for exploring and very quiet and safe. Parking was never a problem no matter the time of day.
We did not do any cooking, but the kitchen was well appointed with everything one might need to prepare meals.
The fireplace was very cozy and we used it almost every evening after long days of exploring.
I absolutely recommend staying here for the wonderful accommodations and location. We enjoyed being in the Freemont neighborhood and felt close to everything we wanted to see.
Checking in and out were a breeze and communication with the owners was easy.
Thank you for a wonderful visit!

Nice family vacation spot
Cute old house with fun decorations. Patio outside was a great place to grill and hang out with the family. Propane fireplace was nice for keeping warm when it was chilly out. The basement bed wasn't super comfortable but it got the job done. One bathroom for a group of 6 was just barely enough. The host was super responsive with questions. We loved our stay!

Perfect Freemont Getaway
We absolutely loved our stay!!! Perfect location in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go. Safe neighborhood! The house had tons of amenities. Super soft towels, comfy beds, and anything you may have forgotten, they provide. We will definitely be staying here the next time we come to Seattle.

GREAT stay in a charming property!
We love, love, LOVE this property! The location was perfect for our needs - lots of street parking on wide streets in a clean, safe & secure neighborhood. Open the front door and WOW! Amazing decor and artwork in every room that capture the eye and the imagination! Don’t forget to look up, because the light fixtures are a delight. Well equipped kitchen … high quality dishes, everything you need to prepare a full meal or just a quick snack. So pleased to see martini glasses and a shaker for the ladies’ cosmos! Nice selection of spices, olive oil, flour sugar and lots of ice in the freezer! Great beds and a variety of pillows … and lots of big fluffy towels in the bathroom. Can’t wait to come back in warmer weather to enjoy the garden! Thanks for a perfect stay!

Clean and comfortable and friendly, great location
Well decorated with nice towels, bedding and sheets and kitchen supplies and coffee in the morning. Great fire place which was cozy as it was cold and snowy out. Well located between Ballard and Fremont and convenient to Burt Gilman. There was ample street parking out front in front of the drive way but due to the snow the streets were icy and a bit hilly and unplowed by the city but this is rare - since it rarely snows in Seattle. Incredibly clean. The layout was a bit unusual of the rooms and there was one shower and toilet only which was fine and had decent water pressure but no bathtub for those that take baths. All in all a really great place and clean and good communication and all efforts made to make the stay comfortable.

Beautiful Fremont House
We had our annual (4) girls New Years Eve overnight at the beautiful Fremont house. The house is super cute and decorated with thought and fine detail in every aspect. There are lots of pieces of art, in the light fixtures and other elements. The neighborhood is warm and friendly and close to coffee shops and restaurants and other great Seattle features.
Its a can't go wrong rental, highly recommended!

Our adorable Christmas house!
Alycia even set up a cute tree. The fireplace was warm and inviting. A great stay. Who would have known a record breaking snow would come as we were checking out- but we made it! Thanks Alycia!

Just like home
It was wonderful felt like home ,very comfortable! Unfortunately on our first day there I became sick with a cold and spent the next few days in bed. The bed was lovely..very comfortable thank goodness. We enjoyed the fireplace at night. The home is fully equipped with everything you could need. There was even coffee to get us started. We would stay here again if we happen to be in Seattle. Lovely neighborhood !!

SO CUTE & COZY
I stayed here for my birthday with a couple of friends and we were so impressed with the decor and how inviting the home is. There were fresh flowers throughout the house and the beds were some of the comfiest beds we have slept in. Check in was easy and there were no issues. I would love to go back.
