We stayed three nights but only had breakfast one morning. Questionable.
As I said above we had the self service breakfast on one morning generally it was fine however it could be luck which elements were freshest.

We had a great stay. Staff were so lovely and accommodating and the hotel itself is very nice. Great location, walking distance to all amenities, including Pennys, restaurants etc. And short drive to the beautiful Glencar waterfall. Surrounding countryside is just beautiful. Would highly recommend :-)
I have no complaints

The decor , service and experience where of high quality.

Struggling to think of something.
Furnishings were outdated. Double rooms are tiny. In the evening we sat at our table and had to wait about 15 mins for a menu and then a further 10 mins to order. Once ordered, our food eventually came another 15 mins later. Very bad menu with mostly chips and only one item with potatoes. Dessert was definitely frozen and reheated. For the price we paid, it was definitely not worth it.
Decor in the bar and reception needs touching up. The shower needed to be running for a good 10 mins before it started to get warm.
Next morning checkout was 11am. At 10.45 the cleaner wanted to enter the room. This is meant to be a 4 star hotel. I wouldn’t give it 2. We were in the Radisson in Letterkenny the night before which is also a 4 star hotel and are worlds apart.

The breakfast was terrific and location excellent, convenient for coach, train and taxis.
The bed which was fine but I would like it to be firmer. Walk in shower was exact.

Comfortable bed and friendly staff.
Very small room and major renovations going on. Drills / machinery could be heard up to nearly 10pm and again by 8am the following morning. Price was not inexpensive but that was room only, breakfast was an additional €14.

Fabulous bedroom. The breakfast was excellent. In a primary location easy for shopping and local pubs. Fabulious fire in the lobby on such a cold night where my wife and I spent the evening chatting and laughing.
On our first evening my wife and I chooes to dine in the restaurant. There was a great selection for both Bar food and ala cart. I chose the beef burger, but when it arrived I found it to be raw. I called the waitress and pointed it to her and I changed for a chicken burger. When it arrived after waiting approxamately 25 minutes and my wife was finished her meal I found the chips were only half cooked. Altogether a very poor diding experience in such a lovely hotel.
I informed the receptionist the next morning when we were checking out who said she would pass it on to management. I am still awaiting a reply from them.

Super luxury hotel within 5 minutes walk
of the town.
The only thing we didn’t like was the paper (!) bathmats which were very surprising for such a classy hotel!

Great location, right next to the bus and train stations. Very good food in restaurant, nice outdoor sitting area with bar service, very nice indoor bar area, very pleasant and helpful staff, choice of room cleaning service, i.e, replenish only, full cleaning of room if desired, no service at all if that's what's preferred. Water and snack in room upon arrival.
No AC, and the room phone didn't work.

Sligo Southern Hotel was an excellent experience. Rooms were quite comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was also as expected. Other amenities (pool, gym) were also nice. Location to downtown Sligo city was excellent and within walking distance for our party. Sligo Southern Hotel would be highly recommended.
Nothing to recommend at this time.

location is great, next door to the train station. 5 minute walk into town and next to the show grounds for football fans.
no aircon in the room. old school key and only 1 per room even when sharing with 2 people.

Excellent location next to rail and bus stations, yet set in it's own grounds on the edge of the shopping and commercial centre of Sligo. Plush hotel with excellent facilities. Competitive priced menu too. Large very comfortable room and an excellent night's sleep. My only disappointment was staying briefly. This is a gem to savour. Excellent.
Leaving!

Room was great! Loved the soft pillows and really had a great sleep. Didn't have breakfast. Location is perfect walking distance into Town. Have been coming to Sligo and staying in this lovely Hotel for many years. Will be back soon!!
Kettle facility not obvious. Face cloths/flannels would really be a good addition to towels.
